Amazing when it worked
We bought this last year and when it worked, it was on point, but it only worked a handful of times before it completely stopped. I have tried replacing the battery and numerous other things and can't get it to turn on anymore. I'm extremely disappointed we only got to use it a handful of times before it stopped working.

Great concept, poor design
When it worked it was great! I could count on it to let me know exactly when my food was coming up to temperature! However, I brought it along for a family beach trip so I could monitor 2 spatchcock chickens while I converse with my family that I had not seen in 2 years; instead, I had to babysit and constantly monitor the chickens and check their temperatures. The device refused to even turn on! I love my Weber Kettle because of the simplicity of design; but this device caused nothing but frustration.

The good and the bad of the iGrill Mini
I initially love the iGrill Mini and in fact it improved my grilling as I was able to perfectly grill several items better than I had before (since my instinct was to leave them on the grill a bit longer, but I followed the recommendation from the iGrill and it was perfectly done). However, my frustration now is the probe seems to be intermittent. It will register and then after some time seem to be either disconnected or start giving outrageous readings.

It worked twice.
We have used this successfully just twice. Went to use it yesterday, replaced battery and it would turn on, then off by itself. This is really a necessity if you don't want to babysit your smoker on a 95 degree day! It is less than 2 years old and I would appreciate a replacement Mini.

After several seconds, the ring around the power button should flash blue. If you have a probe inserted, you will see a green light instead. To power the iGrill Mini off, hold down the center button for several seconds. In this case, the ring around the center button will illuminate white. A 2-year warranty backs this accessory. Does not connect and will only work close to grill
I was given this as a gift and was very excited to use this. Worked great the first few times, but then the battery would not turn off and would drain the battery. I just started buying extra batteries and taking them out after each use. Now it will not register any cooking temperature under 85 degrees. It has stopped working and is now garbage. Wish it would last or the company would replace it.

Touch your cooking with your hand. More accurate
I bought these and have been testing them for 2 years. I can now definitely say they're a waste of money and wish I could return them. The connectivity via Bluetooth is line of sight at best if you're lucky. They don't tell you when they've disconnected just display the last tempature they recorded. Only way to tell if it's stopped working is unplug the cables to the device and see if it still shows the probe disconnected or not. Reconnecting the device is a frustrating difficult task that never seems to work until the 10th try. Save your money don't but these.

Not worth it
Kids bought it for my birthday. Trying to use for only the 2nd time and spent over an hour trying to pair it the phone. Followed instructions, changed battery, watched YouTube videos, deleted and reinstalled app. Nothing. Piece of crap. Returning it ASAP.

Barely works, sometimes
Sometimes I have to spend 30 minutes trying to connect it, sometimes it connects right away. My probe stopped working and the nice folks at weber sent me a new probe, now that one reads too high. So I have up. If I didn't need to spend so much time getting it connected, I'd try again with a new probe but it's not worth it

Makes grilling easier than ever.
I've been grilling my whole life and in the last decade or so, started using temperature probes. I like the consistency it gives me. I cook year around and winters or windy seasons really can have an affect on your grill times. Nice device, lousy Bluetooth
Bought this today, hooked it up, and connected to the phone with no problems. Went inside to get a beer, and checked the app about an hour later. Found the bluetooth had disconnected at some point. The distance from the device to my phone is 20 feet next to a picture window. Over all a nice device with terrible range.

Please keep in mind that the advertised range is achievable in ideal conditions, when no obstructions are between the grill, oven, or smoker and the smart device being used.
Performing a reset of the iGrill can help increase the range. To do so, please follow these steps:
iGrill Mini, iGrill 2, Kitchen Thermomter, Kitchen Thermometer Mini:
- Remove the battery(ies) for 30 seconds
- Insert the battery(ies) and hold down the reset button for 5 seconds
- Open ‘Settings’ on your smart device, go to Bluetooth, and ‘Unpair’ or ‘Forget this Device’
- Open the Weber iGrill App and pair
iGrill 3:
- Hold down the power button for 15 seconds
- Open ‘Settings’ on your smart device, go to Bluetooth, and ‘Unpair’ or ‘Forget this Device’
- Open the Weber iGrill App and pair
If a reset does not help, it will be useful to test the Bluetooth range achievable in your cooking environment. In order to test the effective range of the Bluetooth connection for your thermometer, connect your thermometer to your compatible smart device and walk in a straight line away from the thermometer, making sure there is nothing physical separating the connection between you and the thermometer, such as walls or the floors of your home.
Physical structures and wireless signals from cordless phones or wireless internet will interfere with the strength of the Bluetooth connection for any device. If you are still unsatisfied with the range you are experiencing with your thermometer, you can also try inserting a fresh set of batteries and testing again.

Ordering was painless and delivery was early. I bought a meat temp probe and cook temp probe. Both probes work well the only drawback is the Bluetooth disconnects from my phone as I move around the house and without warning. The readout temp just freezes with no indication that it is disconnected. I switched devices so I could leave it stationary and the problem was solved. Overall it works well enough.

Hello. We are sorry to hear that the iGrill Mini you purchased is not providing accurate readings. The best way to check for accuracy of your probe is to conduct either an ice water or boiling water test. This would entail placing the probe in either a cup of ice water or a cup of boiling water.
- For ice water, we would expect a temperature of: 32F, +/- 2 degrees
- For boiling water, we would expect a temperature of: 212F, +/- 2 degrees
