Great, no need for expensive retaining wall when done properly
Make sure you have solid level base. See these everywhere around the neighborhood where they look like a mess after a couple of years. That is only because they are done properly. Did my walkout and after 4 years still looks good as new. The trick is to make sure you have a solid level base and set the first couple of rows properly. Wife and I did this ourselves. I re-used some of the old bricks I had which where different color and made a pattern with the colors and like the result.

After a three month process, I have the correct Buff Concrete Retaining Wall Block. The original Buff Concrete Retaining Wall Blocks I received in August were manufactured in the Pavestone plant in Louisiana and the color palette is not the same as those made in the Metro Atlanta Plant. I even spoke to the Pavestone representative and he agreed that the color palette should be the same across the USA.
After the additional discounts I received for the delays and shipping problems, I finally have my almost 700 blocks and 200 caps.
