Customer Reviews for ROMABIO 1 qt. Limewash Toscana Beige Interior/Exterior Paint

This is my second time using the Romabio in Avorio white limewash. The first time was on my brick fireplace. This time I used it on my old stone fireplace. It’s very easy to use. Know the consistency is not like paint, it’s very thin. I found it easiest to apply using foam brushes.

This worked great to cover up our old tired red brick and really helped make our house pop.

Romario totally transformed my fireplace. It was incredibly easy to work with and I loved the colors. I chose the gray and it worked perfectly in our space. It is light, but not a stark white. It wasn’t messy to work with either and 1 quart covered the fireplace from ceiling to floor, including the hearth, I have a little bit left over for any touchups. I may need to do in the future. I highly recommend this and my friends are excited to try it out too now that they saw my project. I did not see a need for the masonry brush because most of the bristles came out , I just use my normal paintbrush on the stone and that worked great.

Used this in Nube Grey with the Romabio masonry brush and it looks amazing!! Was so easy to use and distress with a rag. Obsessed

The product worked very well. Easy to use. I followed the instructions. Everything was going well, Until I remembered, I didn’t spray the brick with water before applying the product. I panicked called t Romabio. The number was on I can, I actually got someone to answer all my questions not an answering machine. He was very helpful assured me I was doing everything OK and in the end, it turned out beautiful. I lime washed my fireplace in about four hours. Home Depot did promise the product to arrive at a certain time and it was like four days late which kind of missed things up. But in the end, I’m happy.

It is messy to apply but the end result is wonderful

I will lead this with the fact that I am not in construction, and I have no artistic or crafty skills. We bought a house that had a partial remodel. The fireplaces didn’t match the cooler tones of the house so I did some research, watched the videos, and decided to try it out. Nothing is usually as ‘easy’ as the videos show…but this was! I love how it came out. Tips: you need to wet it down again if you don’t move fast enough and I used a whisk to make sure it was blended.

I used this on an old stained concrete block wall. This product worked out great! I started with a 2.5 L bucket of Avorio White for about 300 square feet. I didn’t quite get the hang of it - it came out very patchy and too bright. I did a second coat where I mixed 1 2.5 L container of Riposo Biege with a quart of Avorio White and it was perfect when dry. My tip would be to dilute it on the higher end for concrete blocks since they are super porous! Was best @ slightly thinner than paint.

This worked very well to freshen up an old and stained stone fireplace. I used Riposo Beige.

The Romabio Limewash is amazing! We’ve used it on several spaces in our home and patio. It’s so easy to apply and gives the brick a time worn appearance.

So normally I have to do things 3 times before I get it right. With this, I think I got it the 1st time! Really easy to paint on, wipe/spray off & clean up. Im so happy! I used Bianco white as I wanted it the bright white so as to match the walls. It brightened up my whole living room. Definitely the right choice! BTW - I used a quart & have alot left over. $35 paint + an old brush-boom! Saved alot of $

It goes on easy with correct brush. But be careful to not do in the hot Sun as it dries too fast. I was able to power wash it off and fix what I needed to. We mixed it about 50:50 as it didn’t cover the red brick well otherwise. Took way more than we thought it would to do the house but it turned out nice!

My wife and I helped my mom out with this one and I think it came out great! I would however recommend mixing it with a little less water than is called for. This fireplace took the whole .67 Gal and the color was Avorio White. I used a generic deck brush and that seemed to work out very good. A great update for 100 bucks or so.

Love the look of the paint & was easy to use

I LOVE THIS!! Perfect splatters easy so glad l watched YouTube videos and put plastic down. I recommend to stir it every know and then, globs sink to bottom. I used one quart and added two quarts water. First coat over everything then second just on slate. Made grout darker. Only took 3 hours to do. Wish l had done this years ago

I didn’t care for the darker colored stones around our grill. Namely the black and dark terracotta stones. I used the grey lime wash product diluted 1 part product to 8 parts water. I simply dabbed it onto the stone with an old washcloth. It resulted in a less intense appearance which is what I was looking for. Great product.

This stuff was great and easy to work with. It is messy but that's how it goes. Love that it takes a few days to become permanent so you can revisit and adjust based on the different lighting. I used avorio white and it is the perfect neutral white.

Easy to apply and looks great!

This product was great to work with. I (69 year old woman) transformed this 1950's pink cement brick-like but not brick fireplace to a limestone-appearing fireplace. Used Nube Grey all over, then Avario White on the brick only and lightly sponged off some. Under $100. Then, the biggest expense was the granite hearth remnant. I caulked and painted the firebox with heat tolerant paint, repaired the sturdy but dated fir mantle, wrapped with maple veneer, and stained with grey gel stain and topcoat. New modern lights, had the art and statue. Unassuming fire screen. New living room paint. Whole fireplace project was just under $2000 with the granite costing $1,400. Ran the granite into the firebox with a separate piece. Had a fire going this spring and everything works great. This turned out better than I thought it would have. Did all the work myself except setting the heavy granite.

I used the Romario white lime wash to cover an ugly old brick fireplace. It was easy to apply but took some time to store it up when diluted. It came out great!

This line wash treatment was easy to apply with minimal prep and cleanup. I used for an indoor brick fireplace update and achieved the slightly rubbed off look I was hoping for.

We painted our red brick fireplace Nube gray, diluted 50%, and couldn’t be more happy with the results. This paint kept the flat, matte look of natural brick which I loved since I was afraid of it looking painted. The color is modern and warm.
