Getting right to the point, this is a must have for woodworking! Regardless if you are a woodworking enthusiast, or woodworking is your career, this is a must have for your toolbox! This jig is dummy proof! It has something called automaxx clamping, which is is automatic material thickness setting that makes everything a breeze! No more guessing, or switching things out. You just simple clamp it, Set your collar on the drill to the right depth setting, and you are on your way! With a steel reinforced spine, the Kreg Jig 720 feels strong and sturdy. Unlike previous models that some say felt flimsy. Kreg also backs this up with a lifetime drill guide warranty, putting their money where their mouth is per say. Overall, Kreg did it again providing a quality jig product helping to make woodworking easier for all! It's money well spent, and would be a great addition for anyone looking to take their woodworking to the next level!

    Best investment you'll make!
I bought this yesterday and finally got to use it today. What a time saver and great investment! I owned the single hole jig and after using this, I wish I wouldn't have bought it and went straight to this jig. It's easy to use and great for a DIY-er!

If you haven't used a kreg jig you're probably really great at making your own jigs or you're spending entirely too much time striving for perfection and spinning wheels. The design of this tool is really intuitive and you can tell it was created for function and ease of use. The versatility of the tool has help my be more creative with my builds. I love to hide the hardware and make people wonder how the pieces were attaches because the jig makes it easy to hide unsightly screws and let the beauty of the wood take front stage.

Excellent system for creating pocket holes with ease, and perfect if you frequently make them in your projects. It's easy to set up, and feels sturdy. It has everything required to get started, and they even include 2 boxes of Kreg screws. I love the on-board storage of the tools and bits! The jig can be mounted to a workbench for extra stability. It’s intuitive to use, plus the manual provides good guidance for first users like me. With no experience on these, I researched their previous Kreg jig models and I think they've made quite a few improvements on this one. This new clamping system automatically adjusts to the plank's thickness instead of requiring a measurement setting. The clamp has a strong grip and is also easily adjusted with the tension knob, and it moves smoothly. The drill bit has measurements for the stop collar printed on it instead of having to place the bit inside of a guide. The dust collection system can be connected to either side and works really well! I initially tried to use a cordless drill to drill my pocket holes, and it struggled - so I switched to my driver and it was a smooth sailing. Not sure if the lack of power was on my drill or me! But if you have both, I'd reach for the driver. Overall, I love this jig and look forward to using it for many projects in the future. I’m impressed that Kreg has improved on already well-loved products.

Kreg improved on something I didn't think there was any room for improvement on. This is leaps and bounds better than the K5, and I have no complaints at all about the K5. The auto clamp works really well. There's an adjustment dial for the thickness of material. After that just clamp and go. The onboard tool storage is nice, and the dust collection is near perfect. Seriously. There's barely any dust at all left behind when hooked to my shop vac. This helps not only keep the shop clean, but also I don't have to clear dust when swapping out parts. I really couldn't be any happier with this.

Kreg 720 Pocket Hole Jig I love the automatically self adjusting clamp that securely holds your boards in place. The needed accessories (drill bit, Kreg screw driver bits, Measurement and stop adjustment hex tool) all store conveniently on-board on the back panel of the jig. There are wings, folded in for storage, that flip out for stability and to help support your work piece. They lock in place for storage, but do not lock in the out position, so may be easily knocked when moving your work piece, and need to be re-straightened to support your work. I do think it is best to clamp the jig to your work bench or mount it. Mounting holes are provided on the base of the jig. The dust collection (vacuum) adapter works well. I am very happy with this new Kreg 720 pocket hole jig. I had some scrap lumber (some scrap 1x dimensional pine, and some 3/4” plywood) and I used this pocket jig to make a shelf for some cordless drills, batteries and chargers. The pocket hole jig was easy to use, and quickly helped me make a very sturdy shelf unit.

