Great little pump for residential irrigation water management
Ease of portability and strong pressure makes this pump ideal for transferring water between tanks and irrigating landscape plants with hose and spray nozzle. I used readily available , inexpensive PVC pipe and couplings (all at HD) to connect the pump to my pick-up mounted water transfer tank and pump into my large storage tank. When I need pressure for my irrigation hose, I move the pump to the PVC pipe from my large storage tank. It all works with little fuss.

After two weeks I am still happy
Two things I did to mine was I added a ball valve to replace the primer plug. Now I just have to turn a lever add water, and turn the lever and fire it up. I also installed a short non restrictive hose shut off on the intake side so when I turn the pump off I shut that valve and it will hold it's prime. Otherwise you could install a foot valve which will do it automatically but my way is just fine.

Close to city pressure, quality.
I have only had it for a day so I can't speak for longevity. The pressure is almost as good as city pressure. And my city pressure is very high. I only used it for a couple minutes and it did not get hot in those couple of minutes. It seems very sturdy. I used quick connects and a switched outlet box (that has an on/off switch) . My input hose is about 15 or 20 feet and output hose is 75 feet.

Using this for a home water harvesting system
After researching a lot for what exactly I needed (and for a reasonable price) and reading reviews here on the HD website this pump sounded like this would work. I built a 1,650 gallon water harvesting system at my house. I have 6 - 275gal. containers that connect to a common line which reduces to a 1" water faucet at the end. I connected this pump to that line and and on the other end of the pump installed a 4 way brass hose adapter that leads to different sections of my yard to feed different soaker hose lines. My longest hose line is a 100' 5/8" - 3/4" hose that goes all the way around the back of my yard and then connected to that is 75' of soaker hose. I turned this pump on and I couldn't believe how much pressure there was to that soaker hose. This is a total of 175' from the pump. It had more pressure than from house water line. I was amazed and very happy. All my other lines leading from the pump to the yard are shorter and of course have plenty of pressure too. Now since I have this brass 4 way hose adapter on the exit side of the pump, I do have 3 hoses connecting to it, each one going to a different part of the yard. BUT I only turn on one hose at a time. So, after one area is watered, I turn that valve off and then turn on the next one. I didn't want any of you to think this pump would pressurize all 3 hoses at once. It may do 2 though. This thing has A LOT of pressure. This pump is not weather proof, but I wasn't about to carry this thing back & forth to the garage when I needed it and hook everything up again. This thing is VERY heavy (Cast Iron). So I placed it on a secure pad, built a weather proof cover for it out of an old plastic bucket so it stays nice and dry and all my hoses stay hooked up and are labeled where in the yard they water. When I need water, I remove the plastic cover off the pump, open the 1" valve from my harvesting containers to allow water into the pump which primes it, open one of the valves on my brass hose adapter and then plug it in. Great pump and the price was right. Took about 5-8 days (don't remember exactly) to get here from the online order date. Can't buy it in the store.

Not sure about longevity yet, its my first Wayne brand pump. But so far it is FAR SUPERIOR to the Harbor Freight dog crap, practically theft, brand of utility pump. It’s quieter and pumps much faster. So im willing to bet it will last a long time. Remember if your’s stops running, change the brushes where the plastic big screws are. It comes with an extra set!

I have never used a pump before, but so far, so good with this one. I use it daily for work. It’s compact and not really loud at all for a pump. It provides the right amount of pressure I need.

Well, I needed a pump to water my lower garden. I gave a small pump which runs off of a 12-volt, just wouldn't work @350 feet. I bought this to take care of my problem. It had the pressure at the distance I had. I pull from a small stream with about 39ft of head and does a great job. Pump was ordered and delivered within a couple of days from Home Depot. Thank you
