It’s like a cold spit
This shower-head, while beautiful, was installed in our house while we lived there and we hated it. I have long medium thick hair and it made my showers take a very long time. The mist was cold and not worth the savings because the shower time had to get longer to wash off all of the soap. It made for an un-enjoyable shower everyday. We figure it was just our preference though. Not everyone would hate it right?? No, the family that moved in and rented our house from us hated it as well. Enough to tamper with it and remove a restrictor in it. We tested it before our next tenant and the flow was improved and I thought of good maybe it won’t be so miserable for him…. He has thick braided hair and like me complained the showers had to get really long for him and it was affecting his morning timelines. We will be attempting to replace it but with the valve in the wall I don’t know what to replace it with. I will be calling Moen on Monday to see what my options are. Three family units have used this Moen Nebia and all have said that the experience is not worth the savings considering $ and environment. There has to be another eco friendly option - this is NOT it.

Hello RoseCityRealEstate and thank you for the feedback you posted on the Home Depot website. We are sorry to hear that the Nebia by Moen Spa Shower 1-Spray 8 in. Dual Tub Wall Mount Fixed and Handheld Shower Head with Magnetic Remote Dock in Matte Black did not meet your expectations. Nebia by Moen offers a superior shower experience through atomization, the process of breaking down water drops into precise patterns of tiny droplets. While the atomized drops of water are small in size, they work harder to get you clean, helping to effectively rinse shampoo out of even the thickest of hair. For the best full coverage experience, use the Nebia by Moen handshower like a body spray and install it at hip or torso height, 8” to the left or right of the bracket. Our product specialists are available for pre-purchase, installation and warranty assistance. They can be reached at 1-800-289-6636 and are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Eastern Time. Moen

What the don't tell you about their fancy tech
I bought this from the kickstarter campaign and got it over the summer, about 5 months ago, and honestly I want to go back to my old shower head that came with my house. Here is what they don't tell you about their water saving technology: - because it sprays a fine mist at you it scalds your head, is nicely warm on your chest, and is lukewarm by the time it hits your stomach. I live in a cold climate and this showerhead makes showering cold and uncomfortable. If I turn the water hotter it scalds my head. - because it sprays a fine mist at high pressure it makes a wind tornado in a shower with a curtain. Again, super cold and then you have the wet shower curtain all over you. - the shower head is big. I have a decent size shower and I think it sticks out too far into the middle of the shower. - the handheld part is awful. It feels like 2 jets of water on you and is uncomfortable and again, the mist of water gets cold by the time it reaches you. SMALLER DROPLETS COOL FASTER. - all the mist is making it hard to keep my bathroom clean, the fan can't get rid of all of it and I have way more water on my ceiling and walls in the bathroom that I did with a conventional shower head - the showerhead will not stay all the way up anymore, it slides back down to rest a few inches from the top. - it is very lightweight plastic. For the price I'd expect something more substantial. Overall wish I hadn't bought it. I think I should stop buying things on kickstarter. It makes showering really uncomfortable. I think it could work if you have a nice steam shower. If you don't, buy a different shower head.

      Different but really liking it
At first I thought this was going to be a bust because of the light-ish water pressure but after using it a couple of time, the concept is quite spectacular. It is more of a strong mist than a typical shower is how I would describe it. My shower is very large and it pretty much covers the whole area except the seat area which is what I intended. If you're looking for the typical shower head this is not for you because it is different, but a good different, in my opinion. It's attractive and stylish as well.

