Nice cameras but the SD slot is useless
The cameras work well and the range is good. It's disappointing, however, that the Micro SD slot in the cameras is basically useless. I'd assumed they could locally record if their connection was lost, but apparently the only way to use the SD Card is to go to each camera's setting daily and set it to record...very odd design.

Even better than the original
I needed to purchase another set of battery powered outdoor WYZE camera due to inadvertently resetting them to troubleshoot a connectivity issue. These newer cameras feature a wider viewing angle which now allows full side to side coverage of my back yard. The low light sensor seems to have been upgraded to the starlight version as it matches my other WYZE cameras that have it.

Mail box monitoring
I had trouble with two attempts to break into my heavy duty mailbox, so I wanted a camera to monitor it. The Outdoor Cam V2 seemed to fit the bill. To a degree, it does. I have it turned on to record for vehicle and people nearing the mail box during the dark hours. It does a good job of that, though the images are probably not crisp enough identify the bad guys. There is no lighting on the boxes, so that hurts. It would help immensely if telephoto lenses were an option. The box is probably 50 feet from the camera, which is mounted on an 8' pole in my yard, across the street. Having the solar panel makes the monitoring possible, though I wish it provided more output. I suspect I'll have a problem in other than the summer months. I did struggle mightly with the setup. A Dummies book approach would have helped with the basics.

No Night Color
Supposed to be color at night, hasn’t worked yet. At first it was blacked out but now it’s in black snd white.

Great option for a wireless camera!
I love the night vision this camera provides! This replaced a Blink camera which was a gray, blurry image at night. What an improvement! Easy to set up. I added a solar panel so I don't have to worry about recharging. The physical installation was a little sketchy as the holes for mounting had to be exact.

Decent Quality. Reliable Signal.
While this requires a small transceiver, the connections are far more reliable than those from the "improved" V3 cameras. I have a mix of both camera types. If I had it to do over again, I would buy only these, and not any V3s.

Not worth it
It can take a photo every time the wind blows, but it can't take a photo when someone comes in or out the driveway!!

decent little camera for the money
well it works pretty good range wise when you get this one with the hub with the 2 tall ears. but the pictures saved are not very clear, maybe 1MP. the live video is much clearer than the saved pictures. I don't like the fact you have to pay a subscription to get video. I have other wireless cameras called EZVIZ and it stores the videos on the SD card. this camera only stores a picture thats not very clear, unless you pay for the monthly fee. I don't like monthly fees. so I won't be buying this brand due to the money fees. But the range is much better than the EZVIZ cameras I had used before. I'll be sticking with the other brands.
this more expensive Wyze camera feels more durable as its made with metal. the cheaper Wyze cameras are just light weight plastic that feels really cheap.

Base station does not connect to network and App
I am having issues to connect the base station to the network and Wyze App. The Base does not show up if the app scans for the new device nor does the QR code work. The Wyze App does not respond after connecting to the camera Wifi or is crashing. I ended up using the V2 camera with an already installed Base Station and replaced an V1 camera. The base station between V1 and V2 is the same model.

It's important to remember that you shouldn't delete your Wyze Cam Outdoor or Wyze Base Station from the Wyze app while they show Offline, as this will prevent you from being able to set them up again. Works well AND solved a lack of wifi dilemma
We needed a camera to monitor our feral cats and their barn. With no wifi, the v3 cams (that had worked wonderfully) from our previous situation were of no use. Our new base station and outdoor V2 cam manage to cover the distance (about 300 feet) between house and barn, and we now have the photos to show that the cats are well and still around (and proof that we are also feeding at least one raccoon). Before the cam was in place, we thought that we had only one cat who’d decided to remain with us! My only regret is that as I wasn’t sure that the system would work, I only bought the base station with one camera, and now that I know it does work would have like to have the set with three!

Not working properly
to many problems I have to reset often this supposed to be color night vision!! It’s not!!! its recording I don’t know what??I think this will be my last product from wyze I have other wireless outdoors cameras and I’m not having those issues just charging them and good to go I’m not happy at all I have cam plus it’s not working I’m paying for it I will submit some screenshots but you don’t have the option

Total wireless freedom
So easy with the wireless install, no power cords even! And the magnet connection makes it so easy for a recharge. Installed over a week ago and still 91%. Thanks, great cameras.

Short life span
I am only giving this two stars because it has already stopped working. I had installed this with the separately purchased solar panel, since it was far away from any electrical, and while i had to reconnect it a few times, it seemed to work great. I have another one i purchased before this one and it is still going strong. I have seven other cameras, six of which are wired and i have no problems with them at all. I am disappointed with the price of this for a long as it lasted.

really disappointed, was expecting more.
the video quality if far worse than I expected, I can recognize cars passing through, but no chance you'll read a license plate even from close distance ( about 20 ft or less)
every moving object is blurred, It really only serves the purpose of warning you, but not really for documenting.

Quality, affordable, easy to use cameras!
Very easy set up once you have the base station plugged in. I have 9 units, mostly the wireless type (easy to move around inside and out). The battery charges last a looooong time (months). The plug in ones monitor my very busy areas. Managing the software is also easy. Highly recommend Wyze.

Perfect outdoor camera.
I have owned this camera since version 1, groundbreaking. The battery lasts longer if you adjust motion sensitivity and recognizing humans vs pets. I bought the new color night vision and it was difficult to connect, very difficult. I had to contact support and reset modem and camera several times and move it close to the modem and try a few more times. I believe they were working on updates because now I have no issues. I use it in a very hot climate, however this one is not in the sun, but rather under a patio cover. Yes you should run the wire through the house or in the wall, but I’d rather have an installer do that. The camera works well at night and day. The picture is clear and vibrant. Rather easy to install with either the magnetic foot and base that you screw I to the wall, or you can just stand it on a ledge, tree, fence or shelf.

Good product
Easy to set up. Clear picture. I use 2 set at different angles to keep an eye on my husband with dementia while he sits on the back deck. I can tell if he steps off and walks away. Also nice to have at night to check and see what’s going on if my motion lights are activated. I don’t have the wyze cam turned on unless my husband is outside.

No travel mode :(
The camera is 5 stars but "Travel mode" doesn't exist on the V2. So 0 stars for that. I use the outdoor v1 in my horse trailer as we drive down the highway. I bought the V2 for our 2nd horse trailer hoping it was a better choice. The V1 is the only wyze cam that has travel mode.

Outdoor Cam at Front Gate
I have it at my front gate which is a distance from my house. It lets me know if someone is there. If they don’t have the gate code, I can give it to them over the speaker.

Outdoor cam
This is my fourth outdoor cam. I added a solar panel to charge as its minimally accessible. The camera works great, but the Wyze app isn’t that great - not very responsive. It and another one are about 100’ from the base station. Can take some time to get alive picture. Even the one closer can take some time and there are occasions it just doesn’t want to pull up a live pic. The notifications are generally good.
By comparison to the much more expensive Nest cameras, the time to pull up a live pic is NO comparison.
Picture quality is good and the new Ver3 is superior.
I wish Wyze had an upgrade policy!
