I love this product. i have installed for my 2 houses. and its round the clock surveillance for 2 weeks automatically overwrite. and with the 1 and 2 T-byte. good enough to cover for 8 cameras 24 hrs surveillance. and 4 cameras 1 tbyte .i have my houses everything covered and secured,i dont have to pay monthly as well. pretty smart move.less expenses

It's not WIRELESS and it looked like it came with a monitor, but it didn't, so u have to buy that"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We set this security system up inside our shop as we needed indoor security. The setup up was easy , mounting the four cameras took less than an hour. It was easy to connect the cameras to the to the hard drive and app. The pictures are clear and the spotlight is bright when motion is detected. The included power cords are 9ft long so you do need to install close to an electrical outlet. Overall a great security system to keep an eye on your property.

This is an awesome surveillance system for the price...it’s super easy to get up and running. Picture quality, color, and clarity is fine. I also added the camera door bell. It integrated well.

This system had trouble from the start, broke after only 2 years. I was told by Customer/Tech Support the next generation was compatible with the existing cameras, even though their own website said it was not. When the system did not record properly, tech support said return it for a new one. After that unit also did not record properly, tech support said they are not compatible and the only thing I can do is buy all new cameras. The number of incomplete and non-call backs from tech support was extremely frustrating and disappointing. They are apparently not trained to do their job, and the next gen product is apparently not backwards compatible one generation - terrible product release planning. I do not recommend this company at all.

Product is out of date, wont connect, nothing but failures. Nightgown says if I dont hook this to a monitor and troubleshoot for them, they can't help. Tech department is a joke. Hokd times are hours. Chat is so slow it times out. Don't buy this junk. Support is non existent.

I purchased a Night Owl 4 camera system February 28 2023. I had 2 of the 4 cameras fail within the 1st week and have been battling with Night Owl for 2 weeks now to get the defective cameras replaced under warranty. Today I saw on their website that my issue was "resolved " (?) I would not recommend Night Owl !

I've had so many continual problems with Night Owl Camera Systems! The Cameras work well but the Apps don't work well on I-Phones and I don't have experience with Android Phones. I cannot Playback Recordings on the phone; as soon as I touch the Playback Button the App Closes. I've wasted way too many hours on the phone with their Technical Assistance. Each time that I call their Technical Assistance I get someone telling me the opposite of what the last one told me. None of them seem to know what to do if they can't find it in their manual that they use to try to assist customers. Won't buy Night Owl again!

Love my system it’s a WNVR -C20-81 but I need an additional camera but can’t find one.

We have their WiFi system. Installation and connection(s) are simple. Video capture is pretty good. Their software, however, renders the system just short of useless. Away from your house and get a notification of motion? Not going to see it from their app, or online. We've had their system for a couple of years and it has never worked in this respect, and there has been no movement to improve. Folks would be better off just mounting fake cameras and save a bunch of money.

I bought an 8-channel NVR / 4-camera package (wired power, wifi image streaming) for my parents in 2017. They have worked flawlessly for 5 years now though I recall the setup was frustrating. I bought the same package (but 2022 version) recently - having same experience. But when setup I'm confident they will work reliably and as good as the system I had purchased for my parents 5 years ago.

They are awesome and now I’m relieved to be able to see my Dad wen I’m at work

I received my system a couple weeks ago and got it installed. The cameras are nice, images are clear and crisp, and there are many things that can be configured with the system giving a lot of flexibility. Out of the box my cameras were not pre-paired to the receiver, so nothing worked. The install guide and online videos didn't help. I did an online chat with Support and they walked me through the pairing process. The Support team was great and the pairing process was easy but it was frustrating that I had to go that step. My other ding on the system is that the configuration interface is very old school. At this point, I would have expected to be able to use a web browser on a laptop to configure the system.

The sound is great like that I can hear both ways. The camera picture is great and adjustable.

This is an upgrade to an smaller system we've had for years. The cameras from the old system are compatible with this one and it works great. Have contacted customer service a few times with questions and they are very responsive.

I’ve had these cameras for over 7 months now and there still going strong. Wish they had better mounting options but that’s just me being picky.

I saw several negative reviews about this product that almost discouraged me from purchasing. I decided to go with it because of the 24/7 recording capabilities. I am very glad I did. I have the 4 cameras spaced around my property. I wheeled the areas off to be certain I was within the 300’ wireless connection range. Two are at 260 and 280 feet from the DVR and the other two are within 60’ of the DVR. All 4 perform great with video and audio recordings. Night vision is good. The ease of setting up is awesome. The setup wizard walks you through each step.

I bought this cameras system 1 week ago. First of all I got trouble to pair cameras, then I decided call tech support, he walks me through the settings. Now I am happy with product. Thank you for your help

Too many wires. Go wireless. Give me some free stuff too. I shop at home depot all the time.

We bought this to install while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. Even though they are just temporarily set up we can see what is going on at home when we are 1700 miles away. Can't wait to set cameras permanently and learn more about the features of Night Owl.

I was replacing an older sec. camera system that I had, and found that Night Owl had "panoramic" wide angle cameras. The installation of the hardware and paring of the cameras was very straightforward, and the clarity of the video is incredible! I have on camera that is 50 ft. away and obstructed by a garage with a metal roof, so I just ordered their very reasonably price extender antenna--and NO shipping charges. I am impressed. If a 60 yr. old Grandma can do this, so can you!

Able to see each area the camera is in . Reassuring knowing home is safe .

The only thing is only three of my cameras work so what can I do to get another one
