Instructions are excellent (native English), good diagrams. Looked easy. I got stuck at #9 "Remove Burner/Pilot Assembly". I could not remove it. The top of the burner is 1/4" too tall for the opening with the assembly face plate touching the ground. The lip of my pan will also block it from coming out. I would have to raise or tilt the 120# w.h.. I'd have to take off inlet pipe, overflow piping, and exhaust. Maybe newer models have fixed it. Mine: 2010 GE Ultra Low NOx 6 yr, CG40T06TXK00

Works great, easy installation. The replacement part is a better design than the original. Thermostat bulb is placed in a more functional position. This design should have originally been used. The Rheem technician also confirms, that current design is better suited than the original.

Excellent replacement and works very well. Better and simple than the original pilot light in design. It is genuine Rheem part.

The common advice of replacing the thermocouple with a universal part didn’t work. Calling Rheem tech support to get the exact part number and replacing the pilot assembly did.

It did not resolve my problem. Burner has to manually be started daily

I ordered the part, picked it up after it was shipped to our local store, went home and opened the box only I find that the actual pilot assembly was missing from the box. The only thing that was in the box was the insulation, screws, and mounting bracket. Thanks for wasting my time Home Depot.

I had Serial number , Model number , Watts and parts but they can't provide the parts without me pulling them out of the heater and trying to match them in the store . So basically I need to remove parts or Hot water heater and carry into store just to get a heating element . Stupid .

they forgot to include the pilot. whole reason I bought the kit. Not to mention, I had to wait 30 days for in-store pickup. Worthless purchase, so I returned and purchased from the manufacturer.

It is a pleasure to have nice hot water again.

The set fit my water heater perfectly. Make sure you call to ensure that you order the right part. Only 4 stars because it took so long to get it. I would have paid extra for overnight shipping. I spent a week without hot water.

This kit came with everything you might need and solved the problem I was having with the burner not lighting uniformly.

Arrived later than expected, and since I paid an additional 16 dollars in shipping to get it in by a certain date, I wasn’t super happy that it was delayed several days. Other than that it was the right part and fit just right.

Rheem/GE Water Heaters . This is the 4th pilot kit that had to be replaced the last few years. Even call Rheem for some assistance on this part since I had so much Trouble and no help. Even when thay know there's is a Problem with the pilot assy. Wish I had never purchased this GE Water Heater.
