The Planter Wall Block was a serendipitous update to our raised bed garden concept. They work better than I expected, and are perfect for a novice gardener like myself.

I used the wall planter blocks to build a raised bed flower garden. Easy! And Home Depot will cut wood boards for you!! Tim P that works at the Grand Chute, WI location helped me on Saturday and Sunday cutting cedar boards to the length I wanted. I am going to build a couple more raised garden beds and I will use the wall planter blocks again. Easy and fun!!

In theory these blocks are perfect for building a raised garden bed. However there are two main caveats: First of all, your ground needs should be as flat/level as possible in order for these to work properly. We were tearing up a 4x8' section of grass and it took us a while just to get the area level enough. What made matter worse, however, was that about 50% our 2x4's that we bought (rough red western cedar) were just a hair too thick, forcing us to hammer in the wood...which eventually caused these blocks to crack. One of the blocks literally broke apart because of the sheer amount of pressure we had to use to force the wood in. Not fun, and certainly not as easy/simple as I thought it would be.

This makes creating a raised bed super easy and looks great too! I plan to build a few more in other areas of my yard! On a side note, the associates in Home Depot were exceptionally helpful, especially Reggie in the lumber area. He cut the 2x6x8's perfectly and then proceeded to show me other items I needed in different departments. Awesome experience! I will be going back!

Great product for making any kind of non permanent planter boxes. I followed the manufactures recommendation to make it more sturdy by hammering 1/4 inch steel rod through the pre drilled hole in the center. I would recommend leveling out the area so the boards line up evenly if you intend to put a top boarder around. Works great with any length 2x6x?.

Clever design that worked great! I built my first raised bed in one day. Home Depot had everything I needed — these blocks, 2x6 boards, short rebar rods to anchor the corners, and bagged garden soil. The only tricky part was getting my yard level. Now if I can just find a way to keep the neighborhood deer from eating everything I plant . . .

For those looking to make a raised bed or beds - these make it easier! I like how they work with the boards, stack, and let you easily add on additional beds without the traditional hassle.

These blocks are great! I used them and 2 x 6s to build all new raised beds for my garden this year. The gardens were assembled in very short order. Wheelbarrowing the 3 cubic yards of mushroom mulch to fill them took a little while, though. LOL.

This product is perfect. My husband made me a raised garden bed for my birthday and Mother's Day. Got untreated 2x8 redwood so there was no problem at the joints and drove rebar down the center to hold it in place.

So easy to work with. Boards slide in easily. Perfect for raised beds with altered heights and lengths. After adding compost, the beds are solid and sturdy. It has been a month since completion and I am so pleased with the results. I plan to add additional gardens around the. Property.

So easy to use. I made a raised bed myself. All my husband needed to do was cut the redwood pieces. Planned to make more.

Easy to set up and very versatile for garden design alterations because these blocks are modular. They are just heavy enough to stay in place. All that is needed is some rebar to secure them into position. Very nice that they do not require any cement. They are fun to set up like Legos it Tinker Toys. I love the design feature of being able to go in 4 different directions with the side wall boards. It would be nice if there was a block that would allow for a 45 degree angle.

Exactly what I was looking for. I am able to make a raised garden bed that I can modify as my gardening skills improve, and lastly if the wood rots I am able to replace the slats.

I have built 7 fabulous raised beds simply and much cheaper than other alternatives. They look great and will last a very long time since I used treated lumber. Treated is now a safe product and much cheaper than redwood. I wouldn't hesitate on this product - just build one at 4x4 and then add another and another. I think the 4x4 format will yield a stronger bed less likely to have any bowing of the boards.

Easy to use. I built a 12' x 18' x 3.5' raised planter box around my deck in two half days using pressure treated 2x6s, these blocks, rod iron and 1x6s as sills for the top of the boxes. Wife loves it and I couldn't have done it without these blocks.

Very easy to use for raised beds. I used a 2" x 12" x 8 ' cedar board for the sides.

My wife an I were undecisive between using lanscape block or wood raised bed for my back yard sloped area until I went to one of the homedepot workshops and saw this product demonstration. The homedepot at my place was able to cut the wood pieces to the size I needed. Building the base was the tough part, after that it was easier. It turned out pretty good, we loved the look.

Very easy to assemble and lots of uses. Product is economically priced.

After building a large deer-proof enclosure, it was time for raised garden construction. The first few attempts were simple, 4-sided, built with treated lumber, and are only about 12” high. But THEN we found these and there’s no going back….. we HIGHLY RECOMMEND building raised gardens with these! This is a gardener’s version of Lincoln Logs or Tinker Toys. With these building blocks, treated wood (cut-to-desired lengths) and re-bar, you can design just about whatever you’d like. The design pictured in this review is 3 boards high, 4-ft x 8-ft perimeter, and includes top seating. It’s WONDERFUL to be able to sit at the garden edge! Construction didn’t take long and wasn’t hard. The kind people at Home Depot cut the boards to proper length, so I only needed a hammer to drive in the re-bar. Now....for another trip to the Home Depot....

These blocks make it easy to create a raised bed in no time. I loved my project with them! It only took me a couple of hours to set up a nice bed to plant raspberries in. It was so great to be able to do this myself and not have to ask my husband to help. All I used was a hand saw to cut boards to the right length and some pre cut rebar to stabilize the stacked blocks.

Love love love these blocks. I can put together great looking planter boxes with all left over wood I have in my garage.

Staff was really helpful. He kindly asked if we need help and he did it.

Works great for an easy assembly

I just built my garden box using these and they were very easy to use and the box looks great!

Design is good, but a 2x6 does not easily slide in to place. If forced the block breaks! We had to chisel the 2” end 1/8” to get it to fit. It then fit fine.
