This VT1755 is a 3-piece adapter kit that includes a 2-1/2-inch to 1-7/8-inch reducer adapter for a bigger size of hose down to a smaller accessory, 1-7/8-inch to 1-1/4-inch reducer adapter, and the 2-1/2-inch hose to hose connector. This VT1755 is a 3-piece adapter kit that contains 2-1/2-inch to 1-7/8-inch reducer adapter for a bigger size of hose down to a smaller accessory, 1-7/8-inch to 1-1/4-inch reducer adapter, and the 2-1/2-inch hose to hose connector. These adapters are not intended to connect our vac to a power tool. We have a VT1407 Power Tool adaptor that is compatible to our 2-1/2" hoses and fits some RIDGID Power tools that have dust collection ports smaller than 2-1/2 in. Hello, Thanks for writing a review and we’re sorry to have learned your issues. The 3 piece adapter kit comes with 2 reducer which is for 2 1/2" to 1 7/8" accessory and a from a 1 7/8" hose to a 1 /4" accessory. Also, it includes a hose to hose connector which lets you connect 2 2 1/2" diameter hoses together. We would like to know what accessory size you are using and the hose you are using to let us check which accessory or coupler you really be using.
