Disappointed
I have these solar pathway lights in both the front and back yard. I live in Florida and now that the weather is getting warm, I’m constantly getting warning messages that several of lights are too hot and are going into sleep mode until they cool off. This is very unnerving! I will not do a replacement in kind because of the battery issue. I’ll wait and see how the new 4x D battery ones work out.

Look nice but batteries do not last
Nice simple design that looks great.
But the batteries do not last and Ring will not sell just the battery.
Their support response is that batteries are available elsewhere and yes they are, except the OEM Ring battery is a long version of the 18650 as they are actually 68mm instead of 65mm as an 18650 should be.
As a result, the aftermarket batteries do not make contact with the terminals unless you try and stretch the spring at the negative terminal, which doesn't last and the light is junk.

Great size and sturdy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This light is of great quality, everything usually expected from the Ring products, the only downside is the price of the item and how many of them you need to have a proper illumination for an outdoor setting. Overall a good product.

Perfect for long driveway
I have bought four pathlights so far. My driveway is almost 200 feet length which impossible to hook up the electrical wiring to hook up all the way to the street. also, if you live in sun zone which will help to recharge the pathlight during the clear weather day. I will buy more pathlights when they have more in stock in the store since I prefer to buy in store. Also, pathlights will provide alert when something is coming.

Expensive battery replacement
$29.99 for a replacement battery on Ring website. That’s almost as much as the light. Had the light less than a year and battery is already dead and I refuse to pay for a new light or overpriced battery. What’s the marketing angle here, Ring? Fool me once, shame on you….you know the rest.

These work really well and were easy to set up. Only concern I have is the plastic in ground posts … should be a bit longer and stronger - hoping they hold up with our tough New England weather.

Batteries don’t stay charged
Need full sun to charge. Don’t operate below 36°F
Really nice light but I can’t spend this much time babysitting them! Offline AGAIN!!! Charging again!

Nice bright light when motion detected. Lights can stay on at low or be turned off all together and come on with motion. Very nice lights just what I was looking for. Easy setup just follow directions on the app but also take the time to charge the lights with the cable provided before first use.

Functional & Bright Light
I have a ton of Ring lighting, and purchased this Pathlight to illuminate a walkway in front of my yard's side gate in a portion of my yard that is not wired for low voltage lighting. Does the job beautifully, and links up with my other lights to trigger them when motion is detected, etc.

Can’t replace battery
Every half a year they die and there is nothing that you can do, just to buy a new one, that is just ridiculous, can’t buy a new battery to replace it either. Not worth it for the price. I getting rid of them for good and buying a low voltage ones.

Very easy to put together and to add this device...
Very easy to put together and to add this device in the Ring app. I used this Ring Pathway near the front walkway of my house to trigger the Ring A19 bulb that is installed in our porch light by the front door. The Ring door camera had a delay turning on this light. Now the pathway light lights up only during the evening and also turns on the Ring A19 bulb. These are in the same Ring group in the app. Working great sofar.

Do not buy. This product will stop working.
I bought 8 of these and surely they all stopped working after a month. They get direct sunlight since I live in California. The rechargeable better in these does not work. You can’t buy a replacement better, because ring does not sell them. Do you research. If you search up battery problems with the solar lights, you will see a lot of people are having this issue.

Check your batteries.
Check your Auto Shut Off control in your device controls in the Ring app. You may have incorrectly set the time on the control.

Check your Auto Shut Off control in your device controls in the Ring app. You may have incorrectly set the time on the control.
