Fork snapped off just below the handle on the first use. Tools are supposed to break at the handle so you could replace it. Don’t recommend.

I picked this one since it was heavier and wider which makes stepping on it much easier. I wanted to aerate my backyard which has some hard spots and the grass was not growing very well and the sturdiness and weight really helps to break through hard soil. The diamond shaped tings are great as well. Extremely happy I chose this one despite being a bit more expensive. Assembled in USA and made of American wood. Nice hometown choice.

I really dig this new tool and didn’t need to fork over much cabbage for this quality garden implement, which was a better quality than expected.

I like this fork! It's solidly built with a steel/wooden D-handle, and sells for only a few dollars more than the cheap versions with plastic handles. It came with the typical varnish on the wood, which I sanded off and replaced with some BLO. Both my wife and I have used it around the yard and garden, and so far, it's done an outstanding job. It's easy to handle and strong, and it breaks up soil and turns compost easily. Highly recommend!

This is a very nice and well made tool. It did exactly what I wanted it for, plus found the drip system supply line by piercing it. Hole in line was just perfect and easy to repair with slip fit union....LOL

I've been sent this review questionnaire before I've had time...
I've been sent this review questionnaire before I've had time to extensively use the fork. I'm not sure how users of such a tool can give a useful review without time enough to see how it stands up to all circumstances, but here's the best I can respond:This is the 3-piece attachment type where the the fork inserts into the lower end of the handle and is held secure with a metal cap that extends partially up the handle. overall, it's a very poor design. That said however, this seems to be one of the better models of this style. The fork is fairly sturdy, and the handle also appears to be acceptable. But here's the rub... the force on a digging fork is a pulling motion which puts the stress precisely where the fork attaches to the handle. Sure it seems fine now (I dug a bed of potatoes and it preformed well,) but only over time can the user be sure that the area of attachment will resist being wallowed out - the most common failure with this style tool. This is definitely better than the models kept stocked in-store. Please do not waste your money on those. You'll immediately see the difference. Those look like beach toys. Short of ordering from an online source, I could not find the better-designed, 2-piece style where the handle slides down into a one piece, forged sleeve/fork end (designed like a shovel.) So far it seems to be an acceptable compromise between the better design, and price. Time will tell.

This Razorback 4-tine spading fork is a product of the Ames Companies. It's assemble in the USA from foreign and domestic components. It has four diamond shaped metal tines and boy are they stout! As is the 30 inch American Hardwood handle; again, really, really stout. It weighs 4.7 pounds. It's like a many pitch fork that works great for loosening up the soil or moving mulch from the wheel barrow to the ground for spreading. I've only had a few opportunities to use it so far, but it's been very impressive little jewel to use so far. I only wish I had gotten one of these years ago.

Utilized in preparing flower and garden beds this fall. Construction seems quite sturdy. Longevity will be determined over the next several seasons, it is not as well made as another 4-time fork that I have that was made several years ago but should perform well. D handle construction makes operation fairly comfortable, foot rests are large enough for most shoe sizes for ease of operation.

We live in a really old neighborhood with massive walnut trees that drop all kinds of things in the fall, raking has always been a huge pain because of that, however this fork makes quick work of any pile that you need moved. Also it works really well in the garden too. The overall size is just right (even for my husband who is 6'3"). The weight also seems really well balanced.

Received the 4-TINE DIGGING FORK about 3 weeks ago and was able to put it to work this pass week, I have never used a digging fork before, wish I had known about them years ago. I have a very over grown garden that has not been weeded out or touch all spring or summer, so kind of hesitate to put my hands in there with snakes all around. I used the digging fork with great ease, it is very strong and had no problems digging down to get the weeds out. I would recommend this product.

Useful, well made, heavy duty tool Have used garden forks for years for potatoes, beets, and other tubers. My first was over 40 years old when I inherited it. Over the years 1940 steel did wear, and this was its replacement. The handle is long enough for me at 6'2". The fork itself is a bit broader than my last and it digs so well, new digging is easier as I can add body weight Fork is strong, handle is well secured in the fork and handle . Well designed, and works great. Highly recommend

I am impressed with this digging fork. The tines are wider than many others I have looked at which gives them more digging power, especially when trying to turn over garden soil. I live in an area with heavy clay soil which is also full of rocks, so it is easy to snap off the tines on a poorer quality fork. This fork performs very well. I highly recommend it.

Perfect tool for its intended use. We typically use a pitch fork to turn the soil in our garden and this digging fork is so much better. It is well made and is a good length. The tines are heavy and strong enough to turn the soil without bending. It is well balanced - heavy enough to dig the soil but not so heavy that it wears you out. We should have gotten one of these years ago.
