We needed privacy for two set of French doors going out to our Lanai. We found out about these add on blinds. What a great idea. Did not take my husband long at all to put these up. Followed the directions that was enclosed with the blinds and also watched a couple YouTube videos from real people that installed these so that helped out a lot. And they're also very easy the take down

These blinds are very nice and are so much nicer than others I have had on my doors. They were easy to install and work great. I would highly recommend them.

Up front disclosure: Our living room front entry is a bit messy and stalled in choosing paint colors. So please excuse the mess! BUT one project at a time is best I can do;-) Our tv faces the front door and picture window and is less than 15ft away so the glares make it very hard to see the tv during the daytime. At Home Depot while a very knowledgable female employee was custom cutting faux wood blinds for me to put in the picture window, she recommeded the add-on enclosed cordless blinds for the front door half lite (which are found in the door section at my local HD). All I needed was a phillips screwdriver (and a steak knife to pry the screwhole covers out)! I also got my teenage son to help because he is taller than I am and just to make sure I didn't drop the new glass. It was super easy to install in less than 30min! It looks much better than curtains or the older (corded) blinds that always swing and bang or get caught when opening and closing the door. It looks pretty seemless, sticking out as much as the Schlage dead bolt and less than the door handle. Eventhough the product description says 'aluminum', the frame has a wood texture painted white. As you can see in my pictures, the enclosed blinds are fully adjustable up/down and open/close by using the smooth slides on each side of the frame. I highly recommend these ODL Add-On Enclosed Door Blinds that I found at Home Depot for less than $90 (for half lite doors)!

These are great. I like how the blinds are sealed within the glass to help prevent accidental damage and will help keep them clean. The controls for the blinds work smooth for easy adjustment. Installation was tricky but I had 2 completed in about one hour. The hardest part was getting the existing screw hole covers off the door frame. Also I recommend standing on a step ladder so you are looking down on the top of the window frame. The blinds have 2 narrow seams that need to hook into the frame hangers and it’s tricky to see from eye level. Overall I would say install is 6.5 of 10 skill level.

Very easy to install once you get the right fit. The website had the same stock number and dimensions for narrow fit and standard fit. Bought 4 standard fit over 12 years ago and they still work and look great! See picture. This last purchase was for my daughter. (Standard fit)

The window size dispayed is the actual window in the unit, not the outside measurements of the frane this product is designed ti fit over. My Hone Depot had a special section in one of the two door aisles with a great selection hiding behind a diaplay board for the products. Installation was a breeze and once i saw the information on the box, going hime with the correct size was assured for my Masonite exterior door. I would recommend using the website pictured below to clarify the size and fit for your door. I was befuddled by the two side clips and how the lockclips fit into them. Well it turns out they don’t, the placement of the spacer is deaigned to create enough clearance between the door and the frame your are installing over for the lock clip to slide under and lock in place. My add on has NO movement at the bottom and the two bevels on the locking clip made a sound as it clicked in behind the frame. Great product, highly recommend

Awesome blinds. Super easy and quick to install. Instructions say to loosen top/bottom corner screws to insert spacers, but for each spacer I only had to loosen one screw closest to where the spacer was inserted. Easy to use. Blinds glide and tilt nicely in the frame.

These blinds look so good on our patio doors and were super easy to install. When the glass needs to be cleaned , removing these blinds and putting them back up is really simple. They fit great and operate very smoothly when adjusting the slats for privacy or opening them for sunlight.
