This kit helped me sharpen my manual mower and keep it going for another few years. Easy instructions to follow. Took me just one hour.

the included brush needs to have a solution to soak it in after using it. Paint thinner, or maybe just wash with dish detergent.

Assembly was easy and works great no need to sharpen blades mower once assembled is ready to use,

Followed the directions and it was easy and worked perfectly. Mower is as sharp as the professional jobs I have had done in the past.

Works as advertised

Be careful when you open the container of abrasive. It splashes and pours like water. I was expecting a thicker consistency and spilled some when opening it. The crank handle could use a little more offset to provide more leverage as the reel became difficult to turn when first applying the abrasive. With use of this, I was able to hone the reel and bottom blade enough to overcome a slight bend in the bottom blade. The mower now cuts accross the full width without leaving an uncut strip in the middle.

It really did work. The next time I am going to adjust the mower blade height to get a more advanced sharpening. But yes, the sharpened blade really enhanced the cut.

Very difficult to use; instructions not sufficient for the non-handy person. Have been afraid to start the process.

My reel mower had never really worked. I sent it to a recommended sharpener-person. It came back no better than when I sent it out. This kit, along with a youtube video that I found, made sharpening it an easy task and now the mower works perfectly.

Easy to use. Improved performance of old push mower. Will last for years as you don't use very much each time you sharpen the blades.

This kit did exactly as it needed to - sharpened my mower and now it cuts grass again.

Worked amazing on first try. Like a brand new mower.

I followed the directions. I was able to take off one wheel and put the wheel back on.The blades seem to cut better.

You had to take mower apart and it did not seem to apply to mower I bought. Instructions were hard to understand and seemed more complicated than necessary.

Sharpening kit works as expected. Make sure to sharpen your mower outside and near a hose because you will need some water pressure to rinse off the sharpening compound. I have noticed that cutting the grass has become easier now that the blades have been sharpened.

Excellent Instructions, detailed and clear. Price of kit ($15.00) is less than cost of having it sharpened by someone else. Easy to do yourself. Takes 15 minutes. If you sharpen once a year, I think the compound will be enough to last 10 years.

I am already bragging about this product to my friends and neighbors I have a seven blade reel lawn mower I used this on. I am happy with the results.

With this kit, I was not able to sharpen the blade to be as good as new, but this certainly improved the edge.

Hard to find someone to sharpen a reel mower anymore so I bought this to do it myself. It's certain cheaper than taking it to someone else and sharpens just as good.

This thing does what it is supposed to do. And good instructions are included. But it is a workout: when the mower "knife" is adjusted properly against the mower blades for sharpening, there is the necessary slight contact with the knife needed to allow the abrasive compound to sharpen the blades. And that contact creates a resistance that is TOUGH with the hand-crank for the 7-10 minutes recommended in the instructions. So I'll be using the compound, but with a half-inch drill instead of the hand-crank.

Worked better than I EXPECTED. This solves the only problem: not many shops sharpen these mowers, and those that do charge an arm and a leg. Manual reel mores really are better, if you have less than half an acre.
