Paper cut for touching the package
This set is a nice pick up for the price that I paid for. I haven’t got a chance to test the sockets yet. I did get a paper cut for touching the edge of the paper cardboard that wraps around the plastic hard case. Be careful!

    Impressive Quality for the price point!
    I received this as a Father's Day present! Customer service went out of their way to make sure this was delivered on time and took extra effort in helping my mother (as she bought it). They were very patient and delivered world class customer service. Upon receiving it, I adjusted our side fence gate. The sockets gripped tightly with zero slippage! I broke my last set - the quality of these is much higher! 5* recommendation

        Misleading
        Says it comes with a15/16 short and deep wall but it doesn’t. Only goes up to 3/4. They have a misprint it’s supposed to be 5/16 not 15/16. Still a good price if u get it on sale.

          Great sockets
          For the price, these are excellent sockets, build is good, quality is great. If you’re older and have trouble seeing, the painted stamped sizing is great on the eyes, especially working in low light conditions. I have both 3/8 and 1/4 metric sets and have enjoyed using them. Side note those magnetic style socket holders where the sockets insert a drilled hole, these won’t fit, they are a bit thicker

            Beautiful
            While working on our race car, it occurred to me just how lacking my tool collection was in 6-pointed sockets. A 12-point one just wanted to strip the bolt head when you applied enough pressure to turn the crank. I wanted some strong ones. I wanted them to be easily identified as to size. I wanted most sizes that would be the ones you'd use a 3/8 drive for. I wanted SAE and Metric. This is it!

              They’re incredible. I use them all the time and the deep sockets are great for all-thread. I had to do an annoying job and use 2 of them in wet fire-caulking and they got fire caulk all over them. Most of it came off but now so many of my toolls are kinda nasty sad.

              Incredibly sturdy
              This socket set is a beast. Each one is a good weight in hand and altogether hold up well. I had the case sitting on the front seat in my truck and the vehicle thought a passenger was present and not wearing a seatbelt! Attaching and detaching the sockets from an impact driver is quick and painless. Besides the well molded inner well to allow for a deep reach, the best feature is the stamped labeling that will hold up to wear so you can always tell what size each one is.

              I didn’t know what I was missing! This cordless 3/8” ratchet is quite convenient. The head isn’t much bigger than any of my manual 3/8” ratchet wrenches. The body is definitely more bulky than the handle of a manual wrench. Since you don’t need to rotate it like a manual wrench, if it fits the space, you are in business. It also has a light built into the body. I don’t always need it, but it has been useful when I do. The kit comes with two (2) batteries, a charger, the wrench tool and a carrying bag. Everything fits nicely in the carry bag. Along with a light on the body of the wrench, it has a set of LEDs to show the charge level. It is located on top, right where you can easily see it. The tool is more hefty than a non-powered ratchet, but it is not heavy or tiring to use. It also fits well in my hand. I’m happy to have it. It is a convenient alternative to a regular hand tool.

              Nice rail for the sockets. Large numbers to see what size you need. 6 point is great for old rusty bolts. I just got done with my son's car, new struts, new backing plate, rotors and pads. I had to pull the rear hubs. The sockets worked great and didn't slip on any of of the hex heads. That made a difference in a job of not becoming a nightmare because of rounded heads on bolts.

