While this is a good buy. In my application I had to work with the spring a lot and in 50% had to rig up an alternative method to keep the cover in place. May be they could offer an alternative that uses more of a hook and screw approach.

The covers themselves are fine but they weren't that simple to attach because the springs that attach the cover to the vents are not versatile in terms of attaching to different types of vent screens. The spring attachments would not attach to any of my vents without modifying the attachment hook on the spring to make it smaller by bending it with pliers so it would fit into the vent screen. The spring wire broke when being bent in several cases and required additional modification. Also, the springs themselves require far more force to depress than necessary and result in the cover being unnecessarily deformed by the spring force when attached to a vent.

cover difficult to get on. Size.is small the standard flood opening size so there is a lot of space to correct for.

Works well for application

It was a breeze to install and covers the entire foundation vent.

These are simple functional at a good price. The only reason that I gave it four stars and five is because they need to come out with a black or a maroon some thing that will be a better match against a brick house. This Shiny silver is a little bit weird looking on a brick house. Not a huge deal though I still love them.

Pretty easy to install but would be much more useful if it had a layer of insulation on inside.

Combined this vent cover with some Styrofoam blocks behind the aluminum cover. That duo reduced the heat loss from the crawl space. The vent covers were easy to install.

Perfect for vents in conventional foundation if older home. So happy Home Depot still has them. No others I could find offer them any more.

Very easy to install, clear directions and solid material

Worked great, easy trim-to-fit, easy to install.

I bought 4 to cover my crawl vents. All these do is cover the vent. They do not seal to much effect. I found adding a strip of foam insulation around the inside perimeter helps some.

The vent covers are a standard size so installation is a snap - or rather a twist of the center spring to lock them in place. They look smart in natural aluminum. That said, I may paint them black to avoid them standing out so much.
