I bought this pan for recipes that require high-temperature browning or sautéing. Previously using nonstick pans it would discolor them and make them hard to clean. This works great on the stove top and is easy to clean.

Great Lodge quality skillet. The 12 inch width gives ample room for serving guests and family. Price was very good. Delivery right on time.

I love it and it was delivered.

Had a very small chip with rust on the tip of the handle. Not a big deal and certainly not worth sending back over, but its why 4 instead of 5 stars. The pre-seasoning left a few lumps on the inside bottom of pan and wasn't great as far as food sticking, but all of that is completely normal. Probably worth doing on manual seasoning before cooking with it but not necessary. Over all a good purchase. Can spend 5 times more and get an iron skillet with a smoother cooking surface, but not worth it as you can sand this down if you really want to, or just wait for the seasoning to build up to get same result.

Handle gets very hot in few mins of use. Handle cover is a must and realized only after using it. Then ordered silicon handle cover and waited another week. Wish it was mentioned in description. Also the pan itself is very inconsistent.. sometimes it gets hot too soon and sometimes not ..

I initially was happy with my purchase. However 4 days later, after 5 uses I am already seeing that the pot is rusting. It's only been 4 day's and I have oiled the pot after each clean and use. Being from Louisiana, I know it wasn't the quality that I am us to; however it still should not me rusting like this after 4 days and being cooked in 5 times. Will be returning this weekend.

I have only cooked a few times, a challenge for me but I will improve.

I have several Lodge cast iron products but this is the first one I've bought that had sharp protrusions in the bottom of the pan. A pancake turner can't slide over these, and since you need to hand wash it, you have to be careful. It can actually cut you or puncture your finger.
