I completed the testing but can not register by the Prolab app or online website. The app does not accept Canadian Postal Codes and the website failed to recognize my entry in the "State" field. Also, the serial number is not clearly identified on the test kit. The form you mail back once the test is complete includes all of your personal information and full details of your credit card so this is a serious risk of fraud and identity theft if your return package is stolen. I would never buy a Prolab product again.

Took money no results my husband died of cancer from radon

We bought this product , used it , sent it in for the test and all they did was cash my cheque and no test results , been over 1 year

I bought this product because I thought it would let me know the Radon level in my basement. It takes 3 to 12 months! I did not read the description close enough and have wasted my money. I already opened everything before I realized it was not the product I needed. Oh well. I need to know now, not a year from now.

Very disappointed to find that even though the tests are sent to a Canadian address, the lab is actually in the US. The accreditation details on Pro-labs website are for a US lab.

This is a scam. Once you read the fine print, you find that they want another $40.00 to process the test. When you send the test and your $40 bucks in: they go silent. They do manage to cash the check however. I've tried calling the company a few time and when they actually answer the phone - they are skilled at the run-around. Look else where for your tests.

Easy to use. Lab results are completed on reasonable time. Then they refuse to report the results to you unless you pay them again. Held my result for 2.5 weeks before sending email with results. Jerks. You must pay them more to not withold, delay test results. Use another company that won't be jerks. Pro Lab report shows : Test results completed, 9-19, 7: 15 AM, Test results email 17 days later, 10-6. No reason for this 2.5 week delay, refusal to email results.

I just hung it up on 6/28. I will not know how good it is until 90 days from now.

Returned - after reading instructions I was so disappointed when I read the part of “after 12 months, send results to New Jersey along with $40.00. ....”?!! Good thing I didn’t activate actual radon device and was able to return in unused condition.

I purchased this test kit from HD thinking it was good considering the price. Mailed all required items and never got the results. Called many times and crickets. I am looking at other reviews and everyone is complaining about the same thing. I am fighting HD for a refund. They should not be selling this product knowing the issue.

I returned it before I even opened the box it was shipped in. There is a $40 lab analysis fee to get your results, whereas the tests sold at the health department or online (same test that you get at the health department) for the same price have no added fee for the lab results.

I was planning on putting it in the basement which is unfinished professionally. But we use it frequently. But the test kit said to put it in the area that you spend 12 hours a day in. That would be the main floor I have always understood that you put the test kit in the unfinished basement. In fact I install a radon reduction system in a home I sold two years ago because of that location being excepted location by the buying market.

BIG RIP OFF! What a total wast. I followed the instructions exactly. Over three months later, I still have not received results. I paid 43 dollars for the kit and another 40 for the testing. Which they did charge to my credit card. I have called three times. Still nothing. You will get a friendly run around. I was told repeatedly that I would receive the results the next day. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

It has to be used a minimum of 3 months so no idea what the results will be.... decent price, picked up at the Plymouth store.

Can’t really answer that question as the nature of this test kit is long term, that being 3 months to a year and I just set it up.

Easy to use just hang it up and remember where you have put it because in 3 months you have to send it away to be analysed.

The kit came with easy to follow instructions. I sent it over to pro-lab after the required testing time passed, and received my report by email later on. Simple process and good service, would definitely recommend pro-lab test kits!

I read the reviews and noticed that all of the reviews were old so decided to purchase the Long term radon kit. Contrary to these old reviews, I was very happy with the pro lab long-term radon test kit. I found the directions very easy to follow. I completed the test, sent in the canisters with the check and received the results on time . While it is rare that I review products, I did so because I was completely satisfied with the Pro Lab long term radon test kit and Will definitely recommend to others

Simply instructions, simple mailing (did not use FedX), enclosed check, received email that they received, and a subsequent email with my full report. Can't get much better than that.

The radon capsule expired before we purchased the product! The expiration date is attached to the radon capsule which is enclosed inside the box. There is no expiration date on the outside. I called the company and left several messages with no response. I finally got through to an operator and insisted on talking to someone in the "Radon Department." I was advised that they would not be able to perform the test once it has expired and suggested I return it to Home Depot. Why is Home Depot even doing business with a company like this?

As with others, vials sent as directed, receipt acknowledged, and results never provided. Expected better from Home Depot.

ProLab never completed my test. I mailed in the sample with all proper documentation. The send an email of acceptance but never send me the results. I have requested the results numerous times and only hear silence from them. HomeDepot should re-examine their relationship with a vendor of the poor quality.

The gotcha is the fee for Prolab's analysis. You pay for the kit but they don't process until you send a check for the processing and then it's only posted on website versus contacting you. Call in and the people answering the phone are not pleasant (i.e. they don't want calls).

Be glad you checked the reviews before purchasing this product! I checked them after purchasing the kit, saw many people had issue with the company not receiving the vials in time to run the test. I wrongly assumed this was user error, people not mailing in time. Wrong! I performed the test per the instructions exactly, mailed it in their prepaid mailer within 12 hours of concluding the test. They didn't receive it for over 10 days according to the company and surprise, surprise it was "to old to test" just like all the other reviewers said. I am still working to get a refund, they wanted to mail me new test vials so I could waste more time repeating the test and sending it, the company rep I spoke to outright told me the problem is the prepaid envelope is "bulk mail" as they are too cheap to spend the money on postage that gets it there on time. They would much rather waste YOUR time. Go with another company besides prolab!
