Perfect product at a great price. Blower works very well and not too loud. Use mostly for patio and walkways so I can’t speak for blowing leaves on grass.

Beware of 5 Star ratings from new owners or Promotional Reviews. I too loved this blower. Used weekly during mowing season. Perfect power for general homeowner & variable speed was a plus. A 5 STAR rating for sure!! Uhhhh.....until last week. A fan blade broke off, jamming up the motor. Another blade is cracked. It was treated well & looks new. Seems to be a common blade breakage issue. See other reviews. Can you afford to spend $150+ for just 2 years of use? Did Ryobi put looks over quality??

I used this blower around the house for 1 1/2 years with no problem. When it ran good, I loved it. Then the blower fan literally shattered into little pieces while using. Then I found out that the 3 year warranty doesn't include blower fans. Then I tried ryobitools.com to find parts for it and got a Error 404 message on their website. Then I tried calling Ryobi Tools and never got through to anything but hold music for an hour. Do you really want to buy this? I don't think I would again.

I own a cordless Ryobi circular saw and it only made sense since my next two purchases besides the blower is going to be the Ryobi weed wacker. Lots of batteries to have ready to get the job done. Very easy out of box experience, only one tube to attach with little effort. Charge the battery and go go go… I’m impressed with the air flow, the ease of handling, how lite it is in my hand. It easily worked the dry leaves, and yes the wet ones too. Go for the purchase, it wont disappoint.

I have been wanting a leaf blower for some time. The thought of a rechargeable battery was appealing. I got onboard with the Ryobi 18v power tools. Having said that, I already had two 18v batteries ready to go from the start. I headed outside to see how it worked. Right off, I appreciated the weight and handling. It seems to be properly balanced. At this time, my yard has dry leaves, so I have not tested it's effectiveness on damp leaves. I was also pleased with the power and force in which it worked. About half way through the enclosed picture, the first battery died. Then I stopped when the second battery died as well. These were fully charged and only used twice before batteries. I am not mad about it though. I knew it would be an issue going in. If I wanted full service , I should get a gas one and I can get it all in one shot. Instead, I think that they focus too much on the power and strength , without considering the power supply. It simply draws too much power to be in the 18v category. It might be better served in the 40v 4ah class. That is what my mower has. I did buy this as the tool only. If I had bought the version with two more batteries and a charger, I would've been upset about the cost and performance.As long as you are not expecting perfection, you should be reasonably happy. Plan ahead for larger jobs though.

Not long after purchase several of the fan blades broke free from the inner turbine. Since the turbine was rotating very fast the broken pieces destroyed the remaining fan blades. Now the fan spins but there is nothing left to push air out of the blower. All this happened inside the fan area. NOTHING external could have damaged the fan blades as they are all inside the protected area of the turbine. This HAS to be just poor quality of manufacturing. Ryobi products are usually better than this.

Into my third year of owning this blower and some internal plastic fan blades broke off today. The blower was used to blow lawn trimmings from mowing and edging off the sidewalk and driveway once a week during mowing season. I never worked it hard and it still breaks. The blower will have to be trashed as the unsteady fan now badly vibrates the whole blower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a great leaf blower, but it chews through the smaller batteries we have pretty quickly. You need the larger 4A+, 18V batteries to really get much use out of it.

Although this blower is very convinced, it does not seem as powerful.

I was tired of struggling with buying gas and oil in my gas powered unit so I switched over to the battery unit, since all my other tools are Ryobi with the battery pack. Actually used the same one at my sons house and had to have one!

I purchased this blower, allowed a full charge and it barely lasted to blow my front yard. The part that tightens and holds the hand in place broke off the same day. This was the first od two blowers that I purchased within two days. The second was the RYOBIONE+ 18V 90 MPH 200 CFM Cordless Battery Leaf Blower/Sweeper with 2.0 Ah Battery and Charger. Exact same issue...I'm done with Ryobi!

I've had mine for 1 season. My yard is small. Usually use it twice a week for lawn and trimming. Use much more during leaf season. Near end of 1st year August. One fin on the fan just broke off. It blew out of the tube. Will need to crazy glue it. Time will tell how long it will last. So I bought the exact same make and model. Now I have 2. Good luck with yours. I love the power mine delivers.

Was working fine for the first two years. While using the plastic propeller fins broke off and scattered everywhere, WEAR SAFETY GLASSES while using this unit. Disappointed that it broke after such a short time.

Basically, it's a turbine fan moving the air and if it's not perfectly balanced it will make a ton of noise which it does within weeks, hurts my ears to use it. Called Ryobi Canada and could not get a hold of them. Took it back to Home Depot and they wanted a receipt. Who keeps a receipt? I have 30 Ryobi tools, the box and receipt get dumped after using it for 3-4 times. Don't waste your money, and if you do, keep the receipt ;)

I run the leaf blower for about 20 minutes and the lights go down to 2 lights and run dead within 30 minutes , using the turbo button here and there within that 30 minutes. I will buy a gas powered tool next time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in a snowy part of the world I have to go through the time consuming chore of brushing off snow from my car & using a paint brush to clear areas out like charge ports from freezing up. This small powerful leaf blower totally blasts off snow from every crevice, clearing my car of snow in 3 mins versus 20 mins with brushes. In the summer I plan to use this drying my car from washing, avoiding swirl marks from microfiber towels. Highly recommend getting this with the battery included, the 4Ah stores enough power so that you don't have to keep recharging. High recommended, great build quality!

Tried both new n a refurbished. Both batteries didn't last long. This blower works well if you want to clean/blow leaves on the concrete, small sized walkway. It will not do a good job if your leaves are on the grass. Don't recommend it if you have a yard with mostly grass. I recommend a electric plug in one or gas power. Batteries are expensive to replace.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am own a Ryobi 40v backpack blower which is powerful even for the wet leaves. But I am 5 ft tall and 40v backpack blower is too big and heavy for me sometimes. I do need a lighter blower that would be easy to access for narrow areas. This Jet Fan Blower is perfect for me. Easy to carry around and lighter but still pretty powerful for my yard work, clean the car and garage. I am happy to use this blower.

I like this blower because it's easy to modulate the air flow with the variable speed trigger from a whisper to gently move leaves to full bore for heavier objects. However, I had to get this as a replacement for an earlier identical blower which threw a turbine blade. I think this may be a potential weak point due to the blade being made of ABS and the flexing of the blade from pressure changes during the accelerating/decelerating of the fan eventually leads to fatigue and failure. This would likely not happen if this was a single speed blower.

Poorly manufactured. The clear plastic tabs on the upper blower housing don't even come close to latching the black blower tube extension, which keeps falling off when I attempt to use it.
