Happy with my purchase!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I've used the attachment to combine ground meats and spices for Swedish meatballs and made a couple of batches of ham salad. Everything worked well; one of the keys from what I've done is to put the grinding attachment for a couple of hours before using.

Simple to Use and Clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of months ago and have been loving it. It attaches easily. It performs beyond expectations, making the kind of coarsely ground meat that you can't buy in a supermarket. Perfect for chili. And it's so easy to clean.

Great grinder,but don't wash it in the dish washer
We use ours to grind chicken to make P.F. Chang's style lettuce wraps. Ground chicken that you buy at the store is so expensive, that this attachment pays for itself in just 2 or 3 batches of chicken. Just make sure that you wash it by hand and NEVER wash it in the dish washer. If you wash it in the dish washer, the metal will turn a dark gray and make your hands dirty.

Disappointed in the quality
I bought the meat grinder expecting the high quality of a kitchen Aid product. I assumed it would all be Stainless Steel (my mistake!) It works well but to my disappointment it turned a chalky gray after washing in the dishwasher. Now I don't dare use it. Definitely would not recommend. As an aside I purchased a new mixer as well and unlike my older model it has the same cheap metal used on the whip.

Great value Great Construction
have been waiting to buy this attachment for my KitchenAid for a long time. Now, I am so glad I have one. The assembly was easy and simple for the kind of power the mixer has. Not too loud during use. Sturdy construction and easy to clean. Assorted blades are perfect for my home use. Came with a great storage box. I do miss the usual "cookbook" ideas , normally included with this type of purchase.

WORTHLESS
This is useless if your trying to make deer burger. I tried ever pro tip to get to going, but it clogs up every time. You will spend more time clearing the pugged meat than grinding.

Doesn't Live Up to Expectations
I bought this grinder specifically to make almond & peanut butters. I did my research, and the Kitchen Aid site said it was suitable for making nut butters. It flat out isn't. I had to chop my almonds by hand just to get them through the coarse plate, then onto the medium plate and finally the fine plate. And the quality of the final product was more like almond flour than almond butter. Very disappointed. Hope it works better with meat.

Works Perfectly

Beautiful work

Great grinder
I know this sounds absurd but, i Ground up a whole brisket to make brisket burgers and it never missed a beat. Grinds up bacon and pork roast without clogging.

Blood leaked into the mixer! My kitchenaid smells like dead rotten animal.
I recently purchased the meat grinder. I loved it! It grind meat fast and was quiet but then i found that the liquid from the meat was leaking to the mixer. It was so disgusting! U opened the mixer and found blood and chunk of meat inside it. It was just nasty! My mixer smells like rotten dead animal! I decided to return my meat grinder. The stuffer was really slow. Meat kept getting stuck.
I wish kitchenaid will fix the leaking problem because the grinder is really nice to ground your own meat.