              This metric set of Milwaukee impact sockets is half inch drive and six point contact with a deep well. For those using a pin detent style impact wrench, these sockets have two holes to simplify attachment. One of the features of this set is the large stamped markings for socket size and the bright white ink used to fill the markings. The sockets are manufactured from forged high torque impact steel for durability and they include a non-slip hex geometry to reduce damage to the socket and rounding of the fastener. The sockets come in a blow mold style case that has a space for each socket that is labeled with the corresponding socket size. Not only does this make it easy to put sockets back in the correct locations but it also makes it easier to identify a socket to select if they have turned and the socket markings are not visible. The case is designed to nest when stacked which will help with storage. In my testing, the sockets held well on an impact wrench with friction ring connection. They also fit well on fasteners with no slipping or rounding of the fastener. Overall this is a great product that I absolutely recommend. My only thoughts or concerns which are minor and do not detract from the value of the product: 1) Once the retail wrap is removed, one has no way to differentiate between different cases of impact sockets from the outside (i.e.: metric vs. standard) as the blow mold case does not have any part numbers, words, etc. on it other than the Milwaukee logo (note: inside there is a sticker identifying each socket size and its corresponding individual part number); 2) Some of the red ink/paint drizzled or dripped onto other areas of the sockets during manufacturing.               SUMMARY: A GOOD LARGER DEEP WELL SOCKET SET FOR THE MONEY BACKGROUND: I got a smaller Milwaukee Model 49-66-7021 deep well socket set a short time ago, but it didn’t have several sizes I use. The chance to evaluate the larger 49-66-7008 set was too good to pass up. FIT AND FINISH: Same sturdy construction of my other Milwaukee socket sets. FEATURES: From the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate. • Kit includes 14 deep metric sockets, the following sizes are included: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21mm. o My first set did not include the 11, 12, 16, 18, and 20mm sockets. This does include all but the 20mm, which I have in other sets. • Boldest, longest-lasting markings and extreme impact durability in high torque applications. The stamped and ink-filled size marking enables users to select the right socket every time throughout the life of the socket. o The markings are easy to see when new. Time will tell if dirt and grease makes it difficult. Size is only marked on one side. It would be nice if the size was marked around each socket. • Laser etched part numbers. o Handy if I ever need to replace one. • Engineered with high strength forged steel for optimized performance in heavy-duty applications. o I contacted Milwaukee technical support and asked: “What alloy is used for your impact rated sockets?” They replied: “this would be considered proprietary information, so not appropriate to share.” I find that a disappointing answer as I have been able to get alloy composition from other manufacturers in the past. • Non-slip hex geometry to prevent socket and fastener rounding. o The radius relieved corners seem to be a common construction configuration now. o I did a test of the non-slip feature (see photos) and found that the socket will deform (crease) a lower grade nut to such an extent that a standard socket will be slightly difficult to use. But it didn’t round it over. I believe this is because the radius relieved corners appear to be simple circular sections, leaving an edge between the flats and the reliefs. I seem to recall in years past that at least one other manufacturer had a slight blending between the two surfaces to avoid concentrating the force along an edge. The socket did not appear to suffer any damage. • Dual-hole design and ring groove allow for easy socket attachment and removal. o The dual-hole design is slightly harder to remove than the internal recesses in some of my other sockets. But I’d rather have them a little harder to remove than too easy. • Customizable Socket Rail comes with removeable end caps to add or take off socket clips for optimal storage. o You can do it, but there isn’t room to add any sockets to the rail. • Backed by a Lifetime Guarantee. • Meets ASME industry standards. o There are tons of standards, but Milwaukee doesn’t say which ones on the package or the product information page. SUMMARY: Worth the money to complete my metric deep well socket collection. PROS: Heavy duty. Easy to use CONS: Not marked with the size on all sides.               This impact socket set came in very well packaged and very well protected. It has helped my husband take his motor apart to repair the motor and put it back together with ease. He said they were great to work with and he said they were all sturdy and very well balanced in his hands. He said they will be of great help in his hobby of re-building his old truck and the motor.

              This Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless High Speed 3/8 in. Ratchet Kit w(2) Batteries, Charger, and Bag is another great addition to the Milwaukee line of fine cordless tools. The included (2) batteries are 2.0Ah which is plenty for the way this tool will be used. The kit also includes a charger and a bag where everything fits for storage or carrying. The variable speed ratchet produces up to 35 ft. lbs. max. torque and can be used without power when necessary. At 450 RPM, it's very fast! The forward/reverse direction switch in the head is steel, easy to move, but tight enough to stay in position. The steel trigger feels good and provides infinite speed control. There is a safety lock-out switch just in front of the trigger to prevent accidental operation. The entire tool, especially the head, is compact allowing use in tight spaces. The LED light puts good light right where it’s needed. Like other Milwaukee tools, the built in gauge lets you know how much charge is left on the battery. This is one of those tools that should grace every tool cabinet/box. While manual and corded tools still have their place, I’ve become quite spoiled to these Milwaukee cordless tools, and this is no exception.

