I ordered a flat top and got dog-eared. Now I need to reorder and hope they ship the right box this time. You have to order more than you need to build a fence! I am discarding at least one picket out of every kit due to splits.

Were some on the pickets wet? Yes. Its winter. However they were not warped

I wouldn't have chosen some of the boards if I was hand selecting them. But out of the 22 cases I purchased only two were split and maybe 10 were inferior cuts.

These pickets are very rough cut, with significantly varying thickness. Not nearly as smooth as the pickets found on a complete cedar fence section from Home Depot. I used the wood to build a potting bench for my wife, which ended up looking quite nice, but only after a lot of machine sanding.

Bought this a month ago and they arrive 2 weeks ago (back ordered). My box contained lots of sapwood, and had wide divergence in thickness (from less than1/2 inch to almost 5/8). These are very rough boards - I had to plane/sand them before I would use on fence. I was making a planter (popular diy project), and boards were less than 1/2 inch by the time they were smooth enough for that type of project (one good face).

These were on sale and the right size for a half height fence I was building. because you don't choose the wood yourself, some of the boards were split. Order more than you need. came in large cardboard boxes that were very wet. i had to unbox the boards and let them dry for a couple of weeks prior to using.

A lot of messed up boards

I built a garden box out of these and it was the perfect wood for it. The wood was straight and in good condition.

This product was used to surround my existing trash can storage. I did it myself in several hours. The slats were out in the weather before I was able to attach them to the base, but they are efficient.

Get some extras. Quite a few boards that I didn’t want to use

I read the reviews: Now look at my photos. I significantly split one board out of 9 x 27 (243). 1. If you use an impact driver with 1/2" cedar, you deserve to split every board. 2. Do not drill less than 1" from the edge. 3. Try staining before drilling. 4. Drill with star head wood screws #8. Do not drill more than 2 rpm and go down to 0.5 rpm until you hear wood on wood. Only tighten with a manual screwdriver. 5. If it has to be perfect, predrill with a 1/16" drill bit, or cover the ends

Made small raised garden beds with these. Worked great.

This product is awesome. Built planters with them fantastic.

If you are looking for perfection, then keep looking. I ordered just enough of these to complete a fence project, but since about 10-15% of the boards had splits that ran lengthwise, I had to break down and order some more. They are not all uniform in sizing either; whether thickness or sometimes width. So, I was able to salvage most of the "unusable" by adding a short section of fence at the end, and then cutting down the pieces which had one or two foot splits. Overall, I guess the price was reasonable (these days) at around $2 per piece.

We bought the boards to reinforce our fence. We have an old fence, a lot of wind, and our dogs love looking between boards. It all worked out perfect

Terrible, I returned it.

Very wet ..some boxes were moldy

I was desperate to find anything to finish my outdoor cedar fence, but this isn't it. Cedar is in demand, and this is very reasonably priced, but the quality makes this a "pass" in the future.

These are not finished at all, very very rough, corners chipped or just overall split.
