We have had the softener for 2 weeks. The package was a bit damaged but the product was fine. It was easy to install and works perfectly. Love the color and the modern design. Top cover is secure and it is easy to load the salt. It met my expectations and the price was unbeatable.

Easy installation and set up. I had ordered another brand which was more expensive, and it was much more difficult to install. I returned the expensive one and purchased this Rheem model.

This new water softener failed and leaked water all over my garage. They sent a replacement which was damaged in shipping (not their fault). However, they took 1 year to send me all the parts to fix the issue after finding one problem after another. The customer support line is horrible and they will hang up after you have been on hold for awhile. Find another company.

This replaced a 10 yo GE GXSF30V that developed a crack in the tank and is an exact replacement - I didn't use the bypass valve last time and reused the straight plastic fittings to the softener. The last softener had both options, this one does not and only has the bypass/mixing valve. I have a separate bypass. I had tried to revamp the GE, but it was too far gone. The nice thing is the fitting height and spacing is the same as previous, so it took no time to swap in.

I have had two "high dollar" water softners in the past 22 years. Our most recent one stopped working and I found this Rheem product. Given the reputation of Rheem and the reviews, I thought I would buy this unit given the thousands of dollars I would save compared to the models offered by the "Softer Companies." I decided to have it installed by a plumber and it works GREAT! My water feels softer and the water actually tastes better than it ever has in my home. DEFINITELY recommend!

Do not buy!!!!! less than 2 years and tank bottle split like all other reviews. :-(

Solved all of our problems

Good product. Zero customer support from Home Depot. Got pawned off to other vendors charging trying to talk me into products costing more than ten times as much. Had to do my own research to find a reputable, experienced installer. Not a do-it-yourslef installation for the unintiated..

So far so good. Easy to install. Would recommend.

Worked out great. Was able to make a better installation than the old one. Water is soft and softener is much easier to maintain than before.

First one broke at tank flange. They did replace it for free. Second one leaks at bypass valve. These are the same problems everyone is having with this product.

Have the 42k on a 2 bath house on well water with 3 people living. Had the unit 3 weeks still have hard water and smelly well water after every shower. Will attempt to return.

The unit was just installed. I was disappointed that the directions for operating the unit were not included. Also, the lighting on the cover and inside the unit is poor.

The Rheem water softener was a great choice in replacing my old, broken unit. This was easy to install, well constructed and my favorite feature is the blue staus light on top. The blue light will blink when the salt level is getting near end level.

The sales associate was very knowledgeable and helpful, as for the product it wasn’t to hard to replace, they have improved the quality of the units comparing them to 20 yrs ago, the lights on the inside where the salts are is a big plus, the new shape of the unit is great, overall I would recommend.

I purchased this unit twice. Both times the seal inside it has given out the first time it flooded my basement and cost me 30k in damages. This time I caught early with a water leak detector. Same exact issue. This is ridiculous do not buy this unit. The WiFi piece went out the second time as well so I couldn’t monitor any flow or be alerted to any water leaks replaced motherboard it did nothing. Stay away from this unit I gave it a second chance and regret it.

No more water stains on my stainless steel sink. Clean hair with way less shampoo. Laundry is cleaner . Whent 3 week without a softener, so happy with the Rheem 32.