              Milwaukee yet again has another winner! This socket set is perfect for my needs. At work I'm constantly on the go from building to building. I needed some deep impact sockets for those tough jobs for heavy use for my impact drill. I love that everything is in one case that's easy to carry. Everything is labeled and easy to read. sockets are laser printed and the number stands out so that its easy to locate what you need. The best part is that these are built to last and built to take a beating which is exactly what I need. Overall, you get the best and you know that they will last.

              Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE 1/2 in. Drive SAE Deep Well Impact Socket Set (12-Piece) review: Well, here is another shining example of an excellent Milwaukee product! First, the socket set is contained in a strong case - excellent! Each socket has its size both indented and colored white on black - yeah! They are heavy and durable and built to last. I like using them on my small Milwaukee stubby impact wrench. Of course they work well on the big boy impact wrenches! Built tough, easy to see the size, and all stored in an easy and durable case. Milwaukee rocks! Love it! There ya go!

              A very nice set of 1/4" metric impact sockets. They come on a nice handy rail to help keep them organized in your box. I really like how the sizes are clearly marked and how the white really stands out against the black of the socket. I've used them just a couple of times so far and haven't had any problems, they have a good hold on the impact but are still easy enough to remove/ switch out.

              It's compact, easy to hold and fast. The trigger provides great control - see video - from dead slow to full speed which is 450 RPM. The ability to add my weight to breaking stubborn fasteners without risking damage to the ratchet is a boon. The 35 ft. lbs. of available torque is enough to ensure fasteners stay secured. The batteries each charged up in less than an hour and the zip up soft case keeps everything together. Works with regular and impact sockets.

              The socket set has what you need for all the tough jobs that they're needed for. I got these to have as a precautionary measure for changing out tires during a roadside emergency. I have the 1/2 inch Milwaukee Impact Wrench and needed these to complete my goal of having a quick go to for changing out tires. The added bonus for me is that these sockets can be used for many other mechanical tasks that may arise. I enjoy that they come in a quick grab and go case. Perfect for storing in the trunk of a car or in any garage or took cabinet. These are made of quality steel and are laser etched for easy distinction. These are going to last me a lifetime and are definitely adding a little peace of mind to my travels. SIMPLE! QUICK! NO BRAINER! RECOMMENDED!

              I'm that guy that buys used vehicles when they need their first brake job, new tires and a tune up and then drives them 200,000 to 300,000 miles (or until the Junkyard tows them away). My wife and I have done this with 9 vehicles. My first getting acquainted is often a Saturday brake job out in the driveway. I have a 3/8" pneumatic ratchet that I use in tight spaces where I can't get my pneumatic 1/2" impact wrench. Brake caliper bolts on the backside of the rotor are an excellent example. The Milwaukee M12 Fuel 3/8" High Speed Ratchet caught my attention. It is lightweight, portable (no hoses nor compressor to deal with) and does everything my pneumatic ratchet does without the hassle. I often don't bother to get my pneumatic ratchet out when I'm working under the hood--it is just too clunky and bothersome and I can just get whatever I'm bolting/unbolting done manually. With the M12 Fuel 3/8" Ratchet I can just grab and go...as quickly and easily as a manual ratchet. The head is compact and can get in tight spaces. I like the soft grip and the variable speed trigger action. It even has a light. 5 stars for an excellent solution.

