I bought this mower wheel came off on second cut gotcnew wheel and 2 cuts later the whole front wheel assembly cane off and the axle flew under the mower and bent up the blade - worst mower ever had

bought this mower in april 2026 used it 3-4 times on my small lot around my mobile home . the handle never stays tight the knobs cant tighten enough. and the handle snspped in half where the locking pins are. worst part is the warranty ! you have to jump through hoops to getreplacement parts ! then you have to fix yourself. to bad its been 3 months or this would go back to hd. on fixed income cant afford a different one

I've only used this mower 3 times. It's not a user friendly machine. There isn't any padding on the handle so either wear gloves or have sore hands. The easy start pull isn't as easy as I need. I have to pull several times to get it going and if I'm tired forget using this mower. When engaging the self propelled feature it lunges forward, be ready or you'll dislocate a body part. I was surprised that I had to fill the gas before the yard was mowed, approximately 1/3 acre. This mower will be a backup for my cordless mower.

Using a second time today; the front right wheel exploded just before finishing mowing my yard! Will you send someone to retrieve the defective mower and deliver a replacement or will you require that I return it to the store. If I have to return; I’ll just demand my credit card be fully refunded and I’ll buy elsewhere. I have pics available of damage.

Absolute garbage and Yardmax service is garbage. The mower leaks oil and burns the oil, straight out of the box on mow number 1. Have been dealing with the warranty people. I called as instructed in the box . They have new email then pictures. Then they ask one question at a time in the email. Then they want video of it. JUST REPLACE THE MOWER. They're like, we need to properly diagnose this. Great, do that when you get it back. We bought a new mower and want a new mower. Stop playing games.

I purchased about a week ago online due to it was not in the store. When I received the box, it was beat up and partially opened. That is the shipper responsibility, not Home Depot. However, I opened the box and took the mower out only to find the blade and bolt to hold it on were missing. I called Yardmax and they are working on getting a blade and bolt to me, and I realize Home Depot does not manufacture the product, but they need to know problems that they sell. I don't know how it runs, since I have not had the chance to use it.

Mulching is TERRIBLE....it leaves tons of clippings. I never had this issues with my previous lawn mower (Craftsman) Now I'm forced to do a 2nd pass with the bag, and it cost me twice as much in gas and time Customer service is useless because they tell me everything seems to work just fine !!!

I used it on my very first cut and 15 minutes in the tire wheel broke in half... Not happy right now!!!!?

I bought two of these over the last 12 to 18 months or so.. not really impressed with longevity.. the plastic underneath keeps cracking, happened on both, then the belt breaks almost immediately.. the first one. I waited too long to turn it but the second broke within 30 days.. I thought about it for a few days and decided to return it.. I don't really cut anything crazy, some gravel in my lawn but it's just my house... crazy it broke so fast this time... it works great! But it's cheaply made of plastic and I'm moving to a different brand.. not even looking for a replacement. Just think people should know...

I started having problems the first day I pick it up from Homedepo. The metal plate that hooks up to handle adjustment and wheel was bent and the handle wouldn't lock in place . I think it was dropped before packaging. I called and they sent me a replacement part after pictures of course . I had to do the work my self. The 2nd thing a couple months later the front axle messed up and the wheel came off. I was again sent another part that I did the work myself. Last year the rear wheels keep locking up and this year I called to try to see about what I could do and the customer service lady had me do a video of the problem and then said they couldn't do anything because now it's out of warranty.

This mower is very hard to operate especially if you are elderly. Right wheel broke on mine and rubber came off wheel that’s made of plastic which cracked. You will be disappointed if you buy this crap!

The mower came damaged. Tried returning it. Wasn't that bad but I was upset. Should have rejected it when I first saw it. Other than that the mower does start easy. The wife can pull start it. And its a solid build despite the damage.

This lawnmower has plastic front wheels that broke the first 5 minutes of my second use. I would not have purchased if I realized it had such cheap front wheels. And why would they not use metal wheels?

I got mine delivered this week. It was easy to prep and it is a good lookind mower. Used it to cut my backyard yesterday. I am impressed! I set it up to mulch and set the transmission speet at halfway. I am 56 years old and it was pleny fast for me. My last lawn mower lasted 25 years. I’m hoping to get 25 out of this one.

While I've only used this mower a few times so far so good! It starts right up and runs strong. The height adjustment is the best and sturdiest I've ever had on a push mower. The drive system works great and I have no complaints!

Nice mower. Comes fully assembled, just need to add motor oil (which comes with the product). Starts right up, no need to prime the engine; it starts on the first pull. Mechanically this mower is solid. The mowing height is adjustable by moving one lever that simultaneously adjusts the height at all four wheels. I did have a problem with the self-propelled speed adjustment lever; it was stuck in position 1 and could not be moved. Turns out the problem was fixable; I attached a picture to this review in case you have the same problem.

I recently purchased this mower. On the recovery from PMR, and had difficult. Bought this mainly because of the variable walk speed and rear wheel drive. I was expecting to be satisfied, but not as much as I am. Mowed all my lawn ( about an acre, mix of flat and banks. Easy to start ( first pull so far every time), and being 5'9", moderate speed was fast enough. I took the time before using to make sure everything was tight enough, and so far, runs like a champ. Even using side discharge, it cuts everything fine enough not to leav grass to rake afterwards. If anything changes, I'll update, but very happy with it

This is a piece of crap lawn mower. I used it 4 times before the front Wheel came off of the axel and was sucked underneath of the lawnmower. Yard, Max only wants to give me $40 for the repairs. Yes, there's a sending me free parts, but not enough money to send it to a repair shop to get fixed.

I am overall happy with this mower, but it has only been 6 weeks. The top speed is a little slow for my preference, and more grass gets caught on the underside than my last mower. Beyond those two points, it starts fast, runs well, gives a nice cut, and looks good.

Oil everywhere in box - bottle was opened. The bars were on backwards . Started once and put away . Went to use and won’t start. Junk! Looked at return policy….. unused in original box. Seriously?! Btw this is very heavy so be prepared

The delivery and ease of setup was so refreshing! The mower was boxed well, cam undamaged, and fired up on the first pull. I have been very impressed with its cutting capabilities and this was a great price for a self-propelled gas mower with 22in width and good horsepower.

I need to contact HomeDepot for a warranty issue. Drive cable damaged in shipping. Will live. I would probably give it five stars if it started and stopped properly. That is how I found the damage cable.

Value packed workhorse that folds for easy storage. Rear wheel drive makes easy work of mowing taller grass and adjustable speed to make it manageable in tough yards. It takes up a very small storage footprint when you collapse the handle.

Powerful lawnmower. Louder then should be in today’s tech, it’s louder then craftsman 6.75 (175cc) I had purchased more than 10 years ago. It’s rear self propelled and I have to get used to it,(craftsman wad front wheel propelled). I like that speed control latch.