Great product, new and different shower experience. Once you get used to it, it’s LIFE CHANGING!
Ok, so I’ve tested a lot of shower heads over the years. You could say that I am a bit of a shower head nut. I’ve seen the other Nebia versions advertised for the past few years and I was intrigued. Now, having finally tried it myself here are my thoughts. Experience: 10/10!! You need to get used to it. It’s definitely different. Not everyone in my house loved it right away. But after two or three showers they are all FANATICS. The spray is much more dispersed, but somehow still feels very powerful. The good part about that is that your whole body gets covered in water. More than enough to rinse you down. But you must have a shower that does not have big openings. Install: 9/10 They advertise it as easy to install. And for the most part I agree. Follow the instructions and you’ll be fine. It took us about 20 minutes. Much of that was uninstalling the existing showerhead which was on pretty tight. Love that we didn’t have to use a drill bit. The adhesives are pretty neat too. Packaging: 6/10 It’s ok. Great that all the parts you might need are there, including the 4 different brass nipples (this is a big plus). But there is too much plastic. Especially for a product that is about being good for the planet. Quality/durability: 9/10 Materials feel solid. The main bracket is clearly a sturdy metal and the showerhead is plastic but it feels good. The slider function works just as it seems in the pictures and videos, and the little magnetic puck thing for the hand shower is also a nifty feature. Main takeaway. If you are looking for a new shower experience, this is the coolest product I’ve seen yet. One piece of feedback for the manufacturers I would have liked for the hand shower to work on its own, without the head on. Otherwise it works as described. Just make sure that your shower doesn’t have a big opening on one side, or the water vapor won’t work as well.

          Home spa
Bought this a few weeks ago- easy install but the removal of the original piping was a little rough- minor complaint is the adjustment to the water as it feels cold - as mentioned you need to turn the water up- overall good product - didn’t get the tape as shown in videos

            Loving the new shower experience
We bought this as an anniversary present to ourselves. Love the experience. Totally different from any other shower head we have had. Only wish that you could, at some point, turn off he shower head while using the handheld only. Install was not too bad. Wish the chrome model was all chrome.

Remarkable shower head for saving water! Moen’s Nebia came fully packed for a new or retrofit install that replaces your typical shower heads. The main selling point of Nebia is it’s water saving feature via the misting / atomizing effect of the shower head spray tips. Nebia came with FOUR brass fittings of various lengths to accommodate different length sizes that folks may need depending on their existing setup. I liked that; no need to run to the hardware store to pick up a different size fitting! Even comes with a depth gauge key to help installation. Installation instructions are pretty straightforward; I’ve installed a few shower heads in the past and just looking at the various components, this is a well-thought out design. One thing that I definitely want to comment on is the maintenance/cleaning of the filter. Nebia has a section in the manual about regularly cleaning the debris filter that’s part of the design. Page 11 of the install manual explains in pictures how you clean the filter; press the button at the top to disengage Nebia from the wall fitting. Remove the stainless steel filter screen and clean it of debris (soak in vinegar if needed due to scale buildup if you have hard water). I think folks who have low pressure may find this filter is clogged due to regular use and/or debris in the water line that has reduced the water flow. Do this step to clean out the filter to increase water flow. I especially love the magnetic half-globe puck that mounts on your wall to hold up the handheld wand! Nifty! Overall, Nebia is an amazing product for anyone looking for that steam-shower / misting spray action in a shower head. Saving water is only a wonderful bonus! Highly recommended!

This is review is based on the item i received not install. It is a beautiful shower head and system as a whole. It has some great features and is excellent for those that want the duel power of the shower head but have the hand held when needed. It has a chrome finish that is easy to clean. The installation takes a bit more time and patience and you will need to install into tiles to make is flush on wall.

              Easy to install Spa experience
I did the Kickstarter for the Nebia by Moen. Delivered on schedule easy to install just as promised. I do encourage everyone to get the hand sprayer as well. These types of showers dissipate heat the farther it gets from the head, so having the hand sprayer at body level or able to direct heat is a good solution.

Love the handy and very functional design of the shower head and wand. We have installed quite a few of the modern shower heads and this by far is the best design and easiest, cleanest installation. No extra holes to drill through the tile, no special parts to buy just a very positive installation experience. The design team worked extra hard to make this so functional and yet easy to use shower head set. It really adds a touch of high end fixtures to the shower. Only issue is the other bathrooms are now jealous!!!

