Great accessory for the new grill! Part of a very successful Valentine’s present. Broke it in when we decided on steak fajitas. The base of griddle fits perfectly on the grate.

Don't buy this thing. The deep pan cooking surface ruins the whole point of a flat griddle. Look for the Weber 7598 flat griddle that is amazing. Two of them side by side turns your grill into a wonderful cooking surface for pancakes, stir fry, and any other short order cooking recipe. Weber seems to think that they need to stop us from cooking on two flat griddles at the same time. In the comments to questions and in reviews to this version, they say that we should not place two griddles next to each other. Something about incorrect ventilation. Ha! Sounds like lawyers to me. I cook on two Weber 7598 flat griddles every week - breakfast is my specialty. No way you're doing eggs, bacon, pancakes on these deep pan things. Only flat griddles like the Weber 7598. Look for them on eBay or elsewhere. Worth their weight in cast iron for sure.

Excellent addition to the grill. Fit is perfect. Love the enamel finish, cleans up so easily. The smash burgers are sooo good. Wish they made a griddle twice as big, but i'll suffer with this until they do.

This is an awesome addition to my grill. I keep it on one side and the standard grill grate on the other. I use it to cook breakfast, usually bacon and eggs on. I have also made biscuits on it.

I have cooked a few different foods on the grill. Stripped Bass came out great. I wish it was a wee bit bigger, but can definitely work with this.

This is a frustrating product. It is very nice to cook on but I've found the cleaning very difficult. It's heavy and awkward shape (doesn't fit fully in sink for submersion) and "soap & water" does not get it clean. At least for me I get a lot of charred stains and it takes a lot of effort to clean. It's porcelain coated, which is nice for cooking, but BE VERY CAREFUL with your cleaning. I found cleaning with soap, water and a sponge was not effective. So I started using the weber wire brush and sometimes steel wool and yep, the porcelain coating was damaged. I had to buy another one thanks to that mistake. I still have the same problem with cleaning the new one because you can't use a steel brush or steel appliances. This just doesn't make sense when the rest of the grill you can use steel brushes. The other problem I have with this is that it's inefficient use of space. It's really clunky and has so much wasted space around the edges that the actual cooking surface is much smaller than the total size. I love my Spirit 300 and Weber makes great products but they have missed it with this one in my opinion. I now wish I just went with the round portable griddle instead and at least it's easier to move around and clean.

Nice griddle- made smash burgers on it. Definitely give it time to warm up while you prepare all your ingredients. Looking forward to trying other meals on it!

Bought and works well BUT, A - do you need to remove 1/2 griddle each time after using, or can you leave on grill, after cleaning, as this is our means of using ie griddle and grates... B - does the one burner it lays on, provide enough heat for smash burgers, eggs ect.. C - is there a drip pan option or suggestion to catch grease again, nice option

Wrong griddle for my application. The Burners on my Spirit 2 grill won't get hot enough to properly support griddle cooking. Maybe a larger grill model could generate enough heat. In addition the "Grease" trap down spout will not line up to the grease pan hole which is directly over the grease pan. I don't want to have to clean my entire grill after each use. I'm considering purchasing a griddle unit independent of the grill. I have used Weber products for years and hope to continue as a satisfied customer.

Works well. Just too small. The should have made one to fit the three burner spirit.

Bought this solely to try making smashburgers on our Spirit 200. The griddle arrived within a couple days and fit right in one side of the grill (no adapter/insert needed). The griddle is heavy and high quality and requires a little extra care/storage, but it's exciting to have this flat top adaptor for our existing grill and not having to buy an extra appliance.

I purchased the griddle because I was hoping to have a full "flat top" surface so I would not need to purchase a flat top griddle. This part is only half of the grill, so does not accomplish that task. I am not sure I will even use it given this disappointment.

This is great. We have one side with the grill. The griddle is great for everything. So far we used for hashbrowns and grilled peppers.

I am surprised of the care that the griddle needs and the strong suggestion to remove it. I truly wanted to place it in the grill and leave it in permanently.

This is a great design that you have both options together when grilling.

On the Spirit II you should have a full flat iron griddle that we as consumers can change out!

The griddle is great! However you need to put a pan under the drip hole so it doesn’t drip down onto the tank and cement.

You are told to bring the grill insert inside and hand wash it and then store it inside when not in use. You also are not supposed to use any oil on it. It's ridiculous that you can't leave it in the grill along like the regular grates. It is way too much trouble to use. It probably works okay but I haven't tried it yet and may return it due to these stupid limitations.

It's official, at least on my grill, that burgers are being smashed and griddle cooked from now on. AND it's super easy to clean in the sink after it cools. What's not to love?