Wow! This make pocket hole joinery super easy! When I first discovered pocket hole joinery with my first Kreg jig I thought I found the best kept secret in woodworking. Gone were dowels, and biscuits, my pocket jig sped things up considerably. I've built many different furniture projects and even used it in some remodeling construction. The only knock I had was setup was clunky. With this new jig setup is less that a minute. And if there are several pieces you have to prepare this is perfect for repeatability. The kit comes with everything you need, hole guide, pocket bit, screws and driver bits. Setup is as simple as placing the piece in the jug and pressing the lever, and the work piece is securely held. Set the material depth on the pocket bit, it's clearly marked with typical widths, just slide the collar over the bit until you see the etched size through the hole and tighten. Drill through the hole guide and you've made a perfect pocket hole. There's even a nifty dust extractor that works great when you hook your shopvac to it. There are a few accessories listed that you'll probably be interested in the bench clamp and dock adapter with adjustable stop arm. If you're doing joinery the old fashioned way you really need to consider a pocket jig, and this one makes it super efficient.

I've been using a small Kreg pocket hole jig for several years. It produces very strong joints in cabinetry, and does so quite quickly versus traditional joinery (mortis & tenon, dados and rabbets and so on). I wouldn't use it on fine furniture, but it's great for shop furniture, quick cabinets, and the like. This new 720 jig improves immensely over the small jig. It is arranged so that you can very quickly put new pieces of stock in for drilling--a pretty remarkable little invention that both clamps the piece securely and locates the pocket hole perfectly. I'm also really happy with the dust collection port--instead of sawdust all over my floor after a pocket hole project, this gets about 95%+ of the dust right into my dust collector. This is a really impressive jig--well worth the investment if you find yourself regularly using pocket hole joinery.

This Kreg pocket hole jig 720 is one of the most advanced jigs that simply does only one thing. Yes it does make perfect pocket holes, and yes it's easy to use. Having one single function makes it difficult to justify buying this jig over others. Im had the chance to use this jig on a project box. It's a good way to create pocket holes that are perfectly lined up. I never expected to see t dust port but it does come with one and simple to tie in to my vaccum although its not really necessary unless your doing commercial work.

I’ve used a rather simple Kreg Pocket Hole jig in the past with rather good results but nothing like this. I’m ready for the 720. This thing is well designed and well made. I was excited as I opened the box to see what was inside and got even more excited after following the QR code on the box and watching the video. Then I tried it out. Wow. The first things you notice is how well thought out and how adaptable this tool is. It truly is easy to use. The base stores all the bits and drivers so a case really isn’t necessary. One by one those accessories lock into place so they’re not likely to go anywhere on their own. That includes the depth gauge that doubles as a hex wrench for tightening the bit collar in place. The drivers are magnetized which is a nice feature to have when you are driving the pocket screws. For extra support, wings at the base of the Jig fold out and extend the base to just under 13”. Extending the wings also reveals mounting holes on either side of the base that can be used to permanently and almost permanently secure the jig in place -nice if you want a dedicated workplace. The specialized drill bit is rather sharp and cuts through the wood easily. Aligning the hole in the bit collar with markings on the bit sets the bit for the proper wood thickness. An adapter fits into the Jig to connect your vacuum hose. A second adapter is included for connecting larger diameter hoses. Both adapters fit snuggly and stay put once assembled. This dust collection system works surprisingly well being that it is so easy to assemble and connect. That makes for easier drilling as well. The clamp seems easy to engage and disengage but does hold the workpiece securely. For my trial I did extend the wings but I did not clamp the Jig to the worktable. No matter, things worked as they were supposed to. The Kreg 720 Pocket-Hole Jig pretty much insures instant success. Results are a strong connection that looks professional. This is a much less fussy style of joinery. As for me, I’m looking into the docking station, the plug cutter, and the smaller diameter drill guide accessories.

This is an advanced pocket jig by Kreg. We have had a basic one for more than twenty years and this one is so much easier to use, though we have used the older one consistently over the years. The jig has a lever which will automatically adjust the width of it to your board. It also has a hose attachment so it can easily be connected to vacuum system so keep your workspace cleaner and cut down on particles in the air. The tool has everything you need to use with your power drill to make pocket holes to assemble drawers, cabinets and much more. The clamp that comes with it is used to hold the two pieces of wood together as you attach them together with screws. There is a small measuring guide for telling how wide your board is for setting your drill bit which is also included. The tool can be set horizontal or vertical which makes it easy to use depending on your project. This is a great jig if you are making a lot of pocket holes, which we will as we will be using the tool to make a full wall (18 feet) of built-in cabinets for our craft room. That is only one of the many projects we have in mind.