The product was easy to install I like the concept of the product but there is definitely not enough water pressure and when you have long hair and you don’t get enough water pressure your hair is tangled the minute you get out of the shower I do like the water saving concept but ultimately a hot shower with a lot of pressure is more important in a cold state like Michigan , And the other thing I did not like is without it having a lot of pressure you have to have the showerhead slid down about an inch away from your body to feel the hot water the only way to get it hot enough is to turn up my hot water heater which is counterproductive I probably will disassemble the product this weekend and return for something different, kind of a bummer because I was really hoping the shower was going to be amazing

                - Probably not for plumbing in series - Plastic handheld and halo, handheld mount, proprietary connection & hose + sturdy metal I-beam I was going to drill into my tile for a bodyspray, and thought I'd give this a try, to be used in series with a 20"sq raincan on a 30" arm, under city pressure so great it blows through any brand and design of in-line diverter. I'm pretty sure something or things interfered with the Nebula's intended atomization effect; it could be my unusual pressure not wanting anything to do with reduced flow rates, but I just got pellets of water with not much vertical reach, with and without the raincan active. In contrast, a gym-style punishing 1" spray head at flat-vertical on the same connection shoots the entire 60" length; I'm now using a 2.5gpm cylinder+end-spray and I'm getting full exploitation without the raincan, and nearly that with. This fixture is not advertised for series use; I wish I could comment on the atomization effect but I don't think my system would allow this as even a sole fixture. I suspect the magnetic handheld mount and I-beam need light end-units so they won't shear, the force magnets don't like to deal with, but I know I'd break at least the handheld the second I dropped it, and I would drop it. I'm in love with my chromed brass chinese cylindar, but its connection is plastic -- as is the original $300 design, so this won't last forever either.

Nebia by Moen is a spa shower that comes with a unique water delivery system. What you get with this shower is a mister by breaking up water into tiny droplets. You get a rainshower and a handshower. I received this during the current pandemic crisis. I have not been able to get a plumber to assist me in installing. I do not trust myself and am afraid I will end up without a system if I mess it up. Here are some notes of concern. From what I have read the temperature of the water coming out is much lower than normal which means a colder shower. Pretty sure I will not like that. However the design is unique and beautiful.

We had high hopes for this Moen system. This replaced a dual setup with multi settings on both heads. This Moen only has the mist option on both the fixed head and handle. Installation was fairly simple with removal of the old shower arm being the most difficult. Just follow the instructions and you'll have no issues. Once installed, my wife tried out the system first. She usually enjoys a warm shower so when she came out with an unhappy face, I knew I was in trouble. She complained that the temps coming out of the head vs the handle felt different. What we figured was that the spray coming out of the head cools down pretty quick so it felt cold. The handle spray runs hotter because you control how far or close the handle gets to your body. If you turn down the temp because you're cleaning specific parts of your body, the head on top gets colder and you find yourself not in a comfortable situation. Nice effort by Moen but if you like warm showers, I would probably stay away from this one.

Super Easy Install. Super Easy Uninstall. Disappointing spa experience! Simply not enough water, showering or rinsing barely possible regardless of shower head and hand held combination- insufficient mist. Water supply provided; abundant volume and 92 PSI municipal, much more than necessary and still nebia offered dismal output. We didn’t feel nebia warranted leaving installed in any of our three showers. Too much steamy vapor and insufficient mist. Nebia by Moen is a unique design and performs as stated, atomized water but not blissful at all. Easy to follow instructions. Plastic feel to all components likely will last as no corrosion issues. Very well packaged. Not at all an 'exceptionally effective shower' but certainly conserves water.

