Customer Reviews for Master Flow Replacement Power Vent Motor for PR3, and PG3 Series Vents

The motor was for a gable fan in the attic, so I had to change the motor with the fan housing still attached to the wall. Watched a very helpful YouTube instructional video first. Once I assembed my tools & flashlight, turned off the power to the fan and loosened the blade from the old motor, I was able to finish removal of the old motor, install the new, reattach the fan blade, clean up and power on in less than 1 hour. If I had to do it a second time, could probably finish in 30 minutes.

Straight forward replacement. It’s only been a month but it was an easy install and everything works.

I’ve replaced a Master Flow once before and it was a breeze to install. This time it came with a ring shim which made the job extremely more difficult. I would hope that master flow would go back to the older design of replacement motor.

Perfect replacement. Works great! Wired it right up.

I needed to use the shim to prevent the motor from slipping out. After struggling for hours in the hot attic, I cut the shim into 4 pieces. I duct taped 3 of them around the motor and was able to get it roughly in the right place. Then I used a vice grip to cinch one of the brackets to hold the motor loosely so it wouldn’t fall out. I tighten the other two bolts making sure the motor stayed in the right position. Then removed the vice grip and tighten that bolt. Hope this helps someone.

The spacer ring suppied was not made correctly making the installation difficult, otherwise the motor is running good

This motor is much quieter and pulls less Amps than the original motor!

Works good, install easy, now if it can hold up to the 15 years+ I got out of my last fan, which was for an AC unit fan.

Very difficult to install using the shim. Eventually had to cut it into smaller sections. Motor was received without any product info and the wires were frayed.

Upper shaft has no way to get lub, no wonder they fail in a year

Can't find these in a store, anywhere. It's the only one that fits my 8 year old fan.
