The door makes a very loud and unpleasant klanging sound that reverberates every time you open and close it. When a cooking cycle ends and it starts to beep, it doesn't stop even after you open the door. It keeps beeping five times even if you open the door after one beep. That's just ridiculous, as well as extremely irritating. There's no way to mute the sound that I know of. This is HD's house brand. Surely it can do better.

I bought this because it was the right size and power. But if I had seen one out of the box before purchasing it I never would have bought it. For one thing, as someone else has mentioned, the settings are impossible to see and you need a flashlight to know what you're doing. And when you open and close the door, it makes a loud clanging sound that reverberates, making it sound and feel really cheap, like a toy. This is your house brand, Home Depot. Surely you can do better.

Sleek and powerful, but not well lighted. Dark cooking chamber and touch pad controls hard to see because they don’t light up. Works fine provided I wear my headlamp all the time.

Power less than I expected, otherwise, it works well.

Even with all the kitchen lights on we are unable to see the numbers on the display panel. I'm going to try some illuminated number stickers to see if this helps. The microwave works fine otherwise but the dark panel is a huge bummer.

Box was torn and open a little upon delivery.

This was to replace my last five year old Magic Chef microwave, which is the same model. It works just fine, features are fine. My only complaint on this one Is the same thing that others have stated, in that the keypad print on the front display, which is so faint you can barely read it without shining bright lights on it. The keypad on my last microwave was not great, however, was functional. But this one is really not acceptable. If you have really bright lights in your kitchen, you might be OK with this. Also, the light inside the very dark oven is so dim that it’s hard to see inside. I really don’t understand why they made these changes for the worse because the first model was fine in this regard.Otherwise it’s great.

Perfect size for my space

This was the only microwave in the size that fit in the space. I had a previous similar model for 4 years and it worked fine until the door switch broke. It's a good example of a cheap part that could have lasted longer if a slightly higher quality would have been used. Now the whole machine is unusable and has to be discarded. Environmentally totally irresponsible! This newer model is noisier and the panel is more difficult to read. Other than that it works fine.

Online purchase was easy, fast, and brought it out to the vehicle and loaded it. Super efficient.

Bought this model about 2 years ago. Worked fine, used it several times every day. Recently it stopped working. I’m sure a handier person could have replaced a fuse or made some other simple repair and all would have been ok. But it only cost about $75 so I bought the exact same model again. I’m hoping this one lasts for more than 2 years