Product lives up to its reputation. It delivers really good water coverage with the modest water flow and the installation really does require very limited DIY skill. The unit looks very sharp and modern. The water delivery differs from many contemporary units. It doesn't have massage settings or other high volume flows. It is almost mist like, yet delivers plenty of water all over. The shower head is wide with several nozzles and the body sprayer has two nozzles, that deliver water in a very similar mist-like way. The hand-held sprayer is usually magnetically held on a semi-spherical ball that holds it pretty well in place, The hose for the hand-held can alter its position, so we have to adjust it periodically. The way the water is delivered does produce a pretty soothing experience, but don't expect a pulsing massage like flow. Installation is really easy. Assembling the few tools required took longer than the install. Our old shower neck had been on for 20 years, so that took a pipe wrench to remove. After that, Teflon tape, a tape measure to position the body sprayer and a level to ensure the shower head was plumb, was all that was needed. Our install required the use of the supplied spacers to offset the small ledge on top of the shower surround. It is absolutely imperative to get the right number and sizes of spacers to make sure the shower head holder fits tight to the surround. We needed to use both the large and the small spacer in our install. Getting the unit to "click" into the collar took a bit of playing around with the collar's position, but using the direction's guidance to turn the collar a bit if the shower head does not "click" in worked perfectly. The unit can be taken down for maintenance and/or cleaning with a small button on top (see picture), but the adhesive holding the unit to the surround will need to be replaced. We are really pleased with the unit and definitely recommend it.

Regina something different. Once opening the box I was kind of nervous that I was about to get myself into an annoying project. This was very painless and easy to install. Shouldn’t take any longer than 20 minutes. There are quick connect hoses for the shower head and the handheld unit. I didn’t screw anything into my tile. I used the 3M tape cause I didn’t want to mess up my tile. I would warn you to be careful when you are using the tool to screw the Adapter into the wall. I didn’t have it flush and I striped it and made it difficult to screw on the shower head adapter. The shower head and unit are made of plastic. I would have liked to see something a little sturdier but it’s lightweight so I’m sure that why they did it. You definitely get good water pressure and water coverage. Very nice that it is al adjustable.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to update the look and functionality of their bathroom and give it a more modern look and feel. This product will go with almost any decor that one has and it comes in a variety of colors to better match your decor. the shower head tilts and has a separate hand held sprayer to get the areas needed. Pretty easy install but if have any doubts i recommend having a professional install as it is kinda hard to install. Nice lifetime warranty by a company that is known for standing by their products.

This review is for the Nebia by Moen 1-Spray 8 in. Dual Shower Head and Handheld Shower Head with Magnetic Remote Dock in Chrome and White This shows head system is a marvel of engineering. For those who don't know this design was a partnership on Kickstarter with Moen to test interest in an atomizer shower. Well as you can see there was a lot of interest, and that the offering went full production at Moen. The shower is beautiful to look at as you can see from the pictures, and it even saves water. The really strange part is that it feel like there is much more water than before. I mean a lot more. It feels like you are under a somewhat soft waterfall. Water and steam surrounds you. It is a really nice experience that I was not expecting from a shower. If you are a hit me with a fire hose in one spot, spin around and out of the shower person, this is not for you. If you like a more relaxing feeling of hot water and steam all over you, then this is the one. People pay tens of thousands to build steam showers. Now I know what I have been missing. Amazing shower experience

Looks Amazing and Great at Water Saving - Temperature Loss is a Deal Breaker for us...Moen suggest increasing water heater temperature to scalding heights as an attempt to compensate which takes more energy and is harder on the water heater. Extremely easy to install shower bar encompassing both an adjustable height showerhead and shower wand. Instructions provided pretty much walks you through the whole install process. You will keep the old “in wall” valving hence mingling of parts are kept to a minimum. After using this Nebia I ended up going back to my old showerhead as I neither liked the “mist like” spray but more importantly the amount of humidity in the bathroom after each use. Exacerbating matters was the fact after each shower I had no choice but to leave the bathroom exhaust fan running twice the duration just to void the bathroom of damaging humidity and moisture laden air. Either this or risk having mold and mildew issues down the road along with possibly ceiling paint blistered off the wall from the huge amounts of moisture left after each shower. Others may like this type of atomized water for showering but for me, I’d sacrifice a tad more water just for the sake of a hotter and more forceful shower spray.

