Missing common features
This is a good looking fridge but once we bought it and had it installed, be we very disappointed when we realized it was missing a few common features that we had enjoyed on our replaced GE Profile fridge....Namely 1) The temperature setting feature only tells you what the temperature is that you have the fridge and freezer set for, but not what the actual temperature is in the fridge/freezer. No way to tell the actual temperature in the fridge/freezer. An important feature, I believe. 2) There is no light in the space where you get water or ice, unless you are actually dispensing water or ice. You can't turn on the light to use as a night light. If you are trying to get a drink in the middle of the night, you have to feel your way around. Really miss this feature after enjoying it for several years, on our GE. 3) And lastly, and maybe the most annoying, in the water/ice dispensing area you can choose from "cubed" "water" or "crushed", in that order. But again, in the middle of the night, you can't tell which it is set to dispense because of no light in the serving area, and also the label "cubed" "water" or "crushed"is not illuminated. Overall.....very disappointed in our purchase and would not buy again or recommend.

    French Door Refrigerator LFXC22526S
    The water coming into the refrigerator bypasses the filter completely, so I'm disappointed that I cannot use ice or water from this refrigerator. My previous LG, larger model worked fine.

      Refrigerator space
      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a counter depth refrigerator you lose some depth, but this has not been an issue due to the door icemaker not taking up any interior shelf space. We previous had a side by side counter depth unit and the shelf space was so limited. We love having the ability to put larger dishes, i.e. 9"x13" baking pans, in without taking up a whole shelf. The freezer compartment is very spacious and the upper tray is deep enough to accommodate and 1/2 galleon ice cream tub, a stable in our freezer. The black stainless looks outstanding and we have gotten several complements on the look. There is so much space in the refrigerator portion we have not been able to fill it yet:)

        Uneven doors
        The right door sits taller than the left even after the installation crew installed a ring which did make them a little more even. The right door sticks out from the left and looks uneven. This is a product quality issue and I am not blaming HD or the delivery crew. LG can you fix my fridge doors? I purchased this fridge in backorder back in December 2021 but had it delivered in February 2022.

          After being disappointed with Frigidaire at the last house we...
          After being disappointed with Frigidaire at the last house we did some research on Consumer Reports and found out that LG is a good brand. The icemaker is in the door and does not take up any interior space in the shelves. There is also a larger ice bin in the top drawer of the freezer section. The shelves are very adjustable. The water dispenses cold! All works well so far and it is very quiet. Oh yes, forgot to mention, my wife likes that the bottom freezer drawer opens very easily and if you leave any doors/drawer open too long, the fridge plays a gentle reminder to close it. Not a great pic as we are still unpacking!

            Worst Service by LG Do Not Buy!
            Honestly stay away from LG! No ice no cold air nothing! A tech came out pulled out the fridge out the cabinets. Opened the rear panel and walked out side.Came back in took pictures of the floor with minor old rat droppings. And pushed the fridge in. Told us to call LG he can’t work on it. Now LG is voiding our 10yr warranty due to rat droppings! There is no damage to inside of the fridge nor droppings, and we have no rats. They want us to fumigate, we declined, and now they voided our warranty.

                Very nice fridge!!
                Bought this for our newly renovated house, and I’m obsessed!! Very easy to clean with stainless polish/cleaner, we have kids and have come to notice that yes it definitely is smudge resistant!

Trying to find what I wanted in the size I needed seemed next to impossible. My house was built in 2000 when refrigerators were much smaller in size. The opening I have in my cabinets seems to be very short, which makes finding a French door refrigerator very difficult. I was about to give up and go with a smaller apartment size fridge when I found this beauty! It had everything I wanted. French door style with ice and water on the door. And it fits!! So far I am very happy with my purchase. The only thing I have to get used to is the fact that you have to open both doors in order to open our meat and cheese drawer in the fridge. Also, the water tastes a bit funny but I’m hoping that will lessen as we use it more. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. And I would recommend this refrigerator.

