This is an awesome range hood, it has exceeded my expectations. It’s a quality build and the filter screens are easy to clean and service. It’s quiet on low, powerful on the highest setting, and the lights are perfect. I highly recommend this unit! It is paired with their 6 burner Pro Range that is better than both Thermador and Wolf brands that have used in the past, with a wider range of heat control - especially the low simmer capabilities. NXR is a great company with quality products and excellent customer support!

I bought this range hood not to long ago when remodeling my home. So far the hood has a great exhaust, doesn’t seem overly loud and has a really simple baffle and grease trap removal cleaning process. When I had a question for the manufacturer, they responded same day and I had a resolution with 24 hours. I would definitely recommend this and will likely buy another one for my next remodeling project.

This is a really great hood we have had for at least three years. Commercial style grease filters are heavy duty and wash up easily in our dishwasher . Customer service at NXR is also really responsive with any questions.

Purchased range hood a couple months ago bc it was the exact size I needed to fit my granite back splash. I was unsure of the brand but the sleek design caught my eye and upon arrival, it looked better in person than online. After installation I immediately put it to use, the power of the fan is impressive and I appreciate the ease on the ability to take apart and clean. Highly recommend this range hood.

Overall good. Happy. Had been working for almost 2 years now. Installation is tricky but an externally vented hood is worth the effort and money, especially if you are cooking a lot. I used 2 car jacks to prop up the vent hood to install unless you hire a professional or have two extra people to help you hold the vent hood. States 800 cfm and I know it is powerful. Make sure you take time to clean the steel baffle filter- use the top dishwasher rack.

Seems nice but unlike product photo, this unit comes with an over-sized and very unsightly logo. As if anyone cares who made your vent hood, right? Baffles and baffle spacers came coated with hard to remove protective vinyl film. Took wife and I 45 minutes to remove the film whose apparent purpose is to protect the baffles from cosmetic shipping damage. These are the same baffles that are installed underneath the vent hood and thus can’t be seen anyway. It was a baffling manufacturer choice.

I have a handyman installed it, and went smoothly. However, the filters are very difficult to install. The instruction with figure to insert the filter looks different from the actual unit. The main problem is to insert the second filter, it has very little room to fit in and I have to force a little to push it in place. There is a middle divider between two filters, I can’t put it in. If the divider is in, there is not enough room to insert the second filter. If the second filter is inserted, there is no room to insert the divider. It seems like the lips to hold the filters is just a little bit long. Otherwise, the range hood works as described, I have only used it a few time.

Has a logo, that's not in the picture, mine was crooked. Mine also came with a dent in the corner but the item was packed immaculately, and the box was undamaged. I can't prove it, but it seems louder than claimed. It was supposed to be one of the quieter units, but if I run it on anything other than low, you can't hear yourself think. I wrote them an email about it all, and got one sentence back, "return to home depot" as if home depot is responsible for any of these issues.

Installed this unit for 3 of my client's kitchen and overalll I give this 5 stars. Ordered 1 unit online and it was delivered 9 days after. Wished delivery could be faster though. The unit is of good quality stainless steel. Motor is strong with that 800 cfm. Thats the main reason I got it because the homeowner wanted a stronger suction. This unit is far better than those 200 to 300 cfm units. The buttons look a little bit on the flimsy side and small could be nice if there is a different design but not really a big deal. The light is not too bright has a yellowish tone color that matches an elegant feel. Filters are stainless steel and can be cleaned manually or placed in a dishwasher. It has also a oil drip pan collector for the rear and sides. This is great because other brands have separate screen mesh filters that cost $30 per piece. It's a bit heavy during installation if you're just one person. You can screw a temporary ledger wood board on the wall so it wont slide off during install and drill new holes on the back side of the unit to line it off on the studs of your wall. The unit has a 7 inch diameter hole and you have to buy a metal or aluminum reducer of 7 inch to 6 inch. Then connect to the 6 inch exhaust vent line going outside of the house either wall or roof. The unit runs well and the 3 fan settings are just right. I didn't find it noisy like what other people rated it. However, when I installed this in a different kitchen the homeowner had an existing 4 inch exhaust vent line only. The homeowner did not want the additional work to replace the whole line to 6 inches. So when you run the unit to the 1st fan setting the noise level was tolerable but when it came to 2nd and 3rd level. It was loud due to the fact the motor suction is faster (7 inch) then the air being discharged comes to a bottleneck reduced to 4 inches vent line. Meaning its bringing in more air than the vent line could discharge out of the house and creating some backflow to the unit. Thus said, to enjoy the use of the unit. Its a must to have a min 6 inch diameter vent line and if you can increase it to 8 inch that would even be better. Factor in also the lenght span the vent line from kitchen going outside of the house. The shorter the span the better and efficient way for the unit to work properly. The longer the span vent line the harder the motor works harder to push the air out. See differences in the pics 7 to 6 and 7 to 4

