I ordered this BOLT safety helmet for my remodeling work, and it's been a solid upgrade from my old hard hat. It's definitely built with job site safety in mind. It looks modern and almost tactical - especially when you add some accessories. The fit is really comfortable, which matters a lot when you're wearing it all day. There's an adjustment knob in the back that makes it easy to get a snug fit. I can wear it for a full workday without getting the headaches or sore spots on my scalp I used to get with my old hat. The vents are a big plus for working in the heat. When you're tearing out drywall or doing demo in the summer heat, those vents help keep your head from overheating. The small brim in front is useful too - it keeps dust and debris out of your eyes better than a standard hard hat. I appreciate the extra coverage this helmet provides. The back comes down lower, which feels safer when you're working overhead or in tight spaces like attics. The helmet seems really durable. It's taken a few accidental bumps already and hasn't shown any signs of damage. The chin strap is a nice feature for when you're bending over or looking up a lot - keeps the helmet secure on your head. One thing that's been really useful is how easy it is to attach accessories. I've added a headlamp for work in poorly lit areas, and it clips on and off without any hassle. I tried to stretch my Milwaukee Goggles around them but it really didn't fit well at all. It is a wee bit heavier than a standard hard hat (especially with accessories, so watch out!) but the improved comfort and protection make up for it. After a few days of wearing it for several hours at a time, I barely noticed the extra weight. Overall, if you're doing any work with falling object hazards and want a helmet that offers good protection / comfort for long days, this BOLT helmet is worth considering. It's been a good addition to my PPE so far.

I am retired and don’t plan on doing any rock climbing or spelunking but I do want head protection if I am pruning limbs in my yard or if a severe storm or tornado hits. This helmet fits comfortably and can accommodate accessories such as a headlamp which I plan on purchasing. It is vented to prevent my head from overheating and also has a small brim to protect from rain. I feel confident that I will have added protection if violent weather occurs.

I'm a Forester, heavy equipment operator, and wildland firefighting sawyer. I talked with my safety officer about upgrading our kit to ANSI 2 and this was what we selected. I got a test article and took it out to the field for testing and it beat everything I've tried before by a mile. I bought these for all of my field-going staff along with the modular eye and earpro. the headlamp mount works great even for my not-Milwaukee-brand lamp. can't recommend this thing enough. But make sure you have a skullcap or something when you wear it because it gets a bit rough on the scalp. that moisture wicking skullcap that Milwaukee carries is pretty nice

I needed a new climbing helmet and chose the Milwaukee Bolt Vented Safety Helmet. This is an ANSI Type 2 Class C helmet, which is not rated for high voltage use. The helmet offers abundant attachments, including headlamps, ear protectors and marker clip for easy access to pens and markers. The padded suspension system and adjustable swing ratchet makes for a very comfortable fit. We do tree work part time, and this helmet is perfect for arborist work in trees. The venting design is especially good on hot summer days. It also works very well on jobsites where there are potential side impact hazards from swinging objects. It’s become my favorite safety helmet for summer use.

I wore a hard hat for many years working as a pipefitter for a shipbuilding company, and also while working for a paper company. This was back in the 70s and early 80s. The hard hats we wore back then were horrible in comparison to this one. They provided much less protection, and they were super uncomfortable. The old hard hats were also difficult to keep on your head, especially whenever the weather was hot and you were sweating really bad. From the product information I read, and the videos I watched, I believe this hard hat should provide maximum protection on the job. I like the design of it, how it dips down in the back like a military helmet. It's very comfortable, and it's super easy to adjust the liner with a knob on the back, and to adjust the chin strap with a locking plastic clasp and drawstring. I like the way it's designed to easily pop accessories on and off to make it more versatile for different job applications. Overall it's a really good hard hat.

Extremely comfortable compared to other hard hats I have worn over the years.

I had heard complaints from other people's reviews about how heavy it was, but was pleasantly surprised when it didn't feel all that different for my old one. Yeah, there's a little extra weight once you add all the different attachments, but once the neck/shoulder muscles are re-trained to it, I don't foresee having any issues.

It was bought as a gift, so I can't speculate on anything about the product.