                    We have had this refrigerator for about a month. We love the features of it and the fact that it fits in our small space. However, we are already experiencing chipping of the paint! It is very frustrating when the refrigerator is only a month old.

                        Horrible Refrigerator
                        We purchased this very expensive unit because our prior GE had had issues with the water dispenser freezing up and not working. This LG is less than a year old and has the same problem. I get an error code IF E weekly. The fix? LG advises us to "simply unplug and completely defrost the unit" This process takes over 24 hours, rendering the refrigerator useless. This "fix" works for a couple of days. This unit is horrible. Do NOT purchase!

                          Easiest refrigerator to find things in

                            Stylish with Features
                            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our refrigerator in June. I was thrilled to replace the previous side by side style with the French door model with a bottom freezer drawer. Despite it being counter-depth it still has plenty of drawers to store fruits, veggies, deli items and jarred items along with narrow shelves in the left door to house salad dressings easily. The water/ice dispenser on the door is also convenient. Having the option for making craft ice is another fun feature.

                              Great Space and Features

This is my first French door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. It makes great use of all of the space and has two icemakers! Definitely an added bonus! It looks fabulous in my kitchen with the no fingerprint stainless steel and has digital display. Great looking fridge! it has a lot of features including smart grid Wi-Fi that I will be learning how to use!

                                Problems, only had it 3 weeks
                                This fridge is brand new, from the start, the code 15 E has been on. No ice or water will work through the door. A repair man came out yesterday and replaced lower icemaker, the code came back on. Very frustrated so far!! Still not fixed!

                                      LG 26.2ft Black SS French Dr Refrigerator w/Wi-Fi [LFXS26973D] The delivery was OK except installers left before leveling the doors and the unit. The doors are off by 3/4 inch (one higher than the other) and the left door closes hard(fast unless you hold handle until it closed) and the right door does not close unless manually closed all the way. The wrench to level the doors does not work as there are pieces of steel in the way of turning the adjustment nut. I've tried multiple times to get HomeDepot to correct. As of this review (~50 days after install) we've not had the doors corrected. The refrigerator is a nice unit. The door water doesn't get very cold and I assume that it's not passing through the internal side of the fridge but most likely inside the insulated wall space only getting moderately cooler. What was odd, it took about two weeks for the water start cooling and you would only get room temperature water. The door ice maker and the ice bin in the freezer space are OK. They don't make ice quickly but they started making ice in just a few hours. The door ice storage will bind up if you don't use it daily. I assume since it's located adjacent to the fridge space that the ice melts and refreezes during cooling cycles. Multiple times we had to remove the bin and VERY gently break apart the ice so we would not damage the flimsy ice container. If you don't keep the ice loose the door ice dispenser motor may burn out attempting to dispense a frozen block of ice.

                                      Very slow to making ice. Low water pressure.
                                      When making ice it’s very slow compared to our old whirlpool. We ran out of ice around 8:00 pm, went to bed. This is all the ice the refrigerator made in 10 hours with the “Ice Plus” turned on "top bin 2/3 full, Bottom bin around 40 ice cubes (see pictures). With the 2 of us using the refrigerator the top icemaker can keep up with our needs so far here in March but when summer hits 110+ in the summer (Las Vegas, Nevada) we will have to turn back on the lower ice maker which will take away from our freezer storage. The ice cubes are very small. Another small complaint is the water pressure coming out of the water dispenser is low. It’s ok for filling glasses but if you’re using it for coffee pots and cooking it will become an issue. My water pressure going into the refrigerator is 55psi. Have had this unit for 10 days. Home depot I give 5 stars for the sale and the delivery process. our unit is Model# LFXS26973S

