Has worked great for me
I needed something better than my edge finder. This is not super fancy but it has been working great. There were a couple of times I thought it was not working correctly but later I found that setting to deep scan in that particular area fixed it.

Didn’t work complete junk. However I love my Home Depot and it wasn’t the stores fault they sold me crap. I got a full refund with no problem.

Quite often these issues have to do with the environment you’re operating on and knowing why the tool is reacting to density changes that may not be the studs (or objects) you’re looking for or problems with false readings. Purchased this to find the studs under plaster and lathe and it found nothing. I followed the calibration and usage instructions. I tried the deep scan and the metal detection function as recommended in the instructions and it didn't find anything.
