Beautifull color. Exacto dame on picture.

We have painted a lot of furniture before and have not had these results. After shaking the can a lot and stirring well, we applied first coat. Came out streaky and worst of all, the color dried super light. Nothing like the picture, looks like light grey. This is not charcoal!

The charcoal color looks like a black in the picture, but it isn’t. I bought it and painted a chair. After two coats, it’s still a grey color. If you’re looking for black, don’t buy this one. The coverage and “chalk” texture was good though.

Purchased to repaint 3 pieces of old wooden bedroom furniture. Used the clear matte topcoat as well. Great coverage and really pleased with the results.

Loved this glaze. Really enhanced my cabinet. Easy to use

First time using chalk paint. Had to make an at home office and this took a cheap Facebook market desk and made it great. I have now done a set of nightstands too. A little goes a long way. Don’t expect this to not have a little bleed thru that’s how chalk paint looks. I am very happy with this product.

I have an old cherry dresser I've now spent hours on with this paint. 4 coats to finally get a decent white that isn't bleeding the original color through everywhere, which took the entire can of paint btw. Beforehand I lightly sanded the furinture, cleaned it with mineral spirits, cleaned it with soapy water, and clean it with water 2x as per instructions. When I finally applied the clear coat, it thinned out the base coat and the cherry wood is showing through again. Its just trash. Do your research and use real paint and prep methods to get a good outcome. This has been a huge waste of time and money.

I decided to try this product on my dining set and it turned out beautifully. Very easy to apply, no sanding needed. Drys fast and coat well. My only negative would be when I tried the add the top coat it dried a yellowish color on the table top,, so I had to add a 3rd coat. I would caution using the top coat on certain types of wood. It was fine on the hutch and chairs, but not the table top. Overall very happy with this product.

Little better than most, be nice to make an EXTERIOR clear sealer in latex, I make birdhouses out of recycled wood, and use Thompson’s sealer it’s just more of a penetrating sealer, whereas I need a surface sealer, because I use the existing finish, in most cases it’s naturally distressed, crackled.

Was perfect look over the grey painted cabinets. Love how my cabinets came out!

I have had excellent luck with chalk paint in general. I have used top of the line Annie Sloan’s product to refinish my kitchen cabinets (two years later and they still look exquisite) and cheap Folk Art paint from Michaels on everything from my kitchen table to bedside lamps. Again, these finishes have held up for years and have withstood constant use and abuse. When I went to paint the floors of my unused rec-room, I thought I would give the Rustoleum product a try. While far more expensive than some of the chalk paints I’ve used, I saw it as an affordable alternative to the Annie Sloan products. It has been an absolute disaster! My floors chipped and peeled within a day and has continued to worsen over the past weeks. I am an expert at application by now, both in chalk paint application as well as the sealing process. At the very least, I would like my money back for the product. I’m not really sure what to do about my ruined floors.

We have used Rustoleum products in the past with beautiful results including the cabinet refinishing system. Those experiences, unfortunately, led me to trust this particular product by Rustoleum. After getting approval from my mom to restore her grandmother’s piano, I spent days painstakingly sanding and prepping before applying two coats of the Rustoleum brand Linen White chalk paint. The goal was to make the outside of my great grandmother’s piano as beautiful as she sounds. She did look absolutely beautiful... until I applied the “Clear” matte topcoat as directed hoping to protect the work I had so carefully done...and it turned the piano a hideous urine yellow! It also removed areas of the chalk paint of the same brand and cracked the paint! You’d think I coated it with mineral spirits and urine not a so-called clear protective topcoat! I will NEVER use this topcoat again nor recommended it’s use to anyone. I now have to completely sand her down and start all over again! I guess that’s what I get for trying to save time and choosing this garbage over tried and true furniture wax! I would give the matte clear protective topcoat zero stars if I could! Livid does not even begin to explain how upset I am!

Finally got to use this spray paint and it didn’t disappoint. Provided coverage with just one coat and left no marks behind. This ia my go to spray paint.

The project was tedious and challenging but totally worth it. Steps I used are as follows (with lots of drying time in between): sand the tile with 150 grit sandpaper, deep clean, caulk the grout lines to disguise flaws (we had a lot of cracks in grout, 2 coats of Kilz bonding primer, 3 coats of base gray chalk paint, 1 coat of linen white chalk paint, then fine paint detailing to make the edges sharper since some of the paint bleeds through the stencil (I used a clean old makeup brush). I finished up with 3 coats of Satin finish polyurethane to protect everything. I used spray glue to try and prevent bleeding by spraying the stencil, then rolling on the white paint. Even though I used gorilla spray glue, I had some bleeding so I used the makeup brushes to clean up the edges. The glue was helpful; when I tried without it, the bleeding was much worse. Toward the end, I cut the Nagoya Tile Stencil to make getting around the nooks and crannies easier. If you have a little space you might want to buy two so you have one to trim down.

Another addition to my collection of Rust-Oleum products. Watched a video of a young lady working with it and bought it that day. This product was the easiest to work with and cleanup a breeze. I got the depth of color I needed. Used an antique wax to seal it. Perfect. You'll love the texture and consistency.

I used this to farmhouse my grandmothers antique cherry table. I love it.

Covers well with 1-2 coats and leaves a flawless matte finish.

This is the first time I tried a chalk paint and thought my project turned out good. I painted a vanity that belonged to my grandmother. I have not tried other brands so I have nothing to compare it against. I was a little scared after applying the first coat because it looked so bad I thought it was ruined. But after applying another coat and some sanding I was happy with the results.

I have this chalk paint in a few different colors. It is simply amazing! I wish they made the country gray in a latex, so i could paint my walls with it. The white is my go to for cabinets.

I painted my kitchen cabinets with the chaulk paint. It was fast and easy to work with. The results were beautiful!

This paint had a nice consistency, when on smooth and dries to a nice matte finish. Other famous chalk paints are a little to chalky then had to buy several more product to try to get a smooth finish. I have bought this paint for several projects. The price is much better than the famous brand.

Love this paint! I have used it for two projects to far – our bedroom furniture and kitchen table and chairs. It's held up well and was easy to use. I did our kitchen table and chairs over a year ago and have been so pleased with it. The bedroom furniture has been my most recent project. Little prep work and good coverage. Easy to get that rustic worn out look as well. I've used two coats on these projects and also used the Rust-Oleum Clear Matte coat for added protection. I will always use and recommend this product for any chalk paint projects!

I made a farmhouse table and the paint was the perfect choice. The look and smooth texture offset the stained wood top and shelf.

I thought it did a wonderful job. I am very pleased with the results. I replaced the blue boxes with white ones, looks much better.

Product was easy to use. And finished look really was like chalk. My furniture became new and beautiful. Highly recommend it.

I wanted to post a picture along with my review to show the clumping that was mixed al through out the can. The clumping was if the lid had been left off or the product was very old. The application in the photo was before it was spread thinly across the door.
