AC Great Router
I’ve had the AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi, Model R7000 and it has been great since 2016. Recently upgraded to a SMART QLED 85” Samsung and it handles that and multiple other Wi-Fi items in the home. Never an issue with it if any kind!

NOT WORKING AT ALL
This product does not even pop up on my network to access the settings. I have reset it 100 times and keep trying when it finally sows up on the my network list, I do the whole set up but it stopped after this step. Then disconnects and stops working, and does not show up on the network preferences again. This is so frustrating. Tried the WPS button, with ethernet cable. Just disappointed. I had such high hopes.

great product, but did not last as long as expecte
I bought this router about 4 years ago when i first got gigabit internet. The router worked great, and all the setting/readycloud were fairly easy to use and understand. I do a lot of game server hosting, and port forwarding with it was never an issue.
however, about 3 years into owning it the 5GHz antenna died. it would constantly drop connection and signal, and slowly deteriorated until 5g was useless, and even turned off. (and yes i updated to newest firmware, factory reset and everything else i could think of. this is unfortunately not a very uncommon issue.)
I was disappointed, but continued to use just the 2.4GHz band, and had no issues. Until about another year passed; at which point the 2.4g antenna followed the same fate. i had retired it to being an access point not too long ago, but now it can not even handle that.
again, great product for the first 3 years. i do not know how common this issue is, but i have seen many people with the same experience. if you plan to replace/upgrade after about 3 years, then it is probably a very good router for you to choose.

Wonderful upgrade to our home network
Our ISP supplied us with a Technicolor TG588v modem/router. It had pitiful wifi signal strength anywhere beyond a few feet from the device.
Finally grabbed a new Netgear AC1900 and wow, what an improvement. Now I've got great wifi speeds and signal strength even way out in the backyard.
The router was very easy to setup. It even downloaded the latest firmware right away to stay current.
Very pleased with this Netgear router. Highly recommended.

The device is good...even for large homes.
I brought this item several years ago. I had other routers before this router. It is the best one. I purchased for parental controls and range of service - it's better than a service provider unless you want to pay more. The only issue that I have is the clock daylight savings time feature is not work. I had 20 devices on it at one time. Other features are good. Getting the Gear Head Support Warranty is a sound investment.

Work great for 7 years
Time for an upgrade to wifi 6E or 7. But this R7000 router work great for me through the years. Never dropped out in me.

Difficult setup
Changed from a different Nighthawk router to this one. Difficult to set up and coordinate wifi while removing old router. After lots of trial and error, eventually worked under old wifi name but now it seems to work! Spotty here and there but no major issues.

Solid product.
A router was needed for exclusive use with my Amateur Radio, (HAM RADIO), and is located remotely in a field housed in a NEMA enclosure. It works great in the heat and cold. Has not skipped a beat maintaining communication with system components. Set-up is very flexable making it a good all around router for my use. Would purchase again and look forward to using newer fiber based product from NETGEAR.

Stopped working
With disappointment, I have yet to receive a response from Netgear about my R7000. It will not hard reset to factory settings, will not connect to the internet and unable to WiFi access point. I now have to purchase an Arris for my network to function properly.

Works pretty well
Works pretty well, remote access doesn’t work the best on the app though have to go through terminal. But it’s far better than the stuff the internet company provides.

New router
Easy to set up, doesn't seem to be as fast as my previous Netgear router because streaming lags. It would be easy to blame it on how many devices are attached but I live by myself.