Cold and weak. Installation is not difficult, but you will need plumber's tape and I think for the price Moen should have included a small spool, as I have seen with much less expensive units. The main assembly and the handheld dock use adhesive and you will need to push hard on the center of the dock to get it to stick. There are no instructions on the Moen site for removal - the main unit has a push button on the top to detach from the bracket, but you will then need to remove the adhesive on your own, and Moen does not sell replacements. I found the spray from the Nebia to be weak and cold - I had to turn the temperature up five degrees to be comfortable. The handheld wand spray is weak, and neither it nor the main spray felt adequate for rinsing off. The only control is on-off for the handheld wand - the main rainshower is always on. I found that water tended to spray everywhere, wasting water on the shower walls. I do not recommend this product.

Hello JCF2000 and thank you for your opinion and feedback you posted on the Home Depot website for the Moen Nebia by Moen 1-Spray 8 in. Dual Shower Head and Handheld Shower Head with Magnetic Remote Dock in Chrome and White. We do recommend the water heater to be set to at least 115 degrees and we do have replacement adhesive disks available. The Moen Nebia does replace your existing shower head, this is why there is not a shut off for the shower head. Should you require warranty assistance for this or any other Moen product you purchased, please call us at 1-800-289-6636. Please feel free to call us at 800-289-6636. Our business hours are 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday. We would be happy to help you and show you we stand by our products. Moen

I bought this to match the one we have in another shower, also a Moen and almost the same design and color that was installed about 5 years ago. We are going to renovate our master bathroom and opted for this hand shower because it looks like all metal and sturdy! The bar is the only metal part. Everything else including the wall brackets are plastic. I just hope it lasts just like the other one once we get it installed. Update to follow....

The Moen Nebia showered and handheld sprayer have excellent engineering and astetics making it an impressive unit, but the actual execution of the spray pattern leaves a lot to be desired. While the backstory of Nebia and the support of Tim Cook can be very convincing the actual execution of everyday showers in the average home is poor. The biggest negative of the showered is the temperature difference between your shoulders and feet. Your upper half may be warm and comfortable but your legs and feet will be COLD, especially in colder climates like Minnesota. This design may work well in warm climates where you jump in the shower to cool off, but it didn't work for me. I give Moen crediting for being able to design a showered that delivers a low 1.35 GPM and making a very simple installation. The installation can be completed by an inexperienced DIY'er in roughly 30 minutes with minimal tools.

