When installing windows with flexible sill flashing alone, turning the corner creates a small spot where water can infiltrate because you have to cut it so it will lay flat at both the sill and the jamb. By installing this product at the lower corners before installing the sill flashing, it provides a secondary line of defense against water intrusion should any water get past the flashing right at the lower corner. These pieces are relatively inexpensive and easy to install. It probably took less than 5 minutes per window opening (2 lower corners), which is faster than using a traditional 'bow-tie' made from flexible flashing to seal the corner. On top of increased speed, it creates a better end result. Flexible sill flashing sticks to it aggressively and forms a good seal. I would recommend this product to anyone installing new windows with outside nailing flanges.

    Dr. Bob
Product was easy to install with staple gun, giving the extra water protection to my new window installation, just like seen on You Tube. Not sure why Home Depot has this product is under door and window, because the product description small print says not to use on a door. Otherwise seems to be just the thing for windows.

Great product - exactly what I needed!
I learned about corner flashings on YouTube, however, I had a difficult time locating some to procure. Home Depot had the product I needed and delivered them very quickly. The product worked exactly as expected and I will purchase again. All my expectations were exceeded (service and product).

    Corner Flashing
They do exactly what they were designed to do. They add strength and waterproofing at the windows weakest point. They tie in easily and work great.

Right thing for the job, needs to be stocked in stores
Absolutely the best thing for the job. I just can't understand why Home Depot pays UPS to ship them to stores (free to the customer) and making the customer wait to get the product, instead of stocking them in stores.

    Window Corner Flashing
Easy to install and when used with a roll of adhesive backed flashing provides a great corner and much cheaper than the stretch flashing.

          Flashing for skylights
I bought these to waterproof the corners of three curb-mounted skylights, interwoven with the metal flashing. Design and fit are fine for the purpose; it would be better to have galvanized steel instead of plastic, so all the materials were compatible. I have not been able to locate equivalent corners in galvanized. It is very useful that you can buy these as individual units, instead of needing to buy a box of 50 or more.

          Good corner flashing
Used this corner flashing on several window installations and am very satisfied with the product. The PVC thickness is about 1/16 inch, so It's somewhat floppy yet strong. Easy to trim with sturdy scissors or shears. Will be ordering more for future window installations.

Great product for flashing window corners
Great product for flashing window corners, really helped seal the corners without having to buy an expensive flashing system. Used in conjunction with butyl flashing tape and caulk. Made for 2x4 walls but I extended with flashing tape. Home Depot needs to stock more items designed for 2x6 walls, especially with more homes being constructed with thicker walls for more insulation thickness.

Only works with a flat sill, doesn't work with a sloped sill
This product assumes your window (or door) has a flat sill. I bought a dozen of these before realizing they don't work well with sloped sills. I had to really "massage" and well staple the product and then apply extra acrylic flashing tape to make it work with a sloped sill and was not entirely satisfied even though I'm confident that I did seal the window corners well enough.

Product is fundamentally flawed -- does not work with sloped sill
This product only works if your installation does not have a sloped sill or you have a created sloped sill "on top" of this product--and you should have a sloped sill and you should not be creating a sloped sill over this product. I learned this the hard way when I tried to use it. I had to make custom slits in the product to accommodate a normally recommended 6 degree positive sill slope. I made it work but it did not deliver the user experience I was expecting.

You can buy small project quantities
This product is works perfectly for installing vinyl windows (new construction). The best thing about them is you can buy small quantities from HD and not a 100 minimum for other similar products elsewhere.

          Worked as expected
I found this item after watching some videos online about window installation. I used this in conjunction with the self sticking flashing tape. I'm fairly confident that everything in my house will leak before these windows I just installed. Don't skip this step for 5 bucks.

          Sure-fire Surecorners
Wish I had found out about this product a few years ago! Have rebuilt several walls with new windows, & had spent a lot of time massaging wide rubber waterproofing tape into corners. Just installed a couple of windows with these corners, & was thrilled at the time saved. Can feel confident the corners are waterproof with minimal effort. Wish I could have bought a smaller number, however.

Great addition to a flashing system
These flashing corners were a great addition to my flashing system (I was flashing a new sliding glass door) and being able to buy them individually from Home Depot was a HUGE advantage. There was no where else I could buy only four. I would recommend this product.

Great price and convenient but need to be washed before use if you are using flashing tape
These are a great product and when bought in bulk, less expensive than anyplace else I found selling comparable products. The only downside is they come covered in a powder which I assume is the release compound for the mold. We'll be using flashing tape on these, and a release compound is the last thing I want on them when taped, so I washed them all. I'd budget a good half hour per hundred to wash them, but you'll still save time flashing your windows.