This is a well thought out tool that is simple to use and has great overall design and function. All the extra bits and tools are stored in the black plastic, side of the jig. The extra tools include the Kreg drill bit, two long 1/8” square tipped drivers that are 3” and 6” long. Both driver bits are magnetized so screws are held tightly in the drivers square tip. This jig has two wings that fold out to stabilize the jig and your work. This makes working with long boards much easier to get level and square in the jig. The tool has a injection molded plastic outer shell or body but all the parts that do the real clamping work are steel. The jig has a 3/16” steel “L” shaped spine or keel that holds everything together, along with all the other internal moving and clamping parts. The extra bits and tools are stored in the black plastic, side of the jig. The extra tools include; 1- Kreg drill bit, two 1/8” square tipped drivers that are 3” and 6” long. Both driver bits are magnetized so screws are held to the drivers square tip. With this jig you can easily make professional hidden joints at home with just a simple hand drill. The included Kreg drill bit has two steps on the cutting end. One step bores the hole for the screw shaft, the other larger step, makes a seat for the screws head to pull the two wood pieces together for a very strong, hidden professional joint. The drills upper shaft has laser engraved markings for different thicknesses of wood 1/2” 3/4” and 1 1/2”. These markings are used with the stop collar to get the correct drilling depth. The allen wrench tool for the set screw in the drills collar has markings to check the boards thickness and get the exact depth set for the holes. How easy is that! The jig self adjusts for the boards thicknesses automatically from 1/2” to 1-1/2” , you can adjust the amount of clamping pressure on the jig with the + - thumb screw on the jigs side. This jig kit comes with a very complete, well illustrated and easy to understand tri-lingual English, Spanish and French manual. The manual has a “step by step” section that will take you through the entire process of setup, measuring board thicknesses and drilling. Kreg has a wide variety of project plans available through there website. The web based plans and projects is a great way to get started with the jig or as inspiration. Or if your new it has a great learning center. Kreg has done a great job of putting the customer first. The jig has a two piece dust control kit that works great. It has a hard plastic blade that inserts into the side of the clamping foot (from either side) and a soft rubber vacuum hose adapter to connect to different shop vacuum hose sizes. This jig comes with two boxes of screws to get you started, one box of 1-1/4” 40 count, and one 1-1/2” 20 count. Two other items that are not included but are available; plug cutting drill bit guide to cut plugs from the same wood that your project is made from and a Kreg micro drill guide for smaller projects.

This was the first attempt at using a pocket hole jig. And I must admit that I was a little intimidated at first. But the Kreg 720 Pocket Hole Jig was so simple to use. That I wish that I hadn't waited so long. First thing you notice is the size of the jig. Built solid and well thought out design. It even has a tool compartment built in to keep track of the bits. I thought I would try something simple. So I made a plain frame. I even tested out the strength of the screw bond by placing my dove tail jig on top of an open end of my box. This was one great strong test. And as you can see by the picture, it passed with flying colors. The people from Kreg really knoe how to design a great tool. Di I recommend this product. You bet I do.

Kreg has really leveled up their pocket hole jig. This 720 model is has a lot of improvements over the K5 model. The model comes with a few additional items like the material thickness guide, dust collection attachment, drill bit with stop collar, 6” driver bit and a 3” driver bit. The jig as onboard storage for all these items. The improvements this model has over the K5 very clearly is the locking clamp and drill guid are one so you don’t have to determine your material thickness twice like you do with the K4 or K5 models. The jig is also set up so that you can position it multiple ways to perform the pocket hole, this is different from the K4 or K5 where they were basically only meant to her oriented one way. The 720 also has built in smaller support wings that can be retracted when not needed. The pro version of this appears to have a thicker support base if you might want something like that. The material clamp is great and is very smooth out of the box and put the right amount of hold on my work piece. I tested this 720 against the K5 on pocket hole placement and they were spot on so the clamp does what it is supposed to do and places the drill guide in the correct area. The onboard storage area is great and the drill bit stop collar area has a guide for where to place the stop collar. This is a nice feature but still wish they had a process to place the stop collar in the correct place automatically based on the piece that you clamp in, something similar to another brand that does pocket hole jigs. The jig itself can handle material thickness from 1/2” to 1 1/2”, so kind of maxes out on a your standard 2x4. The clamp uses the Automaxx Clamp mechanism so you really only change the desired holding power for the clamp. The clamp will adjust to the piece side to hold the material. The final item I liked that thought was an improvement over the dust collection on this 720. The K5 has good dust collection in my opinion but this one was far better than the K5 and I was just using a little battery powered shop vacuum. The dust collection comes with an adapter and can be positioned on either side of the jig. Overall I think if you like the Kreg K4 or K5 I would look into upgrading to this model. The 720 can really speed up your pocket hole game.

