A perfect match to our house windows

This is a 4 pane divided light window without any weather seal or caulk. I mounted it on a garden shed for looks, not for function. I had to use a tube of clear RTV to seal all seams, cracks, and frame to glass contact lines. I had to devise my own mounting & framing as you cannot just cut a hole and screw this to the wall. That said, it is hard to find small windows for sheds and garages so I had to endure the extra mounting effort.

Happy I found this window, I bought two to try, then four more. I had to make them shorter to work for me, I shortened the first two by grinding a 1/4" off the top, then next 4 I used a table saw to cut 1" off the top, no problem, they cut nice and now fit nice in my 80 year old barn.

Great price. Great project window. You can put 'em anywhere.

Easy to install, look great in the carriage style doors

My original wooden garage window was rotting from years of neglect and an errant planter box mounted to it so I measured its dimensions and this was the only window I could find, but I didn't need to look further because this window is a good replacement, it was easy to install, looks nice and with the PVC material used, won't rot like the wooden one did. I'm very pleased with this window and would probably replace other windows in the garage with a TAFCO should the need arise.

Faced with the replacement of a badly weathered window in our 1830's barn with minimum disturbance of the original siding my search led me to this "barn sash". The features that attracted me were structural and architectural compatibility, the elimination of need for putty and paint, ability to trim the bottom of the sash to the slope of the PVC sill, cost and availability. The sash conveniently showed up at my door freight allowed just days after ordering on line. Based on the success of this remodel and improvement in appearance of my historic barn I am exploring the possibility of replacing the rest of the barn's windows.

I'm finishing my basement and want to let some natural light into the unfinished work area. This fixed window was perfect. It's well made, looks nice, and is easy to install.

I used two of these windows for a 7 foot by 16 foot heavy wood garage door. I framed them with 1 x 3 inch birch and 1/2 inch quarter round. They have been in use for a month so far and they look great and provide lots of light. The included instructions are minimal...should be installed by a handyman .

Great bang for the buck. I used three of these building my small barn and they are just the ticket. I used them in 2x4 framed walls, and captured them with 2x4s ripped down to 1-1/2 to crate the frame. Set the windows in the frame with silicone caulk so they were flush with the outside, and trimmed them in with pine siding. They do rattle a bit from the grates, but it's no big deal. If you are handy, you don't need any instructions to install these.

I'm artist, so I always use all the kind of materials,right now I'm doing a basement to look like streets of Paris , For what I need was very good, I used the windows to make a pretend restaurant , the windows are light, strong, very easy to install, I'm very satisfied , beautiful result .

Needed a couple of barn sash windows to replace a couple old wooden ones that had deteriorated beyond repair. Also needed to do this before residing the barn, as the window framing needed to be redone as well. The newly purchased sash windows are of a vinyl construction and made so if a pane needs replacement it is only a matter of unscrewing a few of the pieces to repair. These will last for a long time which is what I wanted. This project for two windows and new framing took two days to complete. The new sash window install really can't be much simpler.

Bought this window to replace the rotted wooden window in my shed. This was the closest thing I could find to the original.

Fits good for a garage window

I had to hunt for the term "barn window" buried in the description after they arrived and I saw what they actually were. I was thinking they were just a normal picture window. They are not for exterior use that's for sure. Very vague description and the full description was buried under ads and other pictures on the webpage. My fault for not fully investigating what they were before buying.

Excellent interior window.

These vinyl windows are first class. When they were temporarily out of stock, I ordered a different brand. Thankfully, the other brand was the wrong size and I had to send them back and then order more Tafco windows when they were back in stock. The Tafco windows are much better made - tighter, less play in the joints - and they are actual 29 x 31" which fit our barn openings perfectly and no painting! Definitely so glad I purchased them!