I was super excited to try my new Moen Nebia shower system. For comparison, this system replaces a basic fixed shower head with handheld sprayer. First impression: Wow, this is a really nice box. I opened the box and the pieces were laid out very nicely. Big plus! Quality: The main shower ring is made of plastic and it feels light weight. Not what I was expecting, but okay, as long as it does what it's suppose to. The hoses are also made of plastic and they look nice, but they don't move smoothly like the stainless steel hose on our old unit. The base does have a very nice feel - modern style in white with chrome accents. Very nice! Installation: Removal of the old unit was simple. I've installed lots of shower heads, so there was no drama in the removal. Then I followed the instructions, step by step. First, use the tool to determine which parts to use. Super easy and they provide multiple nipples and spacers - Wow! I installed the nipple and lo and behold, the measuring tool is used to tighten the nipple (has a groove in the nipple). Fantastic! Clean the tile with rubbing alcohol - check! Make sure the main unit has all parts attached and the backing tape is removed - then place the unit over the pipe nipple and push! Then make sure the unit is plumb and push in place - hold for a minute to make sure the adhesive makes a good bond. Then run the hose through the pipe at the top - My hose got stuck a few times - there's a restriction in the pipe - after a few tries, I got it through. Click the head into the tube - I wasn't thrilled with the connection - it feels like there will be problems in the future as the connection is slightly loose. Plug the hose into the lower receptacle - I put some silicone grease on the o-rings to make sure they sealed and that they didn't tear on the installation. Next, install the bracket for the mounting ball. There is no up and down, so I cleaned the tile, removed the adhesive backing and pushed it in place. Hold for a minute and it's ready for the mounting ball. They say to wait until the adhesive sets, but I've worked with this material and I felt confident I wouldn't disturb it. I placed the ball on the base and with a slight twist - connected. Then I installed the handheld hose (again I put silicone grease over the o-rings). I didn't attach the handheld to the ball - I figure I should wait 24 hours, before disturbing the adhesive. 12 hours later, I tried the shower. I normally turn the hot water on, then when it gets hot, I turn the cold on to adjust to my liking. Then I turn the shower head away from me and I move the diverter to the shower head. It doesn't work well with this shower head for a couple reasons. 1. The spray pattern is wide, so water gets outside of the tub. 2. My normal temperature is too cool for this shower head. Must be the small droplets. I then adjusted the temperature up until I reached a comfortable temperature. I stood under the shower head and it's nice, but it's not relaxing like a rain can shower head. It's also not invigorating like a massage type shower head. It is different and I've never used a shower head like this before. I then turned on the handheld - there's no way to turn the shower head off and use the handheld alone. I guess that's okay ... I typically use the handheld in the massage mode - great for sore muscles and joints. This unit doesn't have a massage mode. It only has one mode, the Nebia atomizer mode. I'm a little disappointed at this point, but my shower continues and I use the handheld as a body sprayer. It's okay, but there's only two places the water comes out, so it's not a full body spray - I have one at my other house and it's fantastic! I noticed something very interesting. I used the normal amount of shampoo and I got too much lather. I also used the same amount of body gel and again I got too much lather. So the fine droplets help reduce soap and shampoo use - that's a good thing. I did notice that the pressure of the spray is a big harder than my old unit. Time will tell if I get used to it. A couple things I like: 1. The head swivels up and down about 45 degrees or so. I can spray the water on my back vs letting it spray on top of my head. It helps loosen tightness in my shoulders. 2. The handheld can be angled so water sprays on different areas of my body. Other observations: 1. The handheld will fall off the ball if pushed a little too far one way or another. 2. The sliding part doesn't stay up all the time. On my unit, it winds up falling a little unless I hold it in place for a while. 3. There are only six spray jets on the main shower head. Wow, that's a lot of water for only six jets. 4. The handheld has only two jets and it puts out quite a bit of water. 5. There's a lot of steam in the bathroom. The mirror is all fogged up. Solution is to open the window - we don't have a vent fan. 6. There's so much condensation that water is dripping down the walls. 7. I have this little trick, where I leave the diverter halfway so the water drains from the shower head. Then I turn the diverter to the tub spout, so the next time I get in the shower, I use the tub to test the temperature, then I turn the diverter on and since there's little water in the shower system, I get warm water. This unit doesn't work that way, since the water is stuck in the hoses. How do I like my new shower. I love the look - very modern and great style. I like the water saving aspect a lot. Add to that the soap/shampoo saving and I'm getting to like my new shower system. I haven't been on a hike or some sort of workout yet, so I don't know how I'll feel about no massage mode. And the condensation ... I'm not too sure about it. At my other house, I have a really nice all in one shower panel. Rain can shower head, body spray, hand held (only one spray pattern) and a small spout for washing feet. It looks very upscale, works great and makes taking a shower feel like heaven. But it's also about 2X more expensive and the installation was a bear. If you're looking for a nice upgrade to a traditional shower, this is a very nice unit. The easy installation is the icing on the cake. Super easy and phenomenal looks. And I think I'll get used to the atomization - super tiny droplets!