This Jig is the easiest I have ever used! The jig is designed into a well made clamping system. It has swing out legs to improve stability. It includes holes so that it may be screwed down to a work surface for even greater stability. The amount of clamping pressure can be adjusted with an adjusting screw located on the side of the clamp. There are indicators on the drill jig that assist in correctly locating the work piece to be drilled. There are etched numbers on the bit to assist in correctly locating the stop collar on the bit. Both of these features speed up the process for correctly locating the holes to be drilled. Two adapters are provided to allow different size vacuum hoses to be attached. Helping to keep your worksite clean while drilling.

The Kreg 720 Pocket Hole Jig is big step forward for Kreg. I am a firm believer in pocket hole joinery. The joints are strong and don't require glue. I have used the Kreg K4 Pocket-Hole System for years and the 720 has solid improvements to make it faster and easier to use. First, the 720 is bigger, heavier and much more stable on a work surface. The K4 must be clamped down to use, but the 720 doesn't. The mechanism that 720 uses to clamp the working piece uses downward locking lever. That helps keep your work from moving away. It also makes it much easier to take the 720 to the work piece instead of the other way around. The locking mechanism is super easy to adjust without any additional tools. The 720 has onboard storage for the essential accessories such is drill bit, square drive bit, and hex wrench. The set up for placing the locking collar on the drill bit is also easier than my older model. In the pics below I fastened 5/8" lumber to a 1/2" plywood surface with 1 1/4" coarse Kreg screws. Perfect joints the first time. Clamping the 720 down is possible with an additional accessory. It would be nice if using the vice-grip type clamps would work here. An upgrade I would like to see in a storage case/organizer for the 720. It is a marvelous machine and would pack better in my tool storage cabinets with a rectangular case of some sort. In any case, this is hands down the best pocket hole jig I have used.

Newest lineup from Kreg in their benchtop pocket hole jig. This jig comes equipped with a port connector for your Shop-Vac to the suck up any wood chips when drilling through the Wood piece. Back of the jig has a place for all the accessories 1 long square bit and 1 short square bit plus the tool which to tighten the collar that goes over the drill bit and drill bit. Kit comes with two screw sizes 20 2 1/2 inch and 40 1 1/4. The great feature about this is that it is self-adjusting when you push down the clamp. It will automatically adjust from 1/2 inch to an 1 1/2 thick just press the handle and the pocket hose jig will adjust to the thickness of the wood. The jig itself has a anti-slip material so when you push down on the handle and start to drill the project doesn't scoot around. Would have loved to seen a case to put this jig in to carry around to different jobs. Overall Kreg always makes quality engineered tools for woodworkers a must have for anyone who has woood projects

Another pocket hole winner from Kreg. I love doing pocket holes and find they are one of the strongest and easiest ways to join wood. I use them for building shelves, tables, boxes, and cabinets. I started with a basic unit and this is so much better. The pictures show all the key features. The clamping system is built in and is so easy to use and adjust for various thicknesses of wood. The base holds all the basic items you need for drilling and setting screws (a sample of two sizes is included). Wood can be drilled horizontally or vertically and there are side supports for vertical pieces. You can also mount the unit to a workbench for added stability. A few added accessories are available as needed or upgrade to the 720PRO and get them included..

I've never owned a pocket hole jig before, and took a chance on the Kreg 720 while it was on sale. It was super easy to use, and the included accessories made it a breeze to setup and get straight to work. I opted for this model over the pro version because the basic functionality is the same, and I didn't need the extra accessories. The base 720 model also has thin 'wings' that fold out to help stabilize thinner boards. I would have loved an included clamp to keep the jig clamped down to the table, but overall I am happy and would buy again.
