Is ridged & strong! Works well and exactly what I wanted for a decent price… Highly recommend! It helped my project go up fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I love the size. It fits on a belt or nicely in a jacket pocket, or in the cup holder of my SUV. Secondly, the magnet tip is super strong and is a nice addition to a tape measure. Great for doing jobs solo, and/or you don’t have your kid readily available to hold the tip to get the exact right measurement. Also, the fractional read makes it easy to record precise cuts. Great for us who are blessed in mathematical fortitude. Overall, super happy with this tape measure so far, and will likely buy another. Happy measuring!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm impressed with my Stanley Leverlock Tape Measure. It is incredibly sturdy, I don't feel like it will break easily if it falls during a job. This tape measure feels comfortable in my hand, and has a good strong magnet for when I use it on metal. The tape pulls out easily and quickly retracts with the push of a button. It definitely helps to make my job a little easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this tape measure for a few weeks now and it is BY FAR the best tape measure I have ever owned. It is a very high quality tool - it's got a good weight to it, easy to hold and use, and overall feels as though it will last. the magnet is strong, and the tape is accurate. The lock holds well and takes a good amount of force to press. The only thing I could complain about is that the tape took a few days of use to retract past 3 feet without assistance. It will easily bring the tape in under 3 feet, but needed a little help with anything over that. It is now bringing it in without issue at all lengths. Overall this is a great tool and is worth every penny! This is the last tape measure I will buy for a while.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this tape because of the fact that it has the fractions already marked which I believe helps make accuracy as simple as a direct read caliper. It has a good heft to it, and the leverlock works great and seems more secure and easier to use. The magnet at the tip and the blade hook work excellent. One thing about the magnet on the tip however, it will tend to pick up iron particles in dirt, in the shop and just about anywhere that it comes in contact with the ground. That however is more than compensated for by the fractional markings, the usual markings for standard stud placement, and the good anti-glare finish on the blade itself. So the magnet is just a minor annoyance compared to its usefulness. One suggestion I might make is to replace the upper markings with metric ones - that would make this truly an all-in-one tape for practically any use. It's a great tape that I would recommend to anyone, amateur and professional alike.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 25 foot tape measure is great. The measure has a leverlock on the bottom which makes for easy one hand operation. The lock is on bottom of the tape measure it is the best. The tape has great print easy to read and has a curve to it that adds stiffness to the tape and the magnetic tip can be yse to great effect over the length of the tape, the magnetic strength is fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ABS frame feels durable, yet lightweight and it's very easy to grip without accidentally pressing the release to retract the tape. I LOVE the LeverLock tape measure. The lever lock type doesn't require sliding a brake button to keep the tape extended; you simply extend however much tape you need, and it stays out until you press the retract button and the spring pulls it back in. Nice thick steel with a good coating; I can extend the tape 8-10 feet before it folds from it's weight. The fractional scale and markings are exceptionally well printed and easy to read and the yellow paint feels like it won't flake off easily. If you need a tape measure for woodwork, building, crafts and around the house I wouldn't hesitate on buying this tape measure. Absolutely worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work mostly with wood, both in the shop and out in the field. Rarely do I need to measure anything beyond 25 ft. So this tape is the perfect size for an all day carry, either in my tool belt or easily on my pants belt. I have never had a problem with figuring out the fractional increments of an inch but I do think it’s nice that Stanley put them on this tape. Also, the magnetic end is handier than I initially thought it would be. If I worked with metal more regularly, I’d probably get more use out of it, but sure does come in handy when I’m on top of a 10-12 foot wall and I drop something metallic on the ground. It’s a pretty strong magnet on the end of the tape. Overall, a great tape. Only one negative is that it doesn’t have as far as a “standout” ad the Stanley 25’ fat max (about 10’) this tape has a standout of about 6.5’. No big deal, sometimes it just nice shoot your tape out 10’ to the end of a board or wall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great quality tape measure that is affordably priced. Stanley has always been my brand of choice when it comes to tape measures. This tape measure is very easy to read and has a fractional scale for a more accurate reading. I love that it stretches out to almost 7' without support, allowing you to complete jobs without the assistance of another. The magnetic tip has come in handy when working with sheet metal in my garage. Being a long term user of Stanley tapes, it's great to see that they are constantly working to make their products the best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was just another Tape Measure, boy was I wrong. It turns out that this made my life a whole lot easier. It comes out and stays out making it super simple for one person to use even over long runs. It is easy to reel in with one hand too. The detailed increments help to make sure you have the right measurement every time. I can't recommend this enough, it saved me so much time while building my wife two new desks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After owning two Fat Maxes with the traditional locking mechanism, I borrowed a co-worker’s lever lock and enjoyed using it. Then not a week later, I had an opportunity to test out the lever lock as part of Stanley’s product reviews program and it’s now my go-to tape measure at work (auto repair and general tasks related to the office and shop). It’s a comfortable size and weight for 25 feet and both the lever lock and magnetic tip are the main selling points. (Very) minor nitpicks: 1. The magnet s strong enough to not separate from the metal surface it is attached to, but it will turn slightly as you continue to step away from the attachment point and extend the tape. Not a big deal. It doesn’t move so it’s still the correct distance being measured. Update: only with certain thicker coatings and non-smooth surfaces. Probably a nonissue 90% of time. 2. It’s easier to pull the tape further out when the lever is locked than on a traditional tape measure, but it still holds well enough that you should not encounter any issues during normal use. Overall a very nice tape measure and you will not be disappointed if you’re a fan of the lever lock style (it’s hard not to be once you use one!). You will not be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A couple months ago I got it to replace my old one. The fact that had a magnet was important because I work a lot by myself at home, and that helps me deal better with measurements. The Quality is outstanding.

