Built my first formica counter tops, trimmer works great easy to control. Wish it came with a case, since the counter I used it to mortise hinges in a door and also round over a window sill. Much easier than using a big router. I'm sure I'll find more uses for it. Rebuilding entire house that was flooded by Sandy.

I’m a guitar maker of 35 year and still have Makita tools from when I first started out. I was pleased that this trim router was every bit the quality of my older Makita tools. The clear base really makes it easy to see when doing inlay work. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of some others, variable speed, LED lights, but it doesn’t need them, it gets the job done. Smooth cuts, easy to adjust, easy on the hands and when used for long periods of time it does not get hot. The Makita may cost a little more than some other trim routers, that look like it, but you get you pay for, my Makita’s have always given me years and years of trouble free performance and dependable results.

Works perfectly right out of the box

It arrived fast, I have not had a chance to even open the box yet. But I am pretty sure it would be as expected.

This thing absolutely sucks. Collar cracked on first use right out of box. RUINED an expensive job I was doing for customer and I HAD TO EAT IT. Makita used to be the bar but no longer cheap crap All Plastic.

It’s weight and size makes it very handleable. The accessories, That don't come with other brands, make it a plus to have.

had the Ol' Porter Cable router for many years and still works today, but the set screws were a pain to change out bits. This Makita to me is excellent, used it first to mortise some door hinges.

Light weight and small diameter on handle. Good tools for family use. Simple operation.
