Not normal but mine does the same thing!
Mine does that, I do believe that it is the european version because that is how their valves work.
This is the correct way this faucet works, but it is not standard practice for faucets to work that way.
Glacier Bay is garbage, take it back
Yes it does operate that way. It feels backwards to me but the faucet worked out great in our laundry room sink. I like the pull out spray on it
It's not normal but for that particular faucet it is. There is no way to correct the design. It takes some getting used to it.
mine is the same way.
I ordered this faucet to go with the HD Mont Blanc Wakefield Stone Composite sink (Store SO SKU #1000099955) That sink had 3 pre-drilled holes in it. It all fit together nicely. The spec sheet for that sink does not provide for the size of the holes, but I would say the cut-out is between 1" and 1 1/4". I couldn't get in there to measure it from underneath because of the depth of the sink, but I took a picture of the underside of the sink and it does not look like there were any reinforcements. I have to say, I love the faucet because it has a pull out handle and sprayer. But it is only plastic and a "value" model. I just didn't want to spend much for a laundry sink. My husband didn't like it because it was chrome and he prefers stainless, but I like this one and it has worked great.
I made a 1-1/4 inch hole, but a one inch hole would be sufficient. I did not find any need for reinforcement as the spacing of the holes is adequate on my sink. I think it would depend on the rigidity of the laundry sink.
Thanks for the answers. Follow-up question: the pre-cuts in our new house are 1.25" at 4" diameter. I ordered this faucet and wanted to get the center cut in before it arrives. I don't want to cut any larger than necessary or, as I've read from others, reinforcements may be necessary. So to zero in, just wondering what the template calls for? 1.5" or possible to get by with less?
Thank you. Standard hole size is usually 1 1/2 inches and there should be no reinforcement needed.
we just drove 35 miles to buy one of these. the responses to your question on whether is was plastic or metal were both, so we were not sure of the construction. However, we opened it at the store and it is indeed plastic. And for a sink in the garage that would be unacceptable for us.
It is metal....im very happy with it
It’s plastic. I installed it in my laundry room. Very sturdy
Some claim it's plastic and other say metal. My guess is that the chrome one might be plastic but the one I have, (stainless), is definitely made of metal.
Yes, it is metal with a pull-out spout and works just great. I have had mine over a year and installed it on a new utility tub in the garage. My only suggestion is to install it first on the sink or tub before attaching tub to wall because of the limited working space between tub and wall.
The faucet is made of plastic with a chrome finish.
Plastic
Metal
Unknown, I do not experience this situation. Perhaps refer to manufacturer.
Thank you. It sounds like there might be an issue with the hot water side cartridge. This faucet comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty so simply contact the Customer Care Department at 1-877-527-0313 and they would be glad to assist you with getting another cartridge.
I have the same item, I can duplicate your issue when I pinch or bend the hose line so much that the water flow stops and this is mostly at the end of the hose at the bottom of the head assembly. If this is your problem fix is easy avoid pinching it.
Pop off the little cap on top of each lnob
Take off top caps remove screw ,remove cartridge ,replace new cartridge replace screw and top cap. your done
Thank you. You are going to pop off the cap and under that is the handle screw. Once you unscrew that, the handle should lift off. You will then unscrew the bonnet nut and the cartridge lifts up and out.
the hot and cold labels on the top of each knob pry off. Use the tip of a utility knife blade on the edge of the round disc to get it off since they didn't bother to leave a little notch to use a screwdriver.
these are very cheaply made and they sometimes leak. since it is new buy a new one and substitute the parts and return it.
Melissa, we have the exact same problem. We would also like an answer to this question.
The one I bought started leaking as well I returned it to Home Depot & received a full refund
Check for a bad cartridge.
Thank you. Simply contact the Customer Care Department at 1-877-527-0313 and they would be glad to do any troubleshooting as well as send out any parts you might need at no cost to you since the faucet comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Check to make sure the shut offs are completely turned open, check the faucet head for lodged particles, remove supply lines & check for lodged particles.
Could be a kink nin pullout hose>
I’m on a Well so it’s ok for the pressure we get
not long enough for that.
Yes. I suppose it depends on the size of your laundry tub. My tub is Mustee 23W x 25D x 33/34H from floor. I can fill water into a bucket located on the floor. However, you will be filling the bucket from a raised position of the faucet head. In other words, the hose will extend over the tub, but not low enough to put the faucet head inside the bucket. Notice the white sticker on the hose...that is where the weight will be place restricting the length of the hose if you use the weight. I don’t use the weight.
Maybe, it depends upon how far away your pan is. The weight on the hose restricts its length of extension to about 18 inches. I am not sure that is enough to fill your pan.
No.
yes it pulls out, i don't know if it would be long enough to reach the floor. I would however be long enough to extend beyond the edge of the sink, if you don't put the counter weight.
Yes, the nozzle has a 16" hose.
