I bought mattress which is too firm & I was thinking to return it, luckily I found this amazing product on Home depot & loves it. Mattress is firm & not soggy but I get the softness which won't hurt my back. For all those people who have been struggling in finding not too firm & not too soft should apply this on their mattress.

The first several nights, it was really nice. Since then, it has settled and doesn't provide as much cushioning in the key areas (lower back), but it's still an improvement over the plain mattress; I'm a 6'0" tall, 170 lb man.

I love this mattress topper! It is so soft. my son says it's like sleeping on a cloud and the shipping was very fast. I have only had it a few weeks but so far it has met all my expectations. What stands out the most to me is the straps that fit over the mattress to hold it in place.

There are two squares that do not puff up at all, while the rest of the squares are fluffy. Also, the part you are laying on goes completely flat. The only thing you can feel is what's surrounding your body, because there is not enough filling. You cannot feel it underneath you.

The twin Down Alternative Fiber Bed topper. It looked wonderful....
The twin Down Alternative Fiber Bed topper. It looked wonderful. I had to air it out when it first arrived. China does have it's own smell. The smell was gone by the next day. I put it on the bed, covered it with a sheet and lay on it. Very soon it felt like it was only a blanket worth of padding. I woke with sore hips because it doesn't stay soft and puffy. It goes flat. I fluffed it up, turned it over, tried it again. Same result. It feels the same as sleeping on a flat blanket. I took it back. I was very impressed that Home depot accepted the return with no problems. Home Depot is amazing about returns. I bought a twin sized piece of Home Depot Foam instead. The soft one.

It felt wonderful when we first got it --- really...
It felt wonderful when we first got it --- really comfy. However, after several weeks of use it has really flattened out (I weigh 138), so I am not putting so much force on it. In places it is totally flat. Nowhere is it close to 3" any more. Too bad since the idea is great and it makes a difference in softening a hard mattress. I think it needs a bunch more of the down alternative in all of the squares to give it more substance to withstand use. I was expecting something that would last over time. Looking at the photo of the product and looking at mine with less than a month's use and there is such a difference.
