Very easy to install onto an existing 3 point In-Sink-Erator mount. Sound level is fairly low if you have a strainer in place. Otherwise sound level just a little lower or comparable to the old Badger 5 it replaced. Quick to stop spinning compared to the 14plus year old Badger 5 that it replaced. I am pleased with purchase after a week of moderate use. Unit is narrow enough to fit comfortably between the two large bowls of our three bowl sink. No negatives that I can think of as it does what it is supposed to do effectively.

This disposal was very easy to install. I put it in where there was not an exciting disposal. Instructions was great and very quiet. Has very good power to grind food. We love it and to top it off we use less garbage bags and no odors from the indoor garbage can.

Our old disposal was cracked and leaking.. had to be replaced.. My wife wanted a plumber but I watched a you tube video..on disposal installs.. So I had good idea of what was involved. A great price at home depot . As I walked in these were on display. Very easy to install.. This unit had the power cord already attached so I did not need to mess with wire strippers or any electrical work at all. Just followed the directions . The old connections to the drain and dishwasher connected right up. No need to replace hoses or pvc pipe.. Great deal

This disposer is very powerful and I especially like that it doesn't take up so much room under the sink as the one it replaced. Even with the sound deadening feature, it's really loud, but then they ALL are. At least this one doesn't have to be running for very long to clear the contents, so the noise is over very quickly. Overall, great purchase!

Good disposer, not easy for direct wiring
I do not have long term experience with this disposer to judge durability, so this will only address installation. I needed to install the disposer with direct wiring from a wall switch. Local code says I need to protect the wiring through a flexible and armored conduit which already exists. I needed to remove the power cord with which this disposer came installed as standard. There were no instructions on how to remove the power cord and install direct wiring. Removal was not too hard when I finally realized that the cord was held in place by a snap ring. Removing the snap ring allowed the power cord to be removed after cutting the wires and disconnecting the ground wire. There is plenty of wire so cutting them close to the crimped connection leaves enough to reconnect using wire nuts. I had to install a conduit nipple to the opening left by the power cord removal. After measuring the opening left after removing the power cord, a standard size nipple and retaining nut is sufficient. Connecting the conduit to the nipple was no problem and running the wires from the wall switch through the conduit and into the connection chamber in the disposer was not too difficult. There is very little room in the connection chamber in the disposer, but I was able to find small enough wire nuts to connect the wires and get the ground wire installed to fit under the cover. It would be nice if a direct wiring kit could be purchased as an option, or if the the product came with instructions and a part list needed. Once it was all connected electrically, the rest was standard plumbing which was well described in the instructions and easy to follow. The mounting flange was also simple to install into my sink. The disposer installed leak free and is operating as expected. The only other small complaint is that the rubber drain insert doesn't allow the free draining of water in the sink and takes longer than I like to drain. I may modify the insert to trim the flaps and allow more room for draining. The noise is not louder than I would expect, and is quieter than the Insinkerator Badger disposer it replaced. Besides the direct wiring guesswork, I am satisfied with this product so far. Submitted photos show the conduit installed into the disposer.

Exactly what I was looking for. I replaced a 15 year old Badger disposal with this Moen. I like the smaller footprint with this design. I use the space for storing cleaning supplies and this leaves me more room to navigate under the sink. A little quieter than the Badger, & more efficient.

My GE GFC525F wouldn’t spin any longer so I wanted to get something similar in size and power. I didn’t need anything in the higher HP range since I only occasionally use the disposal and this seemed to be a good fit on paper. Once I removed the old GE unit, the installation of the new one was pretty straightforward. I did use the Moen sink flange since the GE unit used a slightly different mounting method and the old GE flange was pretty beat up. Get some good plumbers putty and make sure to use enough so that it seals well, you can clean up what squishes out at the end of the installation. The only difficult part of the install was the snap ring in the mounting assembly, if you have an extra pair of hands they’ll come in handy. Once in, the rest of the installation is simple. I didn’t need to knock out the plug for the dishwasher since it went into a different line. Overall the installation took around an hour by myself including clean up and testing, I’d call myself a home improvement novice.

Had plumber install it. It is quieter than our old insinkerator and it seems to work very well. It has a different sound, a little more high piched, with 2700 rpms it does the job! Have had it for 1 month.

