I loved these reading glasses. I think I’ve gone through at least five pairs. Why? Because they all fell apart. The tiny screws come loose, some within a week of wearing. I’ve saved parts of broken ones to try to revive a pair.

Durable, inexpensive and functional, Magnifeye are my go to glasses when doing DIY projects. Very good optics and easy arm open-close for such inexpensive glasses. Just purchased three more today. Wanted more but others had bent nose pad supports. Not a big deal, bend them often and readjust, just can't justify purchasing damaged items. For the cost, these are well worth having handy, leaving where frequently working. They seem very scratch resist, cleaning with shirt tail or paper towels doesn't seem to bother these lightweight flexible narrow magnifying glasses. Nose pads have performed flawless. Rubber sleeve on arms offers grip enough to keep in place when bending and leaning. Two of the many, easily over a dozen pair, have failed. Nut fell off a screw, easily fixed by swapping parts from very worn, old less magnifying glasses. Actually am wearing a pair doing this review as they were handy, dangling from fly fishing line fashioned into a holder. Inexpensive, great optical clarity and rugged enough. Lightweight and yes, not perfect, reflection issues, but they perform well for the variety of work and abuse. Every pair has exceeded my expectations. They're less than five bucks!!! Highly satisfied and recommend these glasses.

Not durable... Within the first few days of use, the bolts loosened, allowing the arm to detach and the glasses to fall from my face and on to the floor, breaking the bridge. Lens scratched easily in shirt, breast pocket of scrubs... nothing else in the pocket, but the lenses got so may tiny scratches it made it difficult to see clearly through them.

Not durable at all... literally fell apart. By the third day of use, the screw holding the right arm had loosened, allowing the arm to break free, resulting in the glasses falling off the face and onto hospital floor, breaking the nose bridge. Found that the bolts easily loosen and fall off when wiping lenses with eyewear cleaning cloth. The over-the-ear grips are ribbed on one side, but sometimes get twisted and can come off. Lens are not “scratch resistant.” Carried them in hospital scrubs breast pocket (with nothing else) for easy access and found no resistance to even tiny scratches. Have never had a pair of readers of such poor quality... not even among widely available sets of 4 or 5 pairs for under $12.

I have a lot of reading glasses. One set in every room in the house. In the garage and my outdoor workshop. I got these to keep in my backpack that I use whenever out of town on a bus driving job. Every part of these (except the lenses) is flexible, making it difficult, if not impossible, to damage it. Nevertheless I keep it in a hard case (not included) to protect it. The four connections of teh frame to the lenses is quite unique. It features a tiny carriage bolt and nut, instead of teh more typical screw into threaded part. So you will need a tiny wrench or pliers of some sort to tighten, in addition to the tiny screwdriver required to tighten the temple swivel pivot.

First to explain - these are NOT to be mistaken as reading glasses! These glasses are designed to enhance your vision so that you can see see an object you are working on that requires a closer field of vision. The glasses are well made of heavy metal that will prevent warping. The stems have rubber guards around them and the stems are curved to ensure the glasses hug to your head while bending over. The glasses really helped in magnifying, electrical type work. 3X does not sound a lot but if the item/field your looking at is 1/4 inch big, thru the glasses it will look 3/4 of an inch big. The lenses are made of scratch resistant polycarbonant plastic.

I am very impressed with these sport gray 3.0 magnification reading glasses. The frame's temples, hinges, nose pads, pad arms, and bridge parts appear to be well made and should last a long time. The temple arms are flexible which I found to be a real plus in allowing the glasses to fit comfortably along the sides of my head. The lens also appear to be well made and should survive a fall if I should accidently dropped them. See attached photographs.

Pleasantly surprised at optical quality and durability. Have since purchased three more with greater magnification. Each has been very good. Even held up well after being unprotected in pockets. Flexible arms with sticky outer sleeve near ears keep glasses in place well while working- the best feature! Very reasonable cost for good quality optics and durable frames. Recommend highly.

These Sport Gray 1.5 Magnification Reading Glasses by Magnifeye are exactly as described in appearance, functionality, purpose, and quality. The frames are flexible soft plastic making them light and comfortable. I keep varying degree of readers in the house for one reason or another and the 1.5X magnification seems to be spot on. I would recommend it to a friend.

