The 12 inch 5 TPI AX Carbide Teeth Demo Nail Embedded wood Cutting Sawzall Reciprocating Saw Blade 3 pack works great in my Hatachi reciprocating saw and the Ryobi battery powered reciprocating saw... It does a great job when cutting the embedded nails when breaking down pallets for reclaim lumber I use for various projects around the house. So far I have used the same blade for breaking down 10 pallets without having to replace the blade.

I used these blades in my corded reciprocating saw. Their performance was so much better than the average blade. I cannot attest to the battery life, however, the Nail Guard does allow the blade to rip through nails without ruining the teeth. I did a recent Demolition job to several walls in an old house which had those tough old nails and plenty of them. These blades speeded up the job and lasted much longer than my previous brand. I will continue to use these in the future. The Ax with Carbide Teeth is optimized for Cordless Reciprocating Saws delivering over 25% more cuts per charge.

Although these blades are a bit pricey, I believe they will pay off over the long haul. Their versatility with extreme metal cutting applications requires fewer blades to be in the tool box and they deliver and advertised 50 percent live over standard blades. The teeth contain 25% more carbide for longer life and the 7 teeth per inch allows for fast cutting through thick and difficult metals. I expect this pak of 5 blades to last me a long time compared to the standard blades.

I recently took on a major home repair job. It's involved considerable demo including mason nails, pipes and other metals. I also recently found these sawz all blades from Milwaukee and decided I had to try them. I've used sawz all's for probably 40 plus years and have used probably every available blade there is. This blade is second to none when it comes to cutting through metals of all types including cast iron. This is the first blade I've found that can go through cast and still want more. These are worth every penny.

Finally I've found a demo blade that really does demo. I got a pack of these and tried them on a major job that included having to cut rotted foundation sill boards that had been nailed on with mason nails. In the pictures I've attached, you can see that the blade has turned partially blue. This after cutting through 25 or 30 of those nails and the blade still cuts, the teeth are still sharp. I've been using various makes of sawz all's for many years and have tried numerous blades. These are by far the best demo and wood blades I've ever used.

These blades are excellent for nail embedded wood. I put them to the test taking apart a pallet. Normally I would use a fine tooth metal cutting blade to slice through the nails holding the slates on. I used this blade and it cut through the nails very quickly and much faster than my previous method. These blades are about 50% thicker than what I had on hand (see picture). All I can say about the teeth are that they are “wicked”. I took a picture comparing this blade to another blade I had. The blades are made in the USA. I highly recommend these blades.

These nice long (12 inch) blades have good cutting ability and saws through 2x4s easily. They have five teeth per inch. They look like small version of the blades tips on a circular saw blade. Of course the saw being used also governs how fast they cut. They have the standard mounting that fits my Ridgid reciprocating saw as well as my Milwaukee hackzall. These are best used in a larger saw that can power these through thick material. I did not try to cut through nails but they claim to handle nails when encountered too. These carbide teeth blades worked like a charm. I used this on an old pole used for a fence. This worked very well. The reciprocating saw that I used was several years old but this blade was able to get the job done. The blades has a good size weight to it which makes it sturdy and add to the oomph. I purchased several other Milwaukee blades last month that came with a red case, these blades were able to fit into the case just fine , along with the others, which is great. Now I do not have to worry about having them laying around, plus easier to transport

I have a house with old cast iron drain lines. Pretty much anytime I need to do plumbing work, I end up cutting a section of it out and replacing it with PVC. These saw blades are excellent for that purpose. I even use them with a pretty low end reciprocating saw and they still cut great. I am not sure how long the blades last, as I am still using the first one after probably a dozen cuts in 2-4 inch cast iron. It’s apparent they will last a long time. This 5 pack will probably last me 20 years.

Milwaukee 9 in. 7 TPI TORCH Carbide Teeth Metal Cutting SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw Blade (1-Pack) I tested this blade at a construction site but mainly used for cutting studs imbedded with nails. There were no issues this blade is thicker than the everyday sawzall or reciprocating blades. The blade showed no use except for a little paint loss and some of the teeth were polished. The next day I cut some 3/16-inch-thick angle iron. The blade cut fine and fast with no issues. It should be noted it left the metal on both sides of the cut smooth without and burrs. See photos. The blades are primarily designed cutting heavy metal, angle Iron, cast iron, and stainless-steel material. These blades are more expensive than typical metal cutting thin disc. I did not have the need to cut a lot of material, so I can’t comment on the longevity of the blade per cuts vs discs. The last photo shows just a little bit of teeth wear when laid next to a stainless ruler. Last observation when cutting with s disc blade there is a substantial amount of sparks. When cutting the 3/16 inch thick angle iron with a reciprocating blade there was only maybe 4 to 6 sparks during the cutting time. If there is a chance or fire danger, such a cutting metal fencing in fields this would be the go to blade of choice.

I got this for use in demoing a closet in my 1950's house. Not only was the wood nail embedded but the wood itself was rock hard from being so old. This blade did a great job. I had first started with a bimetal blade, but that didn't work well on the old wood, but it did cut the nails ok. This blade does it all... While researching what blade to get I read the reviews on the HD website and thought I'd shed some light on some of the comments and questions I found. 1. This blade is really designed for nail embedded wood. If you want speed and DON'T have nails and don't care about a rough cut, buy a 5 tooth per inch pruning blade...nothings quicker. Milwaukee Model# 48-00-1301 or Diablo's Model # DS0905FG5. 2. Will it work for trimming tree branches? Not really unless it's a dead tree, it cuts way too rough and the cuts are anything but smooth, especially at the end of the cut. 3. Can it cut through tree roots, yes...but I'd use a hose to get rid of as much dirt & sand as possible so you don't kill the blade. 4. Can it break and or shatter, yes it says so right on the package. This blade is NOT meant to bend at 35 or 45 deg. as some folks might do with thin regular metal blades while demoing... like when cutting a wall from a floor. Use the right blade for the job. This blade is stiffer and a little thicker so the carbide teeth can be attached. 5. When plunge cutting have the shoe or foot of the saw on the workpiece, working "wild" and trying to start the cut freehand will almost guarantee a shattered or bent blade. The hooked tip works very well by the way. 6. Will it cut up pallets, yes... it does a great job of doing it very quickly, just be careful that the tip of the blade doesn't hit a hidden piece of wood. I use this blade to cut the nails and a 5 TPI pruning blade to cut the pallet wood without nails or staples. Overall this is a great blade and Milwaukee did a good job of designing it for its intended use, but they might want to include instructions so folks know how & when to use it!

I needed some Sawzall blades and these are Milwaukee, top of the line. I have the three main types of blades, wood, metal and nail embedded wood. These are different, they are sold as nail embedded wood blades, they are much more than that. they have carbide teeth and they can cut nail embedded wood and much more, cement backer board, shingles, and just about anything else, carbide teeth are known for that and these teeth are unique to these blades. I expect the blades to last a long time another feature of carbide. i am very happy with them.

I'm working on a few different projects right now that require me to cut through nails. After going through 10+ blades by another brand, I thought I'd give this one a try. This blade cut much faster than the others and after cutting through some old fencing littered with nails, the blade still has life left in it. I also used this blade to cut through plaster and it ripped right through it without a problem. Wish I had this blade sooner.

Works well. Have one but misplaced it. Figuredxit would be faster to get another one. Not as good ss Diablo but does the job.

Used this to cut the roots on a large holly bush, so I could dig the bush out of the ground. They made the job so much easier!