                                                  2 years old and it nearly destroyed my floor
                                                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator, along with a full kitchen of LG appliances, was purchased new from a home improvement store. The refrigerator worked great the first few months, but then the ice/water dispenser in the door would occasionally drip water. Apparently this is part of some defrost, maintenance cycle the refrigerator does periodically and is normal - however coming home to water spots in the unit. Otherwise, up until about 3 weeks ago, the unit reliably kept food cold as one would expect from a refrigerator. I wish there was more room, by arranging the shelving, for tall objects like milk. Now, at 2 years old, my refrigerator's ice/water dispenser activated on its own and proceeded to dispense the entire ice bin onto the kitchen floor. Luckily, I was home and heard the crashing noises of ice hitting the floor and going everywhere. The dispenser would not stop, regardless of pushing the dispenser paddle (where you would push a glass to start the dispenser). Activating the child lock stopped the dispenser, but the refrigerator still wants to dispense water or ice and the light in the dispenser stays on around the clock now. Had the dispenser been set to water and I was at work when this happened, I would have come home to hundreds of gallons of water and significant flood damage. I did purchase the extended warranty, which covers the refrigerator for 5 years. The repair tech said the refrigerator requires a new control board (a large circuit board located on the back of the unit). After waiting 3 weeks, I'm told the part is not available, and there is no ETA or estimate on when, or if, the part will ever be available again. In summary, this is my first experience with LG appliances. Of the 3 major LG kitchen appliances I purchased new 2 years ago, 2 have had serious problems between the 1 and 2 year mark, that required a service technician to order parts to get the appliance working again. All models had top ratings and reviews at the time of purchase, which heavily influenced my decision to purchase this refrigerator, and the other LG appliances. Also, I live alone, so my appliances don't get lot of use. It is my opinion, based on how the refrigerator is holding up, that it would be a poor choice for a busy family where it could see even regular daily usage. As of now, I am faced with having to replace a 2 year old refrigerator. I will not purchase LG appliances again.

We went with the complete suite of LG appliances for laundry and kitchen. A total of seven appliances. We went with the LG 22 CU. FT. SMART WI-FI ENABLED FRENCH DOOR COUNTER-DEPTH REFRIGERATOR and are very satisfied. The refrigerator shelves could not be arranged any better. WE have the water dispenser on the outside of door but still have shelf space on the inside. Very quiet and easy to keep clean. Love it.

                                                      Nothing but problems with LG appliances
                                                      In conjunction with a new kitchen renovation we bought all new LG appliances on 6/3/2019. Refrigerator model LFXC22526S Microwave model LMV1760ST Dishwasher model LDT7808ST Range/oven model LRE3194ST After discovering wet carpet in the hall adjacent to the kitchen on 12/29/2020, we found the refrigerator was leaking water out from the lower icemaker connection on the rear of the refrigerator (not the main icemaker water supply line to the refrigerator). On 1/6/2021, the LG repair tech stated water was freezing in the line which caused a water blockage and the subsequent leak. He installed some tape insulation on the water line and reinserted the water line. A week later on 1/14/2021, we discovered wet carpet in the hall again and water was again leaking from the same icemaker line. On 1/19/2021, the LG repair tech replaced both the upper and lower icemakers and indicated hard water was the cause for the leaks which is questionable. However, as of 2/19/2021, no further water leaks have been apparent, but the lower icemaker has quit making or dropping ice which will necessitate another service call. Also, on 2/19/2021, the microwave is “dead” after making a loud “pop” causing the circuit breaker to trip in the main electrical panel. Finally, on 2/22/2021, significant condensation was noted running down the front of the dishwasher during the drying cycle. The condensation leaves streaks on the stainless steel front and puddles on the floor. While no issues to date have been noted with the range/oven, the reliability and engineering of LG appliances are certainly questionable after less than 20 months of light use by only my wife and me. Would not recommend LG.

                                                        Poor Quality
                                                        I am surprised LG is rated highly by Consumer Reports. I couldn't get my doors to align until I noticed that the height of the left and the right lower hinges are not the same - basically a factory defect. Also, like what the other reviewers say, the left door slams shut and makes a loud noise. I cannot return this fridge even though it's within 48 hours of the delivery because I cannot find a replacement fridge that can be delivered soon enough. I went back to Home Depot to try out the doors of other brands, they either have soft close or at least, do not slam shut (all the LG left doors slam shut.) There's quality control issues on these refrigerators. I hope this does not result in long term issues with the fridge.