Functional 2.00 readers. Frameless, flexible, but bulky hardware The MagnifEye 2.00 Reading glasses are perfectly fine readers, but with some features and flaws. They're a "frameless" design, meaning the lenses support the nose- and earpieces. So the lenses are pretty thick. And the screws that hold the bridge and earpieces to the lenses are also large, and their clear plastic covers make them seem even larger. (see pics) All together it makes for a slightly bulky look, though this doesn't interfere with their functionality. The earpieces are very flexible. This should help if you're hard on your glasses, as it seems they'll take a lot of abuse. However if you tend to use one hand to put your glasses on it can be tricky, as the side you're not holding tends to flex out of the way, instead of sliding over your ear. Two-handed is no problem.

I was really looking forward to using these glasses as the style and design were great, but when I put these on, I immediately noticed how "reflective" these glasses were. You are distracted by the reflection of any change of lighting on a computer or TV and you can see the plastic pieces at the hinge next to the lenses so it makes it difficult to concentrate on what you're looking at. I do like the flexibility of the "temples" which allow for a comfortable fit on different widths of head and the rubberized area that fits over the ears is also very comfortable. The purpose of reading glasses, however, is that you can see and focus better and these glasses do not allow that very well. I think they would be great if they just re-designed the end-pieces next to the lenses.

These Sport Gray Reading Glasses 1.5 magnification are very nice and extremely lightweight. Although in the photo, the color looks bluish, it is actually a beautiful gray, which is more versatile than blue anyway. They have an expensive, stylish, trendy look and the lenses are just perfect! Now, the arms (ear pieces) are another thing. I took the clear sleeves off so they would slide easier through my hair, but then, the arms seemed flimsy and I worry that they may not be durable. So that's the only reason I cannot give 5 stars.

Home Depot has hit on a great vendor for reading glasses. This is the second pair that I have got from them and I am very pleased with both pairs. These glasses are lightweight and strong. You barely know they are on. I had to get a second pair because my wife absconded with the first pair that I bought. Also, they are very reasonably priced. Both pairs are made with a kind of rubbery material that sounds a bit strange as I write this but they are very comfortable because of this material. They are stiff but flexible and soft. They easily bend when putting them on, but they stay put and yet they don't feel like your wearing vise-grips on your head. They are good looking and comfortable and cheap.

These lightweight, comfortable fit glasses were just what I needed for these tired old eyes. very comfortable, smart looking, combined with a sturdy frame. One drawback: The small screws that hold the frame together, (see photo) go too far thru the frame. The ends of these screws are covered with a rubber protection piece that slightly infringes/interferes with my vision, as these rubber "caps' are visible from inside out! Other then this-no complaints, but a bit of redesign would have earned this one 5 stars

These readers are great! They are just what I need to magnify the computer screen and make the pages easier to read. I love the frameless look and I always have a difficult time finding this feature in reading glasses. These glasses look good, feel comfortable, have good quality lenses, are unisex, and have nice flexibility. The movable silicone nosepads are perfect for comfort and the rubbery sleeves on the earpieces help to keep them from sliding (they can easily be removed). The frame color is gray, but it has transparency and is not too dark. The lenses are on the thick side, about 1/8" wide, but that makes them more durable.

I have only had these reading glasses for a short time but they are becoming a favorite already. The magnification seems accurate and the construction is well executed. I especially appreciate the flexible soft plastic that the bridge and temples are made of. This makes the frames light, comfortable and less likely to break than rigid, hard plastic. The temple tips have a rubberized sheath with soft ridges that aid in comfort and keeping the glasses in place. There are no eyewires which make the appearance sleek and unobtrusive and the lenses are scratch resistant. I find it convenient to have a few pairs of reading glasses around the house and at work and I will certainly be purchasing more of these.

          Tough
I too found at first that the screws came out quickly so as soon as I got a new pair I would 1 drop of super or gorilla glue on each screw. I have dropped these glasses, found them at the bottom of my purse and drop kicked them across the room and they survived. For the price you can't beat them. I have been using these glasses over 3 years and only buy new ones because I have lost the other pairs. Even though you have to go through the 30 second measure of putting glue on each screw I still give them 5 starts due to durability and price.
