Purchased unit and it failed upon installation. Returned it and purchased identical unit, which was quite easy to install and is functioning perfectly...

Better description is needed on the outside of the package. It did not indicate direct connection to the house wiring via a type “J” electrical box. Had to open box to discover. Made for another trip to the store.

Good product. Inexpensive, easy to mount, functions well. Bought several to replace missing or expired fire stairwell units two weeks ago.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. There are numerous plastic knock-outs on the back to allow for easy mounting in just about any situation you might run into. We are using the light in a large meeting room about 50' by 40'. There is enough light to guide people as they head for the exits.

The light is easy to install. The mounting bracket is simple and straightforward. It’s easy to break out the top knockout for power to be installed. Make sure to hook up connections inside and install wire nuts onto unused wires.

This emergency light is dual-voltage input (120/277V), providing a wide range of uses. This is not just a simple emergency light with a battery, it includes some clever electronics that not only limit currents but also provide onboard diagnostics (self-diagnostic testing for 30 seconds every 30 days, 30 minutes at 180-day interval, and 90 minutes annually), as well as a 30 second diagnostic test with the push of the test switch, You can mount on a wall or on the ceiling using either a J box or flexible 1/2 inch conduit. At around 10 inch by 4 inch and 3 /12 deep they do not take up a lot of space or look obtrusive. Weighing 4lbs you can anchor these to drywall if studs are not available. The bright LEDs give plenty of light and run for an impressive 90 minutes. The Ni-Cad battery is completely maintenance free and has a typical life of up to 9 years, When it is time to replace the battery the LED diagnostic LED will warn you.

Emergency lights were easy to install, Batteries were charge fully within 48 hrs. Recommend them for your home and shop usaged. Would buy them again.
