Bought it today for going in the woods. Been in here 2 hours so far so good!

I bought my first one before there were a dozen different models to choose from. Standard basic pad and propane unit. It has been with us every time we get into bug country....going on 15? years. They work. Seriously. A newer model works with the oldtimer on the overhang patio...especially this summer. SE Michigan...mosquito's idea of heaven. The DEET keeps them from landing (got some), but the Thermas keeps them from coming around. Get one, or two...or don't.... it took me 15 years (?) to write a review. 5 Stars as they say...

I bought this to feral hog hunt in Ga. and worked amazing. In a tree stand, in the middle of the forest, in the middle off the night when you would be eaten alive by those pesky mosquitoes. Not one, LOVE IT!!!!

Super disappointed in this product... After seeing all the great reviews and hearing from friends that these work amazing I decided to buy one but I was highly disappointed when I went out into the bushes with it had zero effect on the bugs.. I also tried it in my yard since mosquitos are really bad where I am thinking maybe it didn't work for the bugs in the bushes, and still got eaten alive by the mosquitos. I made sure the unit was running multiple times as I thought maybe it just wasn't on, but it was. Very disappointed in the product, might as well buy bug spray since it's cheaper and has more effect.

I have used Thermacell for nearly 20 years. And have enjoyed zero problems with my units. I have three. I have found that leaving the cartridges in the units, that they tend to leak the fuel over time. The simple solution is to remove the cartridges, when not in use.

Your refill method makes it too expensive to use. Very disappointed.

I tried one out this spring while working in the woods in Maine. As soon as I stepped out of the protection zone, the mosquitos were on me. When I was closer, they were gone. The one I used was on loan from a friend. I will definitely buy one! Maybe I'll buy more than one.

I live in a rural area in Northern Ontario and started a large garden this year. Well, between the deep woods, black earth, manure and what not, the blackflies were simply outrageous, making it an unpleasant trip to the garden even with my mesh jacket/hood and deeting myself up on the legs (I can’t stand deet but want to wear shorts while gardening). I purchased the MR300 and WOW, unbelievable difference, it really works – and works on blackflies!, it works so well I can honestly say, my gardening has been saved by technology. Awesome product, I don’t give out 5 stars at the drop of a hat but the MR300 gets that, it works that well and is so easy to use.

Just bought it because the bugs were bad on the front porch. Started it up and after a few minutes noticed that the gnat and mosquitos were gone. First thing I have found to work on them pest

I'd just like to respond the ease needed to get the thing out of the box. You have to cut around it until you free that clip. People... it's not necessary, man. I'm sure some have destroyed the item before they got to use it. -.-

I recommend this to all who are outdoors Hunting & Fishing I am a Nuisance Wild Life control operator specializing in the eradication of Wild Hogs & Coyotes .I am constantly outdoors in places infested with mosquitos and other biting fly's .This little gem works well with my Mosquito Coveralls masking my human scent from the Hogs & Coyotes & Repelling Mosquitos while sitting for hours in a ladder stand at night the earth scent pads last four hours and I go through two to 3 pads a night and the Mosquitos stayaway allowing me to do my Job Eradicating Hogs & Coyotes.

I bough this for my handicapped granddaughter. She doesn’t know enough to swat bugs even if she is being bitten. Due to a seizure disorder she can’t use repellent. We went hiking in the woods to a waterfall area. I turned on the thermacell and put it in the cup holder of her stroller. Neither she nor I were bothered by the mosquitoes or black flies. Everyone else over 15 feet away were swatting bugs and getting eaten alive. Needless to say I made a few friends that day just so they could stand near it.

Great product for hunting. I always take a back-up with me on each hunting trip. Love the new switch vs the dial. Only downfall I see is they put a blue swish and bold white letters saying "THERMACELL" on a camo holster. Got a feeling some marketing genius that never went in the woods came up with this idea.

Mosquitos love me. I have one of these and an older 150, I use them whenever camping in Dubai, UAE and in the woods of Wisconsin. They really got tested to the max when I was making a wildlife documentary in the bush in Chad, Africa. When in a Malaria-rich, remote locations for weeks on end, you need a product that you can rely on. They worked a dream. When one ran out of gas- unknown to me, we were set upon by mosquitos. As soon as I replaced the canister, they were off ! Great customer service too.

Ive been using the MR-150 models every year since 2008.Along with 10 other friends we hunt in the low country swamps of South Carolina. I was a believer on the very first hunt. I couldnt get that thing lit up fast enough! 4 to 5 minutes later no mosquitoes. I could see them like a wall all around me ,but other than 2 or 3 kamikaze's i was able to enjoy the day. Now I take three with me every year, in case someone loses theirs or one wont stay lit. They are a must.

The Backpacker Mat-Only Refills work in all THERMACELL devises. It would be very nice if the Earth Scent Mats would be sold separately too! The

I am in the Adirondacks 6 months of the year. My family loves your product. But, the last 3 that I purchased last Christmas as gifts, I was told two of them quit working after a short time. I have older ones that still work after years and the body is much better quality. I would love to buy more, but I am sceptical.

The mr300 was a replacement for an older model that took upwards of 30 clicks to light if it even lit. I use it for hunting and the old model was just to noisy. The mr300 works great one click and its working. 100% satisfied with it. I have to give credit to the sales staff because they did give me a discount on the purchase. I really wanted the older model fixed and was told it would cost more to fix then to replace the unit.

I purchase the 300 hours because my guest and I work on projects outside in mosquito filled air. This product works as published we are very satisfied with the results.

Unit works great. Mosquitoes love me and this is a saving grace. I would give it five stars but the cover is terrible. Primary flap in the front can’t be used with the unit on. it either covers the front vent or the back vent and has no way of staying out of the way.

I’ve been a staunch Thermacell supporter and customer for years. My original portable unit finally quit working. I LOVED MY THERMACELL! It worked and performed perfectly. Bugs didn’t want anything to do with me. I don’t know why it died because there’s not much to them. It would light up then die immediately. So I bought 3 new ones. The new design sucks! PERIOD! I bought a new 2 years ago and it never worked from the start. I had it on my yearly 10 day deer hunting trip. I got so mad at it I threw it against a tree! I HATE the new design. The detachable clip is the dumbest design I’ve seen. I’m very disappointed. I hope it actually stays running. At least the bugs won’t bother me even if the new design is junk.

Been wanting to buy one and finally did and we used it today to shuck a sack of oysters in Louisiana and did not have one bite and without this product they would have picked me up and flew away with me. If you live in the South this is a must, can't wait to bring it on my boat while fishing!!

I came here specifically to do a review and I don’t normally do them. I took my 8 year old hunting last week in FLORIDA and we didn’t turn the thermacell on until we got to the stand. She carried it on all the way back to the truck. They work! 8 year old approved.

Product literature is misleading. The slightest breeze blows away the gas from this complicated, expensive device offering no effective protection from mosquitoes in any but dead air conditions.

Works great. Beats all other products out there :)