            Good replacement solution
I replaced a similar powered garbage disposal in my main kitchen sink with this unit. I liked the drain assembly, which is typical of the benchmark disposals out there, although the ring assembly was especially tricky on this one. The parts and plug all come with it so it was a pretty easy swap once I got the old drain assembly off the sink. The grinding performance is better than what I replaced and the noise is about the same. Great solution for typical kitchens and easy to replace if you have a plug-in unit.

Easy replacement and a compact footprint
Most garbage disposals are easy to install and easy to operate. This one is no exception. It has a Universal Xpress Mount which fits most pre-installed assemblies. My previous installation was by InSinkErator and the MOEN fit on it with ease. MOEN includes their own flange, so it’s an easy swap if you choose to have the MOEN logo displayed in your sink. All the parts and some accessories were included: a removable splash guard, drain stopper, MOEN sink flange, drain elbow and mounting assembly (with screws). Now, here is the IMPORTANT part.. The POWER CORD is permanently ATTACHED. If you want a direct electrical feed and don’t have or want to install an outlet, then you may want a different model as the power cord doesn’t come off. This is a plug-in only model. Would be nice to see a dual install option. It isn’t overly loud and comparable in noise to my older but more powerful 3/4 HP Badger. It doesn’t appear to have extra insulation and is therefore slimmer compared to my old unit. There are quieter models out there, but they do cost more. One thing I’d like to point out is that when I turn it on, it makes a single metal click that is fairly loud. I have never heard that sound before from any other garbage disposal. Sounds like it’s coming from the inside and not from the “knives”. So I’m not sure if it’s meant to be that way or if it’s a defect, but it does work fine otherwise. There is 3-year warranty offered with in-home service. Overall, a really nice garbage disposal that simply works.

            Powerful Nice Garbage Disposal
GX Series 3/4 HP Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal This is a great garbage disposal. ¾ hp is awesome. It's fairly quiet for a disposal. It sounds loud in the video, but its pretty quiet compared to my old disposal. It grinds food very well. I've never had anything jam it. Installation was super easy. It has a chrome drain piece for the bottom of the sink. It is put in with plumber putty on the bottom. I show this in the video and pictures. The mount is a partial turn just like other disposals. The only major change was I had to add a wall plug under the sink because this disposal comes with a 120 wall plug instead of just being hardwired in. I actually like that a lot better. I've included a video of it running. It is a great disposal and the chrome drain is pretty.

            Very Happy With This!
This is my first garbage disposal and very happy with this unit. As soon as I took it out of the box, you can see the quality, solid but a very sleek design. Installation was pretty straight forward, some simple plumbing, but since I didn't have an outlet under my sink, I had to run a new line, no big deal, but I opted for an air switch button instead of a wall switch so the installation is pretty clean. Once up and running the disposal runs really good, a lot quieter than I expected, but it handles everything my family throws at it. Very glad that I chose this Moen disposal unit, it's making my life a lot easier!

            Plug & Play Install
Easy installation for replacing Badger 5 - didn't have to change sink flange. Just screw in, attach drain & diswasher lines, and plug in. Works great, no leaks.

Reliable performance, sleek and compact form.
This MOEN GX PRO 1/3 HP VORTEX Motor garbage disposal unit is Moen smallest, packed full of standard features and reliable performance into a sleek and compact form. Our house composts all non meat food waste, so this unit fits us very well. We hated the little screen basket in the drain because you never know what in it, so it goes to the garbage. The Compact design and frees up valuable space under the sink. I did have to add a electrical outlet below my sink for this unit, and a future Dishwasher replacement. I used the "Plumbers Third Hand tool" to help me install. This unit offers the quality and performance I expect from MOEN. It comes with 2 Year Limited Warranty with In-Home Service guarantees. As a long time home owner the Moen names represents quality to us.

              Easy
As a replacement unit, I was happy this was smaller than the unit it replaced. Even so, it was as quiet as our previous disposal. I was unaware Moen made disposals - but I had high expectations since I have enjoyed their other products. Installation was quick and easy. This was the first disposal that I didn't need to wire a plug to - it already has a cord and plug attached. The disposal works well and we haven't had any jams (but we are pretty conservative when we use a disposal).

