Installation was easy. All parts and accessories were included. It is a little louder than some of the more expensive units, but not bad. Overall and excellent value purchase.

This thing started leaking from the bottom due to a broken interior seal the day after it was installed. Avoid this brand.

I actually like this one better than the Moen high-end equivalent model which cost almost twice as much.

The Waste King Legend ! HP is an excellent grinder. Also the 20 year warranty is great. But it is too big that is why i returned it and got a smaller one

Super easy install. Works well. I was able to install myself in about 30 minutes following the online video instructions. First time doing a garbage disposal and seriously could not be easier.

I've use this brand on many of my properties when replacing the garbage disposals and they work great. just get a 3/4hp or larger.

Seems well made, installed easily, it's compact especially for a full horsepower, it's quieter than comparably priced alternatives and much more powerful. The sound insulation is adequate, the plastic shell is very adequate, and it really went in quickly. It always humors me that they request your rating and feedback often before things are installed and certainly before you know if it's durable, reliable, etc. I put it in less than a week ago and it works fine, but it seems it would be a more meaningful review if I were asked in a few months or even more than a year later.

I bought this to replace InSinkErator evolution which just stopped working, hardly ever used it and within 5 years it died, 200 dollars for trash. This Waste King L8000 has more horse power, much easier to install, weighs less and is half the cost, literally installed myself in under 45 min., not quite as quiet as evolution, but at least it works. If you have any DYI skills at all you can install this, the more space you have the better, it is a large disposer. The easy mount system is far easier to work with than the old three screw mount. Very happy with this purchase.

My 1hp King died after 5 years, still under warranty and they were super on replacing it. I've installed dozens of garbage disposals and it's usually a pretty simple job. Not this one. They redesigned the mounting flange to make it almost impossible to install. While every disposal I've ever installed, including the previous Waste King, used a simple rubber hose and hose clamp to mount the disposal to the sink drain, this one has a unique mounting system. First you need to remove the sink drain so you can use their proprietary drain. A locking ring goes onto the sink drain and then a rubber seal stretches over the drain and inside the locking ring. So the locking ring only goes up about a half inch and you have to try and stretch the seal over the drain while making it slide up between the inside of the locking ring and outside of the sink drain. Just to make sure you don't get lucky the sink drain has a small grove running around the circumference about a 1/16" from the bottom. So while you're trying to fit that rubber seal between the drain and locking ring it catches on the groove. If this wasn't free I'd take it back and buy another brand. Again, every disposal I've ever installed was hard wired to power source. This one uses a household plug so I had to install an outlet under the sink.

This is the most powerful and quietest disposal I have ever owned. It takes care of anything we throw at it and was an easy replacement.