A great tape measure and very affordable not a huge fan of the lever lock feature but there are times when it came in handy. The magnetic end turned out to be more of a hassle than a benefit. Not very durable but for the price it's a good deal.

Good product easy read strong magnet and divide in fractions

I am extremely happy with this product. As far as quality and price, it can't be beaten. Woodworkers and woodpeckers (that deal with carpenter ants) should not be without it. The highly visible fraction marks makes it easy for professionals and less-than-genius handymen, like myself, to get the job done right. A great asset/tool to stick in your tool-belt when you've got a project to do around the house - whether it be large or small.

When the tape is pulled out more 18 inches, the tape collapses and will not stay extended. The tape will not stay extended without bending toward the floor when measuring a doorway or window, for example. Avoid.

Purchased this tape measure for home use around 9 months ago. (June 2017) The red scale and numbers have rubbed off already from when the tape is retracted. The lever brake rubs them off. Not cool!!

It's excellent

This is a great tape measure, for those of us who don't see well this is great this is great, having the factional division wrote down on the tape it sure makes things easier to see! Also I didn't think the magnet would be very strong but it is, I stuck it to my toolbox at the back of my garage and I also stuck on my magnetic Milwaukee tape and the Milwaukee gave out around 15-16 feet and this one made it clear to the garage door over 20 feet away and it gets better I never even pulled up on the lever lock the whole time so it was dragging on that the whole time and it still beat the Milwaukee! I like the lever lock on it too and what's also really great is that they kept it at a real great price, under $10 definitely worth it, I liked this one so much I bought a second lever lock that also has the fractional scale on it and below it there is another fractional scale in red and it only goes up a one inch for every 2 normal inches and I found that it is so you can measure something and then right below you read that number and it gives you a number that is the exact center of the number you measured so you can find the center of any measurement you take with no math needed!!! That is great for people like me who suck at math lol! The one thing is I wish they offered these things on a fatmax tape measure, that would be great but of course it would cost more too. All in all I really like these tape measures and would definitely recommend them, at under $10 you can't go wrong!

Outstanding tool bought this unit because of the fractional scale and besides comes with the magnetic tip and it’s design with rounded edges is a great feature

A friend gave me this because his wife, a window blinds salesperson, couldn't figure out how to make it lock on a measurement. Nor could he. They gave up and bought a competitor's. I can't figure it out either. Retracts positively and smoothly every time, immediately.

I have so many tape measures. This is my far the most comfortable and easiest to use. I love this thing. So much more natural than the ones with the thumb lock. It just feels great in the hand. Feel naked without it. Nice work Stanley!

Okay for a junk drawer tape, or for Mama around the house.
