I had to cut a 1/2 galvanized steel pipe in a wall. Pipe was left there after a copper replumb job. There wasn't enough room for my Sawzall. I first tried my corded Craftsman multitool but the blade kept slipping. Then used this Ryobi multitool. It performed very well. Using a carbide blade it cut the pipe in about 5 minutes. This is a keeper.

First one stopped working after a few days of use. Could be a one off and because I liked the overall ease of use, have ordered a replacement, . Will provide another feedback depending on how the replacement turns out.

this is a great tool for tight spots and has the power you need. quick n easy when use with the right blade.

I was only using the tool for around 10 minutes and it’s stopped working

Stopped oscillating after about 12 minutes. I returned it within two hours for a refund. Disappointed with the fact that my original lasted more than eight years.

Tool malfunctioned after just a few hours of use. The motor would turn on but there was no power when pushed on the product. Sent it to Ryobi. Came back in the same shape. Sent it back again. This time it was returned in good shape. But it stopped working again while trimming drywall. Exact same issue. Turns on but no power. I have lots of Ryobi products and will by more, but this is by far the worst.

I purchased the RYOBI multitool because I was laying flooring and needed it to trim the base of a few door frames. I have several other RYOBI tools and already had several batteries which helped make the decision to go with this tool. I’ve used it maybe 10 times while laying the floor and it was excellent. Easy to use and more than enough power to get the job done on the setting of 4 (goes up to 6 I believe). I’ve only used the one 18v 4ah battery with it and still have plenty batteries left. Time will tell how the durability is with it, but so far it’s been well worth the money.

Just something that will help me do repairs around my house.

Seems to do a great job!

Found it difficult to load and/or reload blades. Returned tool.
