Hi Kel.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are always looking for ways to improve our neighbor's experience, and your feedback is an invaluable part of this process. That is why we are dedicated to offering devices that help you safeguard what is most important at home, while also allowing you to connect with your neighbors from anywhere.
The Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.) was designed with customizable alert settings and the ability to be adjusted according to your needs. For more information on how to customize alerts and notifications, please visit this link: https://ring.com/support/articles/6od7o/Enabling-Customizing-Notifications-for-Ring-Devices.If you do not wish to receive notifications for motion events, simply toggle off the "Motion Alerts" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is picking up too much motion, we recommend lowering the "Motion Sensitivity" under the "Motion Settings" tab. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This also includes changing the "Motion Frequency" to "Regularly" or "Periodically" in the Ring app. For more information on optimizing motion detection using "Motion Frequency," please visit this link: https://ring.com/support/articles/9m71f/Optimizing-Motion-Alerts-with-Motion-Frequency.

Thank you,