              I have to say I’m well pleased with the quality of the M12 3/8 ratchet. I’ve had my eye on this a while as something I felt would be a worthwhile addition to my tool lineup. Now it don’t have the strength to break loose really hard fasteners from a cold start but I did not really expect it to do that. I have an M18 impact wrench for that job. They way I found it useful is to use it like a regular ratchet to break a faster loose then kick in the electric to save time backing it off (or tightening it down as the case may be). That is where this tool shines – as a big time saver when you have a number of fasteners to deal with. I used to have an electric ratchet years ago and I liked it as a time saver but it was one that used rechargeable batteries that were not replaceable. So when they finally wore out that was it for it. And when they ran down you had to wait for it to recharge. For those reasons I never got another electric until now. I stuck with my manual and air ratchets until now. But battery tech has clearly stepped up in recent years. This is so far beyond that previous electric I had. It is stronger, built better and the M12 batteries will make keeping it going many years a snap not to mention not having to wait on a charge. Not having to drag out an air hose is also pretty nice. It comes with a nice pair of batteries and a good charger so out of the box you are good to go. I already had a number of M12 batteries in varying capacities so that don’t hurt either. I doubt I will ever need more than 2 at a stretch since they last very well. But if I do all the better. The softside case is a nice compact case if you need to carry it on the go. I thought the battery straps a little odd as one is an elastic strap and another a Velcro type. I liked the elastic strap better. Not sure why they did not use elastic for both unless it was in case you have one of the bigger M12 XC batteries although it looks like either would hold that as well. For my purposes I gave this a spot on the rack where I keep my most used Milwaukee M18 and M12 tools out at the ready because this will be seeing a lot of use as one of my more frequently used tools. It seems to be built like a tank so I expect it to hold up. I found it comfortable in the hand. I'd thought it might seem bulky but I ddid not realy feel that when holding it. There was only one thing I saw I would change a little. The direction switch on the back of the ratchet is a pretty low profile affair. It is easy enough to turn but if you have greasy hands or especially if you are wearing gloves I think it could be harder to operate. It could be a bit more raised for that reason. But I can see advantages to keeping the head low profile too. So that’s a trade-off. Admittedly I pretty much never wear gloves when wrenching unless I’m outside in the middle of winter doing it and even then not often.

              I am really enjoying my new Milwaukee Shockwave Sockets. I like the bright white sizes engraved on each one. These deepwell sockets also have two holes in them so they stay on the impact gun or ratchet without slipping off. The hard plastic waterproof case is great for storage. The set includes all the basic sizes that you will need. I often have the need for sockets that are strong forged steel and can withstand the torque of an impact gun. We use them for building decks and outdoor sheds, driving bolts into concrete.Definitely recommend these Shockwave sockets.

              For those interested in the country of origin, these products were made in CHINA. Unit is light weight and easy to handle, even with the battery attached. Tried to use it to remove lug nuts unsuccessfully, but other types of removal attempts were easy and quite quick to do. Otherwise quite powerful for size and weight. Unit fits into tight spaces (removed a spark plug without removing tractor cowling). Much easier than trying to swing ratchet wrench through even the smallest of arcs. Comes with a charger and batteries as opposed to those vendors selling only the tool. All pieces come in a carry case. Good idea to be able to lock / unlock paddle switch so unit will not start accidentally. Comes with a power level indicator which helps before you start a job.

              What a great impact socket set. Comes in 12 piece with carrying molded case. Sockets sizes from 3/8":through 1 1/16" sizes. The individual sockets have the sizes imbedded into the socket and then have been painted white in the imbed sizes. The sockets are designed in 1/2" drive for use with impact drills and are manufactured in the 6 point deep socket, "NON-SLIP HEX GEOMETRY" style. These are a very heavy duty socket that will take a lot of abuse during it's lifetime.

              Most of my work I typically use standard "thin" wall sockets even for impact or high torque. Now that I use powered drivers more than hand ratchets I felt it time to move to the appropriate socket for powered driver/impact applications. I went with the Milwaukee 3/8" SHOCKWAVE set because of the engraved, white stenciled markings on the socket wall. Each socket size is easily identified thanks to the bold marking. I also like the included case to keep this set together in. The real bonus is the socket collection in this set; 12 pieces of the most common socket size most folks use 5/16" through 1" in 1/16" increments! The deep socket design is perfect for the longer fastener work and the 6 point socket well leaves less chance of rounding out the bolt/fastener in high torque application.

              These sockets from Milwaukee are ¾” drive heavy duty deep impact sockets. This particular set is an 8 piece Metric 6 point set. The set consist of 26mm, 27mm, 29mm, 30mm, 32mm, 35mm, 36mm and a 38mm size socket. The sockets come packaged in a nice blow molded storage case. Unique feature of these sockets are the size markings. They have deep stamped size markings that are white ink filled for exceptional visibility. Socket markings and depth of bolt/nut clearances are superior compared to Snap On as shown in the photos. Sockets come with a lifetime guarantee.
