How does it Light up?

I bought this Bathroom Faucet about a year ago and I install it by myself with no experience before. It easy to install and it has a beautiful color. I love it so much.
Great faucet! but it doesn't "Light" up!
I installed two Glacier Bay bathroom sink faucets and both of them were leaking at the horizontal rod where it is inserted into the drain pipe. I pushed it in as instructed but somehow, it leaks there. I hope to find a fix before returning them to Home Depot. Thank you.

My reply is it happened to me too! Glacier Bay did not test or can see the flaw in this design.
Mine has been in for six months now and I have no leaks and I love them