Pro stove hood that has great power and lighting. The halogen lights are replaceable not like the LED. I use the low speed all of the time. The high speed is noisy, but if you are grilling steaks or fish-- it removes the odors, smoke and grease right away. The baffles are so much better, cleaner and don't retain odors like aluminum mesh screens. Needs two people to install because of the weight. I would buy again.

Stopped working after 2 years. Garbage. Don't buy.

I bought this range hood during a recent remodel on my home. I ended up encasing the unit and mounting it within the enclosure which was really easy to do. Since purchase a couple of years ago, this range hood has worked perfectly and I have no complaints regarding durability or functionality. I've used this in a variety of situations from making bacon, cooking steaks, to general purpose cooking. The various fan settings work well and I wouldn't consider the noise to be excessive at all. The lighting/illumination is perfect for cooking as well as a kitchen night light for my kids. The unit is easy to clean. The baffles slip in and out easily, then there is a drip tray that is easy to remove. I clean it every few months and a quick cleanout of the drip tray and wash with Dawn for all the parts is simple to do. It is obvious from the drip tray that grease is being extracted from what I am cooking so it's definitely working. Overall, I would buy this unit again if I need during my next remodel or home build.

This is a great hood and the fans are powerful. The fans are not loud as one would expect with its power.

This model has some serious suction. I almost never have to go above the lowest fan setting. Also the filters fit almost easily in my dishwasher, so I can take care of both of them in one load (and still leave room for a flatware and a few dishes). Support is also good--they actually speak English.

Bought this from Home Depot. I love my nxr range hood. Nxr has great customer service as well

Looks good but not at all quiet. Lowest setting is 60 db and highest is 73 db which is equivalent to 21 sohns. Beware!

We recently installed this vent hood, and it’s been a game-changer in the kitchen! It’s powerful, quiet, and really clears out smoke and odors quickly. Everything went good during installation, and it works perfectly every time. Highly recommend!

Very reasonable price and modern design. Had for over 2 years and still happy for the quality.

Used this range hood every day during the past three years. So far we are very happy with this product. Pro: - Pro design in stainless steel casing - Has many different fan speeds - Very powerful sucking power with reasonable air flowing noise when fan is in high speed - Very easy to clean the filters - Very bright LED working lights - Easy to install. PS. We utilized a car jack with multiple 2x4 to lift up this heavy range hood to get to the installing point. Cons: None, so far.

The sheet metal used to construct the hood portion has weak joints and very sharp edges. It looks cheap. The baffles are also light gauge and come wrapped in plastic that I spent 15 minutes pulling off. The screw points are extremely difficult to get your hands into to secure the unit requiring a deep drive on your screwgun. The location where the power cable originates is poorly placed all the way in the right corner of the unit. The unit comes ensconced in a raft of non-recyclable foam.

Product runs efficenly, removes cooking vapors through hood and vent to the outside. Very quick effective operation

I was interested in this range hood. Replaced our over-the-range microwave. The suction is powerful and is easy to use.

The unit needs more than one person to install. There was an issue with switch assembly which NXR s call center immediately replaced.

I specifically went to vent hoods listed as lower volume but this is extremely loud! I can’t imagine what higher would be!
