Actually I was surprised at how easy it was to use. For a small, inexpensive cutter it was very efficient. A slight pressure was required to ‘score’ the tile. Then, following the instructions you use the cutter to clamp down on the scored area and break it off. This item is for ceramic wall tile. Safety glasses should be worn.

Shattered Tiles
So, I thought it was just me but i had multiple people try this and regardless of the intensity of the scoring line, everytime we tried to snap the line it would shatter the ceramic tiles. Waste of money, waste of tiles.

Perfect for subway tile
For the price, I thought I'd give this a go and it is a great little tool. Admittedly I have only used it for 3x6 subway tile but it worked perfectly. Also handy because you can have it in your pocket and not have to go back to a larger cutter every time.

USELESS
Used this on thin porcelain tile. Maybe USED is too strong a word as it was USEless. The scoring tool no matter how many times we went over and over it did not score enough for a clean break. I ruined numerous tiles, and have the blisters and bruised hands to show for it.

Looked everywhere for an affordable 36" tile cutter. Great news this unit will cut 36" tiles no problem. The box says 35" but don't let that throw you off. I've done about 100 hundred cuts and clean cuts every time. Just make sure don't apply too much pressure while cutting. One quick snap and breaks clean.

Professional grade, easy to use, and came already assembled. I wish I had purchased this earlier in my fireplace remodel. I was using a Dremel to saw through the tile. It left a whole lot of dust all over the place, the blade overheated, and I ended up chipping my tile. My cuts were not accurate.
Once I purchased this QEP 35 in. Rip and 24 in. Diagonal, Porcelain and Ceramic Tile Cutter the going was accurate and smooth! This is highly recommended. In m opinion, the price was appropriate and the quality high-end.

Easy Glass Cutter
I use this tool for glass cutting. I am a novice, so I like the fact that this tool makes it extremely easy to break the glass along the score line without having to use my hands or tap it with a conventional glass cutter handle. I ground the "anvil" down to get a sharper point. (Please see photo.) - ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN CUTTING GLASS!

Score
Great option if you're not looking to break out the wet saw. Much quicker to get setup and obviously less messy. You just need to have some patience and be sure you're applying even pressure as you score the tile. I only had one instance were I ruined a cut and it was because I was trying to go too fast. I recently used this and a set of tile nippers to finish a smaller bathroom and felt like it went much quicker than previous jobs when I would have to go outside to cut on the saw. Another plus is that replacement parts are readily available should you needed them.
The best tile cutter for the money! Very easy to use and built sturdy. So many features and details that allow for precise cuts. The cutter can handle tile up to 24" wide. Larger tiles can be supported by the fully adjustable extension arms on both sides of the aluminum alloy base. The padded extension arms adjust to any angle which came in really handle when I had some odd sized tiles. I was able to adjust the arms to different angles to support the tile. There's an adjustable edge guide with preset rulers and angles to make alignment easy. The angle guide goes up to 60 degrees and adjusts easily by loosening and tightening one lever. Centering the cut is very easy as well when you use the 2 different rulers on the cutter. One ruler is along the top of the table's tile edge guide. The second ruler is along the sliding angle arm. Measure twice - cut once. Always perfect! The base is very stable and includes rubber feet. The handle is comfortable and the perfect size for a firm grip. Scoring the tile doesn't take much pressure. They recommend medium pressure but I find a light scoring did the trick. I've used it to cut small tile to large tile and its been spot on. The edges are clean, precise and even. The pre-set angles are spot on right out of the box. The cutter glides easily over the 2 chrome-plated rails due to the ball bearings. Low maintenance too. No oil required on the bearings or bars. One small complaint, the instructions don't tell you how to adjust the cutting wheel height or how to remove it. Otherwise, huge time-saver next to a tile saw and amazingly precise!
Don't trust reviews! This worked better than anything else!
So after reading all the reviews about this tool breaking, I went and purchased a tile nipper for $20, a glass nipper (the one with two rollers) for $13, and a stone sanding block for $8. I began my project of installing glass mosaic tile. Both tools made the glass chip so bad, I had to buff them out and still wasn't perfect. It was time consuming and made a mess. Halfway through, I decided to go back to home depot and get this tool. OMG it's amazing!!!! As long as you score each piece in a straight line with pressure, you'll get near perfect cuts. The tool is cheap so if you're worried about it breaking (which it did not for me), buy two. Here is a photo of what took me literally 1 minute to cut 6 pieces. A MUST FOR MOSAIC GLASS TILES.

Broke first time I tried it.
The very first time I tried this in a piece of tile, one of the plastic parts broke in half making it useless! Why would you think plastic would be stronger than tile?

This tool is hard to use, almost impossible to use a straight edge to score a line because the screw and nut holding the cutting wheel sticks out and will hit the straight edge. Had to use freehand and it takes a lot of downward force to score the tile, had to put a rubber pad under the tile to keep it from moving. Bought this because all my cuts were 3/4" or less. Had to use tile nippers a lot to finish cuts. Finished the job, wouldn't recommend for a larger job.

It is very difficult to score as straight line on a tile with this tool. When breaking, it is a random crap shoot whether the ceramic will break in a straight line or very crooked. I went through a bunch of tiles and was down to my last two that needed cutting. I went to a friends house and had him use a tile saw. I should have done that from the beginning.
