Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear your dog is not respecting the boundaries of the Wireless Fence and we know this must be disappointing for you. We do hope your furry family member is now home safe.
As this is not a physical barrier, please know the effectiveness of this style of fence will depend on your dog's individual temperament and understanding of what is expected when they hear the warning tone or feel the static stimulation.
This understanding is gained by the amount of time you spend training them to their new boundaries. We recommend spending a minimum of two weeks training and there is a training guide in each of our fence manuals to help you through these steps and timeline. If they are breaching the boundary, typically you can resolve this by spending more time training with them.
It is also crucial to understand each dog's individual needs when it comes to selecting the appropriate level of static stimulation to assist in deterring them from leaving the boundary. If you are not seeing any signs of body language from your dog's to indicate they are feeling the static stimulation, some adjustment to the fit of the collar or a stronger level of stimulation may be needed.
We hope this information is helpful to you. Should you need any assistance with your fence, please know our product experts are available to assist you at the number 1-800-732-2677.