              Works Fantastic High Quality Disposal
First, it came well packaged and good instructions, The instructions show a single sink but Moen did have instructions for double sink on their products, so I did not call the plumber and just did it myself. I did take a trip to the store one more time to get the extension so it can reach the drain coming from the garbage disposal, but it was only a couple of dollars. I like that the disposal has a plug already, so it can be plugged directly to an outlet with a switch. It makes noise but it is not loud. I also like that is dishwasher ready and the instructions do show how to install the hose coming from the dishwasher. that will be my next thing to do but for the time being it works great. 6 year warranty is a plus. Overall it was an easy installation once I got everything needed and it works great. oh and with a stainless steel grind chamber, what else is there more to ask. Fantastic.

              Couldn't be more pleased
The disposal is very quite compared to other disposals I have owned. Unless you open your cabinet and look at the unit under the sink all you really see is the sink flange and the drain stopper. The sink flange is made out of high quality stainless so when you look in your sink you only see this shinny awesome looking unit that compliments your sink. It comes with a cord and most don't. That way you can plug it into an outlet under your sink. We were lucky enough to already have one. The directions are straight forward so just about any DIYer can install this unit in no time. If you have a septic system this one is compatible. But I would still check with your local septic guy to be sure. It has a high RPM motor that will practically eliminate jamming. Moen products by large are high quality and backed by a very good warranty.

              Loud but does the job
This garbage disposal is easy to install. The parts list picture is excellent even though they failed to label the diamond shaped metal plate that goes on the drain elbow to hold the elbow on. Having the attached power cord is a nice feature if you have a switched receptacle under your sink. If you do not, Moen recommends you install one. There are no instructions for making a hardwired connection between your disposal and a switched electrical circuit. We had a switched electrical circuit, so we installed a grounded convenience outlet so we could plug in the cord. This disposal does have an outlet to attach your dishwasher hose to the disposal. A ⅞” inside diameter dishwasher hose will fit on the outlet connector. If your dishwasher hose is not the ⅞” one, then you will require a Dishwasher Connector Kit. This kit is a special hose coupler that steps down to different size inside diameter hoses. We required the additional Connector Kit. I like the removable splash guard because it is so easy to remove. You can remove it to wash and you can take it out and easily look into the disposal being able to see the grinding area. The drain stopper is nice and helpful. This disposal has plenty of grinding power; the motor seems like a powerful one. With today’s motor technology, I was expecting a very quiet garbage disposal. However, it is not quiet and the unit seems to vibrate a little bit. Because of this one disappointment, I would not recommend this product to a friend.

              Very nice disposal. GXP50c ... 1/2 HP
Probably the most unique feature I really like on this disposal is the universal mounting assembly. This means you may not have to change out the flange. You simply unplug, disconnect the trap unit and dishwasher hose and simply twist to unlock and replace. I found it took me a total of 1/2 hour to change out disposals. However, if you wish to use the Moen stainless steel flange, the option is all yours. Another great feature on this disposal is it comes with the pre-attached electrical cord. Many disposals you must purchase this item separately and install it. This unit packs a punch for a 1/2 horsepower, and comes with a limited in house 3 year warranty. More great features include: Being ultra compact at only 13-3/8" in height and only 5-3/8" in width. The galvanized grinding mechanism operates at an impressive 2,600 RPM's. This unit is none insulated for sound, so the noise level is greater than an insulated one. But, in reality you don't operate the disposal for hours on end so it's really not intrusive. The drain stopper is plastic and not stainless steel. For a budget disposal, I highly recommend the GXP50c 1/2 HP.

              Nice quiet unit GX75c.
This is an impressive garbage disposal from Moen. At first I thought about getting the largest horsepower I could, but am happy I got the 3/4 horsepower. The disposal contains the universal mount, drain elbow, sink flange, drain stopper and splash guard. It even contains the power cord, which sometimes must be purchased separately. When installing, I use silicone instead of plumbers putty. It works better for me, and some sink manufacturers recommend silicone because plumbers putty may stain their product. This unit has sound deadening insulation, which not all disposals have. It also has stainless steel grinders and carries a limited in home warranty for 6 years. The RPM of this unit is 2700, which is quicker than average. Although this model is considered spacer saving, it is 14-3/8" in height, and 7-1/2" wide. Installation took me about an hour. If your looking for a superb operating disposal, I highly recommend model GX75C.

This MOEN GX Series 3/4 HP Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal is extremely quiet the Sound shield designed makes a difference. The unit was very easy to install and is adaptable to most sinks. The unit comes with the electric cord when other don't. The 3/4 hp has what it takes to handle most waste and is very fast due to the higher RPM's and Vortex action of the motor . Great product as always MOEN
